Snapshot Of The Role

Lead, monitor, evaluate and facilitate farm operating process for continued growth and sustainability in line with the Company’s direction.

You Are Driven To

  • Formulate and implement plans, strategies, operating process, and efficiency targets/metrics/measures to optimise resources, quality, and production at the lowest cost possible and resource optimisation.
  • Conduct audits, field inspections, system analyses, and workflow analyses to benchmark within and outside the industry requirement and validate the progress.
  • Facilitate the identified problem areas and recommend areas as a focus for process redesign to promote effective, efficient, and economic practices.
  • Provide training, guidance, direction, performance review, mentoring, and motivation to staff in carrying out their roles and responsibilities, and integrating process improvement into operations.
  • Initiate and perform weekly and monthly production reviews with farms and management.
  • Manage budgets and costs.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science or equivalent.
  • Strong in problem-solving, analytical and leadership skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience at managerial capacity.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in using Viper Touch or a similar system to monitor the house environment shall be given the priority.
  • Computer literate.
  • Accommodation and transportation shall be provided for non-Sarawakian.

For our group company, NKG Vietnam, we are looking for an Agronomist Officer (f/m/d) in Dak Lak, Dak Nong & Gia Lai Branch.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare an annual internal inspection work plan and inspect sustainable coffee farmer groups/clubs followed by the BoM instruction.
  • Honestly and fully report the real situation of the farmers, farmer groups/clubs, and suppliers to BoM on time for possible advice and instruction.
  • Collect feedback from farmers and suggest a solution to develop and maintain the activities of sustainable coffee groups/clubs.
  • Supervise and speed up the farmer groups/clubs to comply with the standard/ code of conduct applied.
  • Support the annual training workshops followed by BoM instruction.
  • Report on the selling certified coffee activities (any difficulty or obstacles) of farmer groups/clubs to BoM.
  • Be ready to join other activities followed by BoM instruction.
  • Be well responsible for executing assigned tasks and finishing on time. Besides, report the real situation and result of working to the BoM.
  • Develop more farmers and farmer groups/clubs for sustainability programs for NKG Vietnam when required.

  • Knowledge: Grasp firmly coffee cultivation techniques such as planting, cultivation, harvest, and post-harvest. Grasp firmly Rainforest standard updated, 4C code of conduct, NKG Verified scorecard, and others if applied for certificated coffee production which is managed or controlled by NKG Vietnam.

+ Upgrade climate projects to regenerative agriculture level where possible to match with Regenerative Agriculture KPI reporting guidelines.
+ Lead on the big bet projects and organize, train the Procurement Division/ Sustainability Acceleration Team for the remaining scale up with strategic suppliers.
+ Investigate collaborative/co-financing large scale opportunities for the ingredient in strategic origins.
+ Monitor project progress, quality and overall roadmap deployment. Master internal project management tools (e.g. Service Now).
+ Report on the annual Regenerative Agriculture KPI for the ingredient.
**What will make you successful**
+ Demonstrated expertise on sustainable agriculture in tropical context (+temperate), environmental sciences, nature-based solutions.
+ Confirmed experience in implementing a multistakeholder project or strategy successfully, and/or strong track record in managing complex projects at a global scale.
+ Theoretical & practical know-how in supplier management and agricultural operations. Field experience and passion for nature. Willingness to travel to field on occasion and meet with stakeholders.
+ Assertive, can-do attitude
+ Good knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, data management tools.
+ Fluent English speaker, Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
