**Job Overview**
The Data and Devices Business Unit is looking for a Sr. R&D Product Development Engineer (PDE) to design and develop socket, high speed connector and cable assembly solutions which are used inside of switches, servers and storage for data communication. In this role you will be responsible for the design and documentation of new products, from market definition through production and release. You will conceive original ideas for new products/solutions and develop them into practical and economical models. You will determine specifications, perform engineering analysis, make preliminary sketches and designs, and coordinate support operations (such as fabrication engineering samples and testing). Interaction with customers, vendors, marketing and sales personnel, and other engineering areas during the pre-production stages of new products is also an important part of this role.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for product development of socket, high-speed connector, and cable assembly solutions from market definition through production and release:
+ Work closely with the customer and TE sales/SA/FAE/PM in getting the right and clear VOC (voice of customer) and convert to a TE design conceptualization and preliminary product specification.
+ Conceive concepts and perform feasibility studies.
+ Run mechanical and thermal simulations.
+ Make the engineering evaluation/proposal to the customer.
+ Create the detailed design including 2D/3D drawings and perform DFMEA/tolerance analysis.
+ Build prototype samples and perform validation.
+ Complete product qualification and finalize product specification.
+ Provide technical support to the Operations team including Quality and Production for efficiency improvement and safe launch.
+ Resolve product related issues to closure and manage the ECN/PCN (Engineering Change Notification/ Product Change Notification).
+ Build a deep understanding of the market and customer needs by fostering a connection between the business engineering teams and the customer engineering teams
+ Maintain a system level understanding of the customer application and the product design/concept necessary for providing a solution to the customers' expectation.
+ Follow the LEANPD Project Process to support the project team from the product development engineering (PDE) perspective to complete the new product development project on time, quality and budget. Drive the development and release of product, scale-up through stage-gate reviews, ensuring milestone commitments are maintained.
+ Provide technical support to customer, sales, PM and plant teams. Conduct necessary DFMEA, tests, engineering analysis, trouble shooting and verification.
+ Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet all TE technical, quality, and cost objectives.
+ Execute technical documentation to fully detail design drawings and requirements, engineering and product change notices, and design history files.
**Job Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
+ Generally requires 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering work experience with electrical components, electrical devices, mechanical structure design, manufacturing tooling development (stamping, molding, assembly, plating), or manufacturing process development.
+ Knowledge in socket design, connector design, cable assembly design, or other relevant mechanic design and development, including but not limited to, material selection, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, product qualification, etc.
+ Proficient in 3D CAD applications (Creo preferred) with experience in 3D solid modeling including sheet metal, 2-D drawings, PDM link Data Manager and general knowledge in design applications such as Spaceclaim, Solidworks, or others used only in the concept stage.
+ Proficient in geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
+ Occasional user of finite element analysis software (Ansys, Workbench).
+ Proficient in developing and writing design objectives for product specifications.
+ Basic knowledge in manufacturing process (machining, molding, stamping, plating, assembly, etc.).
+ Fluent in English (both verbal and written) to facilitate global communication both internally and with external customers.
+ Ability to work in a global environment - able to accommodate varying time zones and capable of collaborating with individuals across geographies.
+ Proficient problem solver - able to handle moderate complexity situations and use data analytics and critical thinking to reach logical conclusions with general direction.
+ Proficient using MS office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, MS Teams, etc.).

+ Solid understanding of antenna theory, product, application, and the RF/antenna analysis project.
+ 8+ years of experience in antenna design with about 2 years of RF circuit design for RF related electronics.
+ Vast experience with antenna test and measurement including VNA, spectrum Analyzer, PIM testing, anechoic chamber, and active measurement (TRP/TIS).
+ Expert level proficiency with 3D EM simulation software (HFSS or CST) and RF Circuit (ADS or AWR)
+ Solid understanding of electromagnetics and antenna theory. Use the first principles approach to resolve deep technical challenges to unlock innovation.
+ Hands on experience with bench design work to validate simulations and experience with anechoic chamber testing.
+ Ability to influence mechanical engineering, I.D., product management, operations, PCB design and PJM with a data driven approach.

**Job Description**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Responsible for sustaining activities for the Antenna, RF, COAX cable and connector product lines.
- Execute critical engineering projects, including manufacturing transfers, sustaining, product extensions, cost reduction (VAVE), sustainability and rapid New Product Introduction.
- Represent engineering in customer meetings, project meetings and site visits, providing technical support and insights as needed.
- Support the complete product life cycle (Design updates, Creation of product specifications, 3D/2D modeling, Prototyping, Product testing, Product qualification, Project Execution & Sustaining till product end of life)
- Work closely with PM and other cross functions in getting the right and clear requirements to make engineering evaluation/proposal to update the design.
- Follow sustaining Project Process to support project team from PDE perspective to complete Project on time, quality and budget.
- Technical support for customers, sales, PM and plant team. Define & coordinate with test lab for necessary qualification testing, engineering analysis, trouble shooting and verification.
- Apply engineering is the best practice to reduce costs and sustain exiting products to meet customers' cost targets.
- 2D & 3D drawing creation (Creo and SolidWorks Preferred) and release as per TE standards and procedures through ECR/ECN/PCN processes.
**PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND**
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years working experience as new product development or sustaining engineering related positions including 3+ years of working experience on product development of Antenna, RF, COAX cable and connector.
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles with proven application in product development.
- This position is highly technical and requires an individual who can work independently.
- Understanding product compliance certification and qualification testing.
- Experience in design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA), design for cost (DFC), design for manufacturing (DFM)
- Demonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Proven expertise in sustaining engineering and product lifecycle support, including design enhancements, prototyping, testing, and cost/productivity improvements (VAVE).
- Understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and new product development (NPD) processes.
- Hands-on experience with modern design and analysis tools including 3D CAD, modeling, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, molding, stamping, and plating.
- Basic understanding of quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, Six Sigma, DOE, 8D, etc.

**Job Overview**
The Data and Devices Business Unit is looking for a Sr. R&D Product Development Engineer (PDE) to design and develop socket, high speed connector and cable assembly solutions which are used inside of switches, servers and storage for data communication. In this role you will be responsible for the design and documentation of new products, from market definition through production and release. You will conceive original ideas for new products/solutions and develop them into practical and economical models. You will determine specifications, perform engineering analysis, make preliminary sketches and designs, and coordinate support operations (such as fabrication engineering samples and testing). Interaction with customers, vendors, marketing and sales personnel, and other engineering areas during the pre-production stages of new products is also an important part of this role.
**Job Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for product development of socket, high-speed connector, and cable assembly solutions from market definition through production and release:
+ Work closely with the customer and TE sales/SA/FAE/PM in getting the right and clear VOC (voice of customer) and convert to a TE design conceptualization and preliminary product specification.
+ Conceive concepts and perform feasibility studies.
+ Run mechanical and thermal simulations.
+ Make the engineering evaluation/proposal to the customer.
+ Create the detailed design including 2D/3D drawings and perform DFMEA/tolerance analysis.
+ Build prototype samples and perform validation.
+ Complete product qualification and finalize product specification.
+ Provide technical support to the Operations team including Quality and Production for efficiency improvement and safe launch.
+ Resolve product related issues to closure and manage the ECN/PCN (Engineering Change Notification/ Product Change Notification).
+ Build a deep understanding of the market and customer needs by fostering a connection between the business engineering teams and the customer engineering teams
+ Maintain a system level understanding of the customer application and the product design/concept necessary for providing a solution to the customers' expectation.
+ Follow the LEANPD Project Process to support the project team from the product development engineering (PDE) perspective to complete the new product development project on time, quality and budget.
+ Drive the development and release of product, scale-up through stage-gate reviews, ensuring milestone commitments are maintained.
+ Provide technical support to customer, sales, PM and plant teams. Conduct necessary DFMEA, tests, engineering analysis, trouble shooting and verification.
+ Work with global manufacturing resources, procurement, and outside suppliers to meet all TE technical, quality, and cost objectives. Execute technical documentation to fully detail design drawings and requirements, engineering and product change notices, and design history files.
**Job Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience.
+ Generally requires 5 years of relevant mechanical engineering work experience with electrical components, electrical devices, mechanical structure design, manufacturing tooling development (stamping, molding, assembly, plating), or manufacturing process development.
+ Knowledge in socket design, connector design, cable assembly design, or other relevant mechanic design and development, including but not limited to, material selection, tolerance analysis, DFMEA, product qualification, etc.
+ Proficient in 3D CAD applications (Creo preferred) with experience in 3D solid modeling including sheet metal, 2-D drawings, PDM link Data Manager and general knowledge in design applications such as Spaceclaim, Solidworks, or others used only in the concept stage. Proficient in geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T).
+ Occasional user of finite element analysis software (Ansys, Workbench).
+ Proficient in developing and writing design objectives for product specifications. Basic knowledge in manufacturing process (machining, molding, stamping, plating, assembly, etc.).
+ Fluent in English (both verbal and written) to facilitate global communication both internally and with external customers.
+ Ability to work in a global environment - able to accommodate varying time zones and capable of collaborating with individuals across geographies.
+ Proficient problem solver - able to handle moderate complexity situations and use data analytics and critical thinking to reach logical conclusions with general direction.
+ Proficient using MS office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, MS Teams, etc.).
Nice To Have Skills/Experience:
+ Master's degree in engineering or related field.
+ Familiarity of switch and or server equipment.
+ Basic knowledge in raw material, industry standards, and product application.

As a Staff Development Engineer, you will help enable our customers to flourish in the server/networking equipment market. Product Development Engineers are highly engaged, foundational members of the product launch team and support product introduction from concept through to production. Development Engineers work directly with Hyperscalers and OEMs to determine specifications and generate solutions while collaborating with internal resources such as manufacturing/quality divisions. This position will be based in Singapore and will work with colleagues in cross functional team.
**Job Responsibilities**
Connector research and development. More specifically:
+ Technical communication with customers and frontend team to confirm/understand their applications and technical requirements
+ Translate requirements into engineering specification and provide solutions with new product designs on time
+ Responsible for design concept making, mechanical analysis, building 3D models and 2D drawings, GD&T, part list/BOM, DFMEA, product specifications, application specifications, etc.
+ Lead the design review for compliance with engineering principles, product standards, customer contract requirements
+ Lead design review with cross functional teams to confirm the manufacturing feasibility and product quality
+ Leads EV/DV/PV tests to validate product designs
+ Responsible for FAI review, co-working with project team and providing on-site support at manufacturing site for product ramp-up on time
**Job Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree majored in mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, physics, etc.
+ More than 8 years mechanical design experience, connector-related is preferred, independent new product development is a plus
+ Knowledge of connector fundamentals, capable of connector component design, preferred that knowledge of high-speed connector applications.
+ Familiar with GD&T, tolerance analysis, mechanics of plastic/metal materials and basic knowledge in injection molding, stamping and assembly
+ Skilled in at least one 3D Software: Creo, Pro/E, Catia, UG or SolidWorks. Skilled of office software such as Word, Excel, PPT
+ In-depth knowledge and experience of CAE for mechanical/structural simulations

**About the role:**
As a CBRE HR Operations - Employee Life Cycle (APAC) you will act as the subject matter expert on processes and procedures focused either on a country or workstream level. Provides next level support in terms of more complex cases and HR services but may also support simple cases during spikes. Supports escalations and provides resolutions on key areas of concern.
This job is part of the Human Resource Operation team, which is responsible for end-to-end Employee Life Cycle (ELC) processes across APAC countries.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Supports volume in terms of sorting, processing and responding to employee and people team inquiries related to employee life cycle that may be more complex in terms of compensation and benefits, employee services, competency & performance and payroll via ticketing system (Service Now), email, chat or phone.
+ Validates and audits employee data in Peoplesoft. Perform corrections and update on employee data as necessary.
+ Updates employee movements including onboarding and offboarding (e.g. hiring, transfer, promotion, termination, resignation) and personal data changes accurately.
+ Support in creation of employee documentation as per defined processes and requests.
+ Maintain employee (e.g. leave of absence) data in the system such as leave data administration, return to work, leave extension and cancelation administration.
+ Maintain compensation and benefits data in the system (salary data changes, employee bonus data, off-cycle salary increment etc.).
+ Perform administration on all documentations including, but not limited to, policies, summary plan description, invoices, contracts, Personnel File, and other compliance documentations. Generate letters using build in templates in the system.
+ Monitors and reviews Service Now tickets that may be at risk or have been ageing. Identifies and derives resolutions.
+ Performs random audit and quality checks on tasks and cases completion.
+ Handle escalations, non-standard or exception requests/issues for approval in a timely manner regarding People related matters to the Immediate supervisor.
+ Act as Subject Matter Experts on more complex or country specific processes.
+ Performs a review on existing processes and updates them to ensure they remain relevant.
+ Looks at process improvement and automation opportunities to help drive better efficiencies.
+ Performs root cause analysis and investigation on identified issues, escalations and problematic cases.
+ Supports audit activities in partnership with in-country counterparts for People related services supported by PSC.
+ Supports systems enhancements through testing, training and implementation with the team.
**What You'll need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, Organizational Development, Service Management or relevant field.
+ Years of experience in processing HR transactional tasks, including but not limited to Employee pre-boarding/off-boarding, Benefit Administration, Employee Data Management, Payroll, HR reporting or other HR general operations.
+ Have prior shared service experience supporting Asia Pacific region or multiple countries with subject matter expertise on processes/services or has been in a support function.
