You will be an on-site practitioner for one of our partners, directly supporting employees' mental health and personal growth based on individual needs and goals. This is delivered primarily through in-person 1-on-1 sessions.
We are seeking to partner with Clinical Psychologists and counsellors to be part of a community working collaboratively to bring greater mental health access to the public and provide mental health coaching.
What You'll Do- Provide onsite/in-person mental health counselling for the employees of Intellect's local clients in Malaysia
- Report to the client's office for 9 hours a day, 5 days a week
- Deliver New Hire Orientation sessions on resilience, stress triggers and management and wellbeing resources available
- Conduct workshops for managers on empathy and identifying distress in employees
- Teach groups coping mechanisms related to stressful and traumatic information they encounter
- Ideate and conduct team-building / fun activities
- Moderate peer group support sessions
- Develop and deliver on-site group sessions and workshops to promote mental health education, resilience and awareness
- Deliver customized training programs as per the requirement of the employee group in consensus with the wellness coordinator
- Share monthly reports on utilisation / participation
- Collaboratively work with Intellect's internal clinical team by suggesting improvements to the program and the platform
- Has a Master / Postgraduate Diploma training in Counselling / Clinical Psychology
- Skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or other evidence-based approaches (e.g. Motivational Interviewing, DBT, SFBT, etc.)
- Candidate must have at least 300 clinical hours
- Candidate must be proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Candidates with prior experience in EAP, counselling working with adults or coaching managerial roles is a plus

I offer face-to-face counselling as well as online. I provide a calm, safe space for people to work through issues that are causing them difficulties.
I believe that sometimes we soar and other times we struggle; my aim is to work with whatever you bring into the room, and I will do the best I can to help you move forward in a happier, healthier way.
As a counsellor, I have helped people with a variety of issues. Talking about your concerns and being listened to wholeheartedly can really help clarify worries you may be having about relationships, work, or life in general.
No problem is too big or too small. I firmly believe that I can help you find a solution that suits you and your life.
I grew up in Scotland and emigrated in 2003 with my two children and husband. I have worked here in a variety of jobs before realizing my passion for counselling.
I have a Masters in Counselling and have attended training courses in Trauma Informed Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Pluralistic Therapy, Miri-Miri and Romi-Romi, Internal Family Systems, and Self-Compassion. I am passionate about Self-Compassion work.
