About The Job
The Assistant Spa Manager supports the daily operations of the spa, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and service excellence. This role involves supervising spa staff, coordinating schedules, maintaining standards, and assisting in achieving sales and wellness targets.
As Assistant Spa Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Assist the Spa Manager in overseeing daily spa operations, including treatment rooms, reception, and retail areas.
- Supervise, train, and motivate spa therapists, receptionists, and support staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Ensure smooth scheduling of appointments, staff shifts, and treatment availability.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene in all spa areas.

- Direct and supervise daily spa operations including reception, treatment rooms, retail, and wellness areas.
- Ensure compliance with Sofitel service standards, SOPs, and brand identity guidelines.

- Maintain adequate inventory of products, linens, and spa supplies with cost control measures.

- Financial acumen with proven track record in revenue management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English required; Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin an advantage.

- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in spa operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel/resort spa or wellness environment is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in managing spa revenue, treatments, retail sales, and guest satisfaction.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a multicultural team.
- Knowledge of spa treatments, wellness therapies, and beauty services.

Pre-requisites:
️Good spoken and written communication skills. We want someone who can chat it up with clients and work seamlessly with our team.
️Sound knowledge of all basic movement patterns such as push-pull, hip hinge, squat, lunge, and the anatomy of muscles involved.
️Basic understanding of caloric balance. You don't have to be a nutrition expert, but it helps if you can explain the concept to our clients without getting tongue-tied.
️Be a walking and talking role model. We're not saying you have to be the next Joanna Soh or Jordan Yeoh, but we do expect you to embody a healthy lifestyle, both online and offline.
️Having a personal trainer certification is a bonus, however, the absence of it should not hold you back from applying since we will look into referring the right certification for you to go through and take you through the interview process if we see fit.
️Possess a current and valid CPR & AED - Basic Life Support certification. If you haven't got it, you must agree to fulfill it within the first 3 months of joining us.
