**About the Role:**

You will be part of the Enterprise Data Organization, composed of 70 colleagues based in Penang, US, and US colleagues within our Maritime Operations cluster. You will provide support on research, validation, and update of Trade data.
As part of the research and analysis requirements, you will support our expansion on data integration and migration projects by aligning our maritime and trade data sets to a new platform to create more data insight for our customers. This will not only enable exposure to research and analysis of the maritime and trade datasets but also collaboration with data Transformation colleagues in our Enterprise Data Organization team.
**Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include:**
- Research & analysis pertaining to Maritime and trade-related datasets as applicable to Ships, Companies, Ownerships, Compliances, Sanctions, Ports, Trade & Bill of Lading.
- Updating and maintaining the data in response to the above.
- Working closely with in-country/regional experts to validate data.
- Capture and validate data through our primary and newly acquired sources to transform data into critical information.

**Responsibilities and Impact:**
+ Primarily responsible for collection of country-specific (China - Mandarin) financial reports and conversion of the document to English transcription document with the highest degree of quality output and timeliness goals

The Team: Translations department is part of the Documents Insights and Services domain within the Market Intelligence division at S&P Global. The team is responsible for delivering accurate and timely translated content to internal financial and non-financial data collection teams within the division. It also supports translation requirements for other divisions as well as Corporate, Technology, Legal and News groups within the company.
The Impact: As a translator/linguist, you are responsible for producing quality translation in the target language. You will also be responsible for relevant and market specific research; data collection and analysis of the financial industry and other-related activities in the covered region through key processes established. Additionally, you will also maintain the most up-to-date market knowledge document through collaboration with relevant stakeholders and participate in projects to ensure the data integrity. Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the data collection, management, and reporting related to environmental, key materials, and upstream suppliers utilized in VF's global supply chain.

Skills:
· Minimum 3 years of experience in data management and development, preferably in the supply chain industry.
· Excellent in speaking and writing English, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders of all levels. Local language skills are a plus.
· Strong understanding of data flows, data architecture, ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes, and processing of structured and unstructured data.
· Excellent data analysis and report/dashboard visualization skills.
· Ability to analyze and draw conclusions from audit data and present those conclusions in a report format.
· Ability to understand, interpret, and translate conceptual models into practical and executable initiatives.
