We are looking for Hardware Design Engineer to support our client services that include but not limited to BOM, Schematic and layout of the platform for next generation of CPU/GPU/PCH which will be used for validation team to validate the CPU/PCH/GPU from different segment like Server, Client, Graphic and Device division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with multiple teams like layout, material, power delivery, signal integrity, package design, board validation, software coding and various board design teams to deliver a good quality board design or system which meets the platform and system level electrical requirement, High speed digital signal requirement, DFT and DFM requirements.
- Hands on in using and working on Allegro Design Entry HDL(ConceptHDL) and Allegro PCB Designer for schematic edit and PCB layout review respectively. And also “Speed” for the BOM management. To ensure the platform power on in the lab and debug with lab equipment like scope, LA and etc if the board has any issues.
- Good knowledge in PCB routing topology and design guidelines, Layout placement strategy and guidelines, PCB stack up technology, debug and technical knowledge of all types of interfaces (DDR, PCIe, USB and etc) and also develop good technical knowledge like Architecture, types of Memory, Power Delivery, Power interfaces, Power Management, HSIO busses and etc.
- Proficiency in hardware description languages such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
- Test automation expertise with scripting/programming language
- Familiarity with FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array) and ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) design flows.
- Prior experience in logic design for high-speed interfaces, memory controllers, or digital signal processing (DSP) is a plus.
- FPGA and CPLD development
Requirements:
- At least Bachelor degree in EE, Electronic or EE related (Hardware)
- Good knowledge in PC Architecture, basis electronic components, basic circuit design and etc
- Good analytical and debug skill, and able to resolve the issues accordingly (Problem solving skill)
- Showing good communication, documentation and team works capability.
- Add on knowledge of Schematic, simulation and software programing is preferable

Responsibilities- Recognized subject matter expert for one or more technical areas. See Technical Competencies section.
- Lead the architect, design and implementation of technical solutions in multiple domains and market segments that meets the customer, regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to integrate electrical & electronic systems into overall product architecture and support product transition to manufacturing.
- With the relevant technical competencies, convert concepts into design requirements, integrate digital or analog design, develop schematic and review fabrication drawing, conduct design simulations / reliability analysis and drive PCB layout design.
- Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to validate design concepts and iterate as necessary.
- Support technical proposal, planning and cost estimation that will aid in the initial quoting process.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, regulations and best practices to contribute to the advancement of design best practices, procedures, quality, efficiency or the acquisitions of new capabilities.
- Passionate about solving complex issues and innovate under tight project requirement.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure seamless production and timely delivery, identify and evaluate materials and manufacturing processes that align with product requirements and contribute to cost effective solutions.
- Proficient in product development life cycle process and compliance to product quality standard.
- Ability to manage/lead complex, multiple line engineering projects that may also involve other functions. Demonstrate solid understanding of the technical, financial and people aspects of the project. Able to create a project/change management plan and ensure the project is delivered within the assigned time and budget. Ability to recognize project barriers and develop mitigation plans.

Signal Conditioning- Able to specify sensors based on application needs(e.g. temperature, humidity, pressure)
- Able to specify, design and test ADC/DAC circuits
- Able to specify, design and test front end filtering circuits (passive/active: low pass, high pass, band pass, band stop)
- Good understanding of noise and error sources within an analog front end
- Able to develop power architectures that are efficient, cost-effective and thermally optimized
- Able to develop power budgets
- Able to determine thermal dissipation metrics and assess if thermal management solutions are needed
- Able to specify, design and test POL regulator circuits (LDO, DC-DC) as well as power management circuits (Hot-Swap, Battery Charging Systems, Power OR-ing etc.)
- Strong understanding of RLCD operation and first principles.
- AC-DC Power Supply Design experience (bonus)
- Understands and able to implement Impedance Matching
- Wireless Module/Chipset selection, design and testing (Wi-Fi, BT, Cellular, GNSS)
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent. PHD with fewer industrial working experience is welcome to apply.
- Minimum 5-10 years of direct working experiences in embedded electrical and electronic product design within a multi-disciplinary environment and have completed multiple product development cycles.
- Good knowledge in industrial standards and system level environmental compliance.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English, ability to work in an international team.
- Good team work attitude, collaboration and communication skills.
- Business travel possible (include the oversea travel).
