About the role
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic University Marketing & Student Engagement Associate to strengthen our presence within USM and its student community. This role is ideal for someone passionate about student engagement, on-ground marketing, and building strong connections within the academic ecosystem. You will be the face of our brand on campuses, actively engaging students, faculty, and career services to promote our programs.
Your key responsibilities
Student Engagement & Relationship Building
- Act as the primary point of contact for interested students, answering queries and providing detailed information about our programs.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with university career services, student clubs, and faculty to create promotional opportunities.
- Gather feedback and insights from students to refine marketing and outreach strategies.
On-Ground Marketing & Event Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute on-campus marketing activities such as information booths, career fairs, workshops, and promotional events.
- Build and maintain strong brand visibility within key universities and colleges.
- Manage event logistics including venue bookings, promotional materials, and on-site setup.
Public Speaking & Presentations
- Deliver engaging and persuasive presentations, from small classroom talks to large-scale seminars.
- Clearly articulate the value and benefits of our programs to a diverse student audience.
The ideal candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 1–2 years in marketing, events, sales, or related roles. Experience as a campus ambassador, in student affairs, or education recruitment is a plus. Fresh USM graduates with a passion for marketing and strong communication skills are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in Bahasa and English is a must.
- Confident public speaker with the ability to engage diverse student audiences.
- Proactive Attitude: a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable with frequent travel to various USM campuses to support the role effectively; therefore, a valid driver’s license is required.
