We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager specializing in Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) to lead our hardware team with a focus on Existing customer growth and New Product Introduction (NPI) . Preference will be given to candidates with High-Mix Low-Volume (HMLV) manufacturing experience and a track record of continuous improvement in yield, quality, and cost efficiency.

• Oversee end-to-end NPI activities for PCBA, ensuring smooth transition from design to mass production.

• Resolve technical challenges during prototyping, pilot runs, and production ramp-up.

• Optimize PCBA processes for HMLV environments, ensuring flexibility and efficiency.
• Manage BOM optimization, component obsolescence, and sourcing strategies.
• Coordinate with internal equipment teams for quick changeovers and minimal downtime.

• Develop PFMEA and implement poka-yoke solutions to improve first-pass yield.
• Lead root cause analysis for PCBA failures and implement corrective actions.
• Establish quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Identify and execute cost-reduction opportunities without compromising quality.
• Implement Lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste.
• Optimize inventory management for HMLV production to reduce excess inventory.

• Mentor engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with Test engineering, Operations, and QA teams to ensure product reliability.
• Communicate updates to senior management.

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in PCBA manufacturing/NPI, including 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience in HMLV manufacturing, yield improvement, and cost reduction.
• Expertise in IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7351).
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making skills.

• Experience in manufacturing engineering for PCBA assembly.
• Knowledge of thermal/mechanical stress analysis for reliability.
• Background in industrial and test measurement product compliance.

The Senior Process Engineer uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external issues to improve the process engineering discipline within McDermott. Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering
• 8-15 years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultants predominantly performing detail design
• Strong working knowledge of many design techniques and analysis methods and detailed knowledge of the content and application of standards codes and guidelines as applicable
• All Engineering disciplines, Fabrication Group, Safety Department, Document Control, Procurement Group, Subcontractors, Vendors, and Customers
• Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or member of professional engineering society as applicable

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Perform conceptual, FEED, Studies and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes, and standards
• Direct Engineering team as a Lead Engineer on small projects
• Apply knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations
• Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and procedures
• Manage own time to meet agreed deadlines and budgets and develop plans for short-term work activities in own area
• Clearly communicate and explain complex issues and work to establish understanding
• Be fully familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements, including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address the issues

• Interface with all disciplines to develop clash-free designs

• Assist in the preparation of estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews, execution statements, and work-hour estimates
• Raise technical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope, and maintain preferred McDermott procedures, specifications, standards, practices, and operational requirements
• Prepare Discipline engineering design basis, philosophies, and technical specifications as required
• Participate in finalizing deliverables lists and deliverables, ensuring compliance with specifications and functional integrity
• Attend project review meetings, vendor meetings, engineering meetings, and offshore site surveys, as required
• Provide technical direction and review of Designers producing products related to Process Engineering
• Prepare and review design reports and procedures
• Assist in providing necessary design inputs to other disciplines to enable them to proceed with their deliverables
• Review vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessary
• Guide less experienced engineers on MDR and Discipline procedures, standards, worksheets, design calculations, software, requisitions, technical bid evaluations, technical queries, etc.
• Check engineering performed by others within the discipline
• Be aware of costs related to own work and of the discipline
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of hands-on experience in injection moulding, with at least 3 years in a senior engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of mould design, tool validation, process optimization, and scientific moulding techniques.
• Familiar with injection moulding machines (e.g., Engel, Arburg, Husky), auxiliary equipment, and automation systems.
• Proven track record in process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and documentation within a regulated industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Principal Task : The successful candidate will first and foremost be responsible for regulatory affairs and product registrations for all SciMed products. The candidate will be the focal point of contact for advice on regulatory guidelines and activities. Besides regulatory affairs, the candidate will also support the Management Representative in ensuring an effective Quality Management System (QMS) and local implementation of PHC’s compliance policies and ensure full adherence where necessary.

1. Regulatory Affairs

• Understand relevant regulatory regulations, policies & procedures behind the company’s business activities and products
• Ensure product and company’s compliance with regulations for maintenance of approvals
• Maintain ISO and GDPMDS records, and work closely with the ISO/GDPMDS team to provide timely updates on company’s regulatory and licensing matters
• Preparation and submission of regulatory applications, including creating and maintaining templates and ensuring completion of submissions
• Advise management on regulatory processes, compliance and updates to policies
• Responsible for the maintenance of regulatory documentation databases
• Develop and maintain communication with regulatory agencies regarding submission strategies, compliancetest requirements, potential regulatory pathways, or clarification, and follow-up on submissions and reviews quality management systemo new product(s) launch in local and/or regional markets
• Main contact point for various regulatory-related internal inquiries regarding logistics, pre/post-marketing events in addressing customers’ requirements.

2. Quality Management System

• Support the Management Representative in the company quality management system
• Maintain and update the document control system to ensure all quality-related documents are easily accessible, properly categorized, and up to date.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with ISO9001, GDPMDS and other relevant standards.
• Review and update ISO 9001 & GDPMDS documents when necessary and maintain records.
• Review and ensure all documents, including SOPs, work instructions, manuals, and forms, meet regulatory and company standards.
• Handle quality related matters such as non-conformances, customer complaints, change notification.
• Handle customer or supplier related enquiries, questionnaire and etc.
• Prepare for internal and external audits and ensure successful outcomes, tackle audit findings and recommendations in a timely manner
• Follow-up and verify corrective/preventive action (CAPA) effectiveness.
• Provide ISO 9001 and GDPMDS orientation to new employees

3. Compliance

• Coordinate, schedule and conduct required compliance orientation and training for employees
• Responsible to ensure compliance to regulations related to export controls and maintain records
• Provide support to employees on regulatory requirement and compliance procedures.
• Serve as a BizSafe member by overseeing and coordinating the preparation, management, and maintenance of all risk management and related documentation. Ensure all required documents are completed, up-to-date, and in compliance with BizSafe standards and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should bring with them

• A Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical or any other related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in performing a similar job scope.
• Relevant experience in regulatory affairs will be advantageous
• Good knowledge and application of Microsoft 365.
• Able to work under a matrix reporting structure.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• A strong database experience (Access, Excel) to set up functions, enter data or process information.
