What you’ll do:
Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you’ll provide personal care, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home. As a BAYADA CNA, you’ll have the opportunity to develop close relationships with your clients while you help them with:
- Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc.
- Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, etc.
- Meal preparation and feeding
- Range of motion/exercises
- Assisting with ambulation (transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices)
- Vital sign checks: temperature, pulse, respiration

The University of Cyberjaya seeks an experienced, visionary, highly collaborative and dynamic academic leader to serve as its Executive Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Allied Health Sciences and Traditional and Complementary Medicine. This senior administrative position will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the Faculty, enhancing its academic excellence, fostering research, collaborating with other university faculties and ensuring the development of future healthcare professionals. In leading the Faculty’s next phase of growth and development, the Executive Dean will, in collaboration with the senior leadership of the University, provide strategic vision and operational leadership to all aspects of the academic and scholarly programs. This includes setting priorities for enhancing scholarship, promoting research and outreach, and providing excellence in undergraduate, graduate, and professional education. In supporting the University’s research endeavours, the Executive Dean will also be an enthusiastic collaborator and will advance the scholarly activities of the Faculty, including solidifying partnerships for interdisciplinary opportunities.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to innovation in education, research, and community engagement. The Executive Dean will possess an in-depth understanding of the current challenges in national and global healthcare. He/she will work towards addressing these challenges by working with a wide range of stakeholders and by forging relationships for future partnerships and innovation. The Executive Dean will also enhance the visibility and impact of the Faculty’s research work while increasing research funding and revenue. The Executive Dean will be expected to work effectively with faculty, students, partner hospitals, and industry representatives as partners to advance the University’s research, teaching, and service endeavours.
This position reports to the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for all Faculty initiatives and programs to strengthen reputation across teaching excellence, research, clinical care, and community engagement.
- Oversee academic planning, policy development, and execution of initiatives to ensure the Faculty’s growth and success.
- Foster a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty and students within and outside the University.
- Lead curriculum development and ensure the delivery of high-quality education that meets accreditation standards.
- Support faculty and staff development, mentoring, and promotion to enhance teaching effectiveness and research capabilities.
- Promote interdisciplinary education and collaboration within the university’s healthcare programs.
- Ensure educational programs at all levels provide a positive learning experience and innovative educational opportunities to facilitate the transition from student to professional.
- Promote student recruitment, retention, and success by providing a supportive learning environment.
- Address student concerns and promote opportunities for experiential learning, clinical practice, and professional development.
- Engage with students through mentorship and support programs to enhance their educational experience.
- Promote a culture of research and scholarly activity among faculty and students.
- Secure funding and resources for research initiatives, including the establishment of partnerships with healthcare institutions, government agencies, and industry.
- Support faculty members in their pursuit of innovative research and knowledge dissemination.
- Manage budgetary, personnel, and operational aspects of the various programs and initiatives of the Faculty.
- Recruit, hire, and retain qualified faculty and staff to support the University’s mission and strategic priorities.
- Analyse internal processes and make recommendations for process improvement to drive efficiencies and improve execution.
- Foster a collegial and inclusive work environment for faculty, staff, and students.
- Foster and maintain partnerships with healthcare organisations, research institutions, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to enhance experiential learning opportunities, research collaborations, and funding support.
- Represent the University at professional conferences, and other external forums to promote the University’s reputation and visibility.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership to explore and develop new initiatives and educational pathways that align with the University’s strategic goals.
- Cultivate community relationships for outreach programs, health advocacy and transformational initiatives that align with the University’s mission.
Candidates must possess:
- A relevant qualification recognised by the Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB), and a recognised postgraduate qualification in a related discipline.
- A PhD or equivalent research experience in a relevant field.
- Credentials that merit appointment at the rank of professor within the Faculty.
- A valid MNB registration and Annual Practicing Certificate at the time of application.
- An outstanding academic track record, including teaching, research, and clinical practice.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in academic leadership, preferably at the level of department head, associate dean, or dean.
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, accreditation processes, and strategic planning in medical education.

The Clinical Nursing Instructor plays a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring nursing students through their clinical practice. Responsibilities include supervising and teaching students on patient care, nursing procedures, and infection control measures to ensure competency and adherence to best practices. The instructor will conduct bedside teaching, facilitate learning in skills labs and mock wards, and oversee students’ progress in clinical settings, including managing clinical assessments and logbook completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students in the Planning and Implementation of patient care according to disciplines;
- Supervise students in the importance of giving effective patient care and the importance of cost-effective measures through the reduction of infection in patient care;
- Supervise students and teach students on nursing procedures according to various disciplines throughout student’s clinical practice and to ensure students are able to learn and gain knowledge on expected competencies;
- Teach and supervise students in the area of patient care based on nursing processes and procedures;
- Prepare the orientation pack for all new students and to be the preceptor in Orientation programs.
- Conduct bedside teaching in wards based on the learning outcomes;
- Assist academic staff in preparing and teaching nursing skills in the mock ward and during OSCE.
- Assist and supervise students during student’s practice of nursing procedures in the skills lab and mock ward;
- Conduct clinical assessment to achieve the objectives of clinical posting in a clinical setting;
- Ensures that students complete their nursing procedures in the logbook before they can proceed to the next semester;
- Provides assistance and supervision to students throughout their clinical practice;
- Prepare clinical rosters for students due for clinical postings;
- Assist in the teaching and entering of clinical marks into the information management system;
- Assist the lecturers in the teaching of skills procedures in skills lab and mock ward; and
- Involve in activities organised by faculty such as faculty meetings, open day and orientation week and to perform any task given by the dean whenever required.
- Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing with a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience. Having a Post Basic is an added advantage;
- Have a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC);
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
- Able to work effectively and efficiently as a team member as well as independently;
- Able to communicate effectively and work with the management and other staff; and
- Possess own transport to be able to commute to students’ clinical area.

2. Scope
The staff member will perform teaching, examining, research duties, and other obligations typical of an academic staff member at IIUM. They should also undertake moral and religious responsibilities, participate in meetings, and engage in the life of the university community. Additionally, they are expected to advise and guide students on character, behavior, and moral conduct, embodying roles as teacher, scholar, and moral educator.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars.
- Conduct laboratory practical sessions and problem-based learning.
- Develop curricula and course materials adaptable across platforms.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and expand knowledge.
- Set, invigilate, and grade assessments.
- Engage in research, publishing papers, proposals, and books.
- Participate in meetings, conferences, and institutional events.
- Attend training opportunities.
- Support students and colleagues.
- Stay current in the field through reading and publishing.
4. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine or Nursing, with a PhD in Medical Sciences, Health Sciences, or related fields recognized by the government or equivalent.
- Broad experience in medical sciences, particularly pathology and anatomy, is preferred.
- Good teamwork skills.
- Flexibility, resilience, and willingness to work long hours.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire students.
- Digital literacy skills are highly preferred.
6. Language Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English (oral and written) at SPM level or equivalent.
- IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4. Candidates without these must undertake the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.

Responsibilities
- Provide high standards of nursing care.
- Provide dedicated service with respect to patients’ spiritual and cultural beliefs.
- Adhere to Patient Safety Goals in compliance with the standards set by the Ministry of Health.
- Be a fast learner and computer literate.
- Perform all other duties of a Registered Staff Nurse Practitioner.
- Manage the department to ensure efficient and effective daily operational activities.
- Provide supervision and guidance to junior nurses to ensure a high standard of nursing care is provided.
- Undertake special responsibilities for the Operation Theatre Unit.
- Plan and manage patient care in the department to fulfill and exceed customer satisfaction.
- Possess Post Basic in Perioperative Nursing/Degree/Diploma in Nursing and must be registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Staff Nurse OT.
- Preferable candidate with experience in special units and Post Basic certificate.
- Possess valid latest APC 2024.
- Willing to be deployed and work on shifts.
