Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Industrial Engineering Manager located in Flex PTP.
Reporting to the General Manager the Senior Industrial Engineering Manager role is responsible for managing a team of industrial engineers working on increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.
What a typical day looks like:
- Manages a team of engineers and technicians to establish work measurement programs and evaluates work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
- Evaluates staff utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to define efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
- Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocation work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
- May develop management systems for cost reviews, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation
- Develops management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost reviews, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.
- Designs or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as defining the most efficient plant locations.
- Organizes details into a broad view of the total operations and organization of Flex.
- Partners with other engineering team members to design manufacturable new products
- Manages initiatives to increase throughput, reduce cost and improve performance in constrained areas.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 15 years related working experience
- Demonstrates a general knowledge of functional concepts and a rudimentary understanding of policies and procedures.
- Good comprehension of investigation and technical processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Productivity improvement project: Lead in cost saving projects such as Productivity improvement, cycle time improvement, MMR improvement, etc. to meet company goals.
- Capacity planning and analysis to meet the volume demand and maximize the plant utilization.
- Maintain IE database and lead on the IE related system project.
- Time study and time standards: Perform time study data collection and analysis, continuous improvement based on Lean concept.
- Define production layout to ensure high efficiency and ergonomic for Lean operation.
- Coordinate in tool relocation & re-layout activities.
- Resources planning for DL & IDL based on production volume targets.
- Carried out material flow & process flow analysis. Study and explore opportunity to improve current process flow, material flow, line balancing, etc.….
- Validate automation performance and capability.
- Support IE in validating offline process activity such as conversion time, kitting time, tooling preparation time, etc. and opportunity to improve the offline activities cycle time.
- Collaborate with Production, QA, Process, and Automation team to achieve Operations KPI’s.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. E.g. Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or others related Engineering disciplinary.
- Working experience 3-7 years.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other analysis tools.
- Familiar with AutoCAD.
- Knowledge in LEAN & Six Sigma is an added advantage.

Job Description
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a SIRI and Industrial Engineering L&D Manager located in Perai, Penang .
This role assists with managing customer accounts in all aspects of the business relationship.
What a typical day looks like:
- Define a standard business process to enable site to conduct self-assessment and to improve its SIRI scores
- Lead and facilitate the site Industrial Engineers to participate in the CAP trainings and any GISE relevant trainings that support the Flex Future Factory workstream
- Coach and facilitate GISE technical skill transformation activities through Global IE work groups, which comprise committees from all sites
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in Industrial Engineering with substantial technical expertise. Typically requires 10+ years of relevant hands(1)on experience in engineering roles.
- Ability to guide and lead projects in alignment with business initiatives and technical development needs.
- Excellent skills in managing and enhancing team dynamics. Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others in a collaborative working environment.
- Understanding of the strategic impact of engineering, automation, digitization spectrum in the shop floor operations and integration processes, supply chain, and back-office functions across various sites, business segments, and regions
- Must be able to support different time zones and demonstrate willingness to provide on-site mobility support as needed.
