1. Cost Control: Manage Monthly Cost Performance, review VOWD with client, monitor spend, and understand overspend/underspend reasons.

3. Documentation: Document work instructions, guidelines, and processes.

1. Site Execution

• Oversee earthworks, foundations (RC pads, piles), trenches, and building works (control rooms, inverter stations).
• Monitor steel structure erection for PV arrays and substations.
• Inspect reinforcement and structural elements before concreting.
• Supervise full construction of control buildings (substructure, superstructure, architectural finishes).

2. Quality Control & Assurance

• Ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Witness field tests (e.g., soil compaction, concrete cube, pile pull-out).
• Inspect alignment, dimensions, insulation, waterproofing, and fire-rated elements.
• Supervise concrete pouring and curing.

3. Multidisciplinary Coordination

• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and environmental teams.
• Resolve technical queries and RFIs.
• Review shop drawings and support handover inspections before equipment fit-out.

4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Track construction progress, identify delays, and report issues.
• Maintain detailed site records and photo documentation.
• Prepare progress updates for project managers and clients.

5. HSE Compliance

• Enforce safe work practices (e.g., excavation, lifting, working at height).
• Participate in safety walks and issue corrective actions.

6. Testing & Commissioning Support

• Support civil-related testing (e.g., structural integrity, drainage checks).
• Assist with punch list finalisation before handover.

7. Site Administration & Documentation

• Manage material submittals and approvals.
• Verify subcontractor progress and payment claims.
• Prepare and submit civil/structural as-built drawings.

Job Description:

• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing smoothly.
• Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, reports, and updates.
• Monitor project costs, manage budgets, and report on financial status.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.
• Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics) or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, including at least 2 years as a Mechanical Engineering.

• Execute projects assigned by the Project Manager (PM) or Assistant Project Manager (APM) within the approved budget and contractual timeline.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to clearly define the scope of supply. Review the project budget and request adjustments if the initial allocation is insufficient for successful execution.
• Identify required components, determine their needed-by dates, and initiate reservation or ordering through SAP for procurement by the Purchasing Department.
• Ensure timely handover of all relevant documentation and project information to other departments, and obtain their committed timelines for tasks under their responsibility.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the customer upon project commencement, addressing all technical clarifications, documentation, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning (T&C), and project handover—excluding commercial matters.
• Conduct site visits to identify any undocumented limitations affecting product design, delivery, or installation.
• Attend site meetings to coordinate project execution with relevant stakeholders.
• Alert the PM/APM and Sales team of any additional requirements or scope deviations resulting from unforeseen changes or customer requests prior to making any commitments.
• Coordinate with the Sales team and Finance Controller to initiate billing according to the contractual billing schedule at the respective project milestones.
• Support the Technical Administration Executive in gathering and reviewing documentation required for submissions to DOSH for design approval and load testing.
• Act as liaison between the customer’s site personnel and the internal installation team to ensure compliance with site safety protocols during installation and T&C.
• Report any significant deviations from the planned project budget to the PM/APM.
• Provide mentorship and training to new Project Engineers as assigned.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the PM or APM in relation to project execution.

• Possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent
• 3 to 4 years experience in project handling / management.
• Experience/Knowledge of site safety requirement, and installation process.
• This role is only for short term 6 months contract.
