Description
- Prepare journal entries for month-end close, including those related to Revenue Recognition and Finance Lease Accounting
- Manage the month-end closing activities and provide timely financial reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform monthly financial analysis and support the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Create board reports that include in-depth analysis and commentary on key accounting issues for senior leadership.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to collect data for consolidation and ensure uniformity in financial reporting processes.
- Take an active role in managing and executing special finance projects, adjusting to changing priorities and business needs.
- Collaborate with external auditors to support a smooth year-end audit process.
- Compile year-end financial statements and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
Profile
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis and reporting
- Experience with a Big 4 firm is advantageous but not mandatory
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

We are seeking a visionary and technically strong Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to spearhead a full-cycle Waste-to-Energy (WtE) project in Malaysia—from feasibility, technology selection, design, and plant construction through to operations. You will lead engineering, innovation, and strategic partnerships to deliver a scalable, bankable, and sustainable WtE facility using best-in-class technology.
This is a founding leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, with technical authority over the project.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership : Drive end-to-end technical execution of a WtE plant—from concept design, permitting, and procurement to construction, commissioning, and operations. Providing technical leadership and strategic direction for the company's waste-to-energy initiatives
Technology Selection : Evaluate and select optimal WtE conversion technologies (e.g., anaerobic digestion, pyrolysis, gasification, RDF, biomass incineration) suitable for local feedstock and regulatory conditions. Overseeing the design, development and implementation of cutting-edge waste-to-energy technologies
Engineering Oversight : Build, mentor, develop and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, process), EPC contractors, and external consultants.
Budget & Timeline Control : Collaborate with COO and CFO to ensure the project is delivered on time, on spec, and on budget.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure full compliance with Malaysian environmental and energy regulations (e.g., DOE, SEDA, MESTECC).
Innovation & IP : Identify opportunities for technology IP, modular system design, and future scale-up.
Stakeholder Management : Represent the technical vision to investors, government agencies, partners, and community stakeholders.
Operations Readiness : Oversee plant commissioning, SOP development, and training of operations & maintenance (O&M) teams.
RequirementsEducation & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, or Energy Engineering (PhD is a plus).
10+ years of experience in energy infrastructure projects; (minimum 5 years in waste-to-energy, bioenergy, or thermal conversion systems is a plus)
Proven track record delivering one or more WtE or industrial plant projects (preferably in Southeast Asia).
Technical Skills
Deep knowledge of WtE systems: incinerator, combustion, anaerobic digestion, RDF, pyrolysis, syngas, etc.
Strong understanding of plant design, thermodynamics, flue gas treatment, emissions control, and utility interconnection.
Experience managing EPC contracts and international technology suppliers.
Ability to translate technical complexities into actionable plans and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Passion for sustainable energy solutions and a commitment to environmental stewardship
Leadership & Communication
Strategic thinker with the ability to lead large cross-functional technical teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to interface effectively with government, investors, and engineering partners.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with Malaysian environmental permitting (e.g., EIA/DOE).
Familiarity with carbon credits, CDM/VERRA, or ESG-linked project finance.

Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will work on EHouse FPSO projects of medium to high complexity, applying basic design thinking and design for excellence concepts. The work model is hybrid and onsite, based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will be responsible for:
- Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques to perform engineering assignments in areas such as:
- Developing Key Single Line Diagrams (SLD) & Protection SLDs
- Conducting system studies like load flow, short circuit, and transient analysis
- Performing designing calculations including transformer and battery sizing, earthing, cable sizing, and lighting
- Preparing data sheets and specifications for equipment such as transformers, switchgear, UPS, bus ducts, and cables
- Creating equipment layouts, cable routing, earthing, bus duct, lighting layouts, and fixing arrangements
- Producing detailed equipment drawings for various electrical components

Position Overview: As the Senior Manager of Portfolio Transformation Program within our APAC Regional MedTech Surgery Transformation PMO team for EndoMech and Energy, you will play a critical role in leading the evolution of our portfolio while shaping and executing our transformation strategy within a dynamic environment. Your leadership will influence cross-functional teams and guide strategic initiatives that align local market execution with global capabilities.
The Portfolio Transformation Senior Manager will lead and coordinate all strategic initiatives related to the EndoMech and Energy platform transformation and will be responsible for simplifying the way we work and streamlining our product portfolio. Key responsibilities include reducing portfolio complexity, driving improved efficiency, improved financial performance and unlocking opportunities for future growth for J&J MedTech.
The Portfolio Transformation Senior Manager will report to the AP MT Surgery APAC Transformation PMO Lead and will partner and collaborate closely with key regional, external, and functional stakeholders to establish robust analytics and governance.
- Partner closely across product management, Global Strategic Marketing and LCM to understand portfolio transformation plan and drive implementation to ensure an efficient, productive and profitable product portfolio.
- Builds and manages the end-to-end financial model for Margin improvement including Commercial metrics, SC metrics, and other Cost drivers in collaboration with Finance.
- Drive pipeline prioritization and end-to-end, cross-functional resource alignment to realize both the short-term and long-term Platform goals. Develop and deliver project milestones and execute cost improvement projects for profitability.
- Communicate timelines and progress across all functional partners and works closely with the LCM, Global, Regional and Local Marketing, Supply Chain, and all platforms to drive the project forward in a timely manner.
- Manage expenses within budget.
- Partner with Supply Chain ensuring a robust Integrated Business Planning process.

Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to work on EHouse FPSO projects from medium to high complexity. You will showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking and design for excellence concepts in projects. The work model for this role is: Hybrid #LI-Hybrid, Onsite #LI-Onsite. This role contributes to the Process Automation Energy Industries EHouse Business and is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments, including:
- Overall Key Single Line Diagram (SLD) & Protection Single Line Diagram (SLD)
- System studies like load flow, short circuit, transient studies, etc.
- Design calculations such as transformer sizing, battery sizing, earthing calculations, cable sizing, cable tray sizing, lighting calculations.
- Preparing data sheets & specifications for equipment like transformers, MV & LV switchgear, UPS systems, bus ducts, cable trays, earthing systems.
- Creating equipment layouts, cable routing/layouts, cable schedules, earthing designs, bus duct layouts, lighting layouts, switchgear fixing drawings.
- Producing detailed equipment drawings for transformers, switchgear, bus ducts, DC/UPS systems, NGR, Is Limitor.
- Coordinating with different disciplines and ensuring on-time delivery of all engineering deliverables as per project requirements, including coordination with customers & suppliers across locations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology, preferably with a focus on Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience in engineering for offshore FPSO EHouse projects.
- Familiarity with ABS and DNV requirements.
- Proficiency in design tools such as ETAP, lighting calculation, and cable sizing tools.
- Knowledge of relevant international standards, such as IEC, is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

The Energy Manager operates at the site level within the technical department, directly reporting to the Technical Manager. The role collaborates cross-functionally with various site teams and integrates into the overall energy management strategy of the company. Core internal stakeholders are the plant manager, technical manager, asset manager, project engineers, process & manufacturing excellence teams, maintenance & production teams. External stakeholders include suppliers, contractors, energy consultants, regulatory authorities and auditors.
The primary purpose is to drive energy efficiency, reduce site energy consumption, and support the company’s sustainability goals by identifying and implementing energy saving initiatives. This role also ensures the site meets its energy related regulatory requirements and contributes to overall cost savings through optimized energy use. The mission is to reduce the site’s energy intensity and CO2 footprint by implementing best practices, energy saving projects and innovative solutions, while maintaining compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
The role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company’s sustainability goals by driving energy efficiency and cost reduction at the site level, and the opportunity to engage with energy experts across different regions, contributing to a global network of energy management best practices.
Key Responsibilities Includes:
1. Developing a multi-year plan for energy & GHG reduction
The Energy Manager will be responsible for creating a multiyear roadmap to achieve the site’s 2030 energy intensity and GHG reduction targets, in line with corporate targets and Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This includes setting clear, actionable milestones, assessing the feasibility of renewable energy integration, and implementing low-carbon technologies across the site. The plan must be periodically updated and aligned with corporate goals, and its progress closely monitored through KPIs.
2. Monitoring of the site energy consumption and analyzing the data
The Energy Manager is responsible for the continuous monitoring of energy consumption using the Energy Management System (EMS). They will identify trends, anomalies, and inefficiencies and communicate findings to the site team, including actionable insights.
3. Identifying energy saving opportunities & leading energy projects
The Energy Manager will assess assets, processes, and systems to identify areas where energy can be saved. They will plan and manage energy saving projects, collaborating with the Maintenance and Process teams to implement changes. These projects may include upgrading equipment, optimizing processes, or changing operational procedures to improve energy efficiency. Standards defined by the global energy team are implemented on the site by the Energy Manager.
4. Maintaining compliance with Energy Regulations and build foundations energy management system based on IS0 50001
The Energy Manager ensures the site is compliant with the energy management standards as rolled out by the global energy team and with the requirements of local energy regulations. They will prepare for energy audits, document compliance, and lead any required certifications.
5. Training and Engaging Operators and Technicians and broader internal stakeholders such as engineering, process and procurement
The Energy Manager is responsible for raising energy awareness and training the site’s operational teams on best practices for energy efficiency. This includes running workshops, hands-on training sessions, leading GEMBA walks for energy, regular updates on energy saving techniques and leading a cross-functional energy team. Develop and manage a site level recognition program for energy/environmental awareness.
6. Regular Reporting on Energy Performance and main KPI’s
The Energy Manager is responsible for tracking and reporting energy performance data, including energy intensity, savings achieved, and project outcomes. This reporting serves as the foundation for decision-making at both site and corporate levels.
Candidate Profile:
Communication and Collaboration
The Energy Manager will need to work closely with various internal and external stakeholders (e.g., Technical Manager, Maintenance Team, Energy Champions at other sites, external auditors). Excellent communication skills are required for reporting results, training staff, and working across functions.
Leadership and Influence
As the leader of energy initiatives, the candidate must be able to influence site-level staff, train operators, and maintain high engagement across teams. They will also need to foster buy-in from upper management for key energy projects
Results-Oriented
The role requires a proactive individual who is focused on achieving tangible energy reductions and cost savings.
The candidate must have the ability to identify and diagnose energy inefficiencies and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions. Critical thinking is necessary to handle complex technical challenges in real-time operations.

The candidate will need to be a strong team player, working closely with multiple departments (technical, maintenance, operations, corporate energy team). They must excel in cross-functional teamwork, fostering positive relationships and open communication.
