  • Independent selection, implementation and configuration of suitable (machine learning / semantic) models and procedures, also on the basis of scientific literature.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a related field is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or any other technology related field.

  • Strong experience and knowledge of data processing, data modeling, algorithms, and data architecture
  • Experience leading a technical project in a business context

Role summary

Working in the World-Check Risk Screening product , the Research Analyst is required to maintain accurate information currency to support the growth of LSEG Risk Intelligence business across the region. You will conduct in-depth research on breaking news in China regarding specific Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) related issues. We focus on maintaining an extensive list of China Politically exposed persons (PEP), State owned & invested enterprises (SOE/SIE), Sanctions ownership information, etc.Daily, you will research and extract data from extensive sources from public domain in China, in Mandarin language, ensure accuracy and quality of findings by aligning with policies and applicable laws.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide China content support to clients on daily basis and work closely with China team members to support China related ad-hoc projects.
  • Work independently in handling individual assignment and tasks.
  • Strong adherence to China and General research guidelines following strict requirements to ensure product content and quality.


You'll bring:
  • Full professional language proficiency in Mandarin and as job involves conducting research in this language on a daily basis.
  • Good English comprehension and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills especially with excellent attention to details and critical thinking to analyse and resolve research related issues.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Good domain knowledge of Chinese naming conventions including characteristics of personal names, salutations and titles.
  • Strong curiosity about the knowledge of China political structure and governance at all levels, Chinese sanctions, law enforcement and regulatory enforcement bodies and relevant national laws concerning the AML/CFT regime in China, is an advantage
  • Good understanding of the prevalent financial crimes in China based on guidance and reports from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), the Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG), and other relevant sources.
  • Exhibit excellent professionalism - self-motivated, can-do attitude, innovative thinking, strive for efficiency.
Education Qualification/Certifications

  • As Subject Matter Expert in assigned QC systems/processes/equipment to oversee the implementation and management of systems/processes.
  • Owns QC related polices and procedure of the assigned QC processes which include product testing, materials testing, environmental monitoring, method development/qualification/validation, lab investigations, stability testing, LIMS, lab equipment qualification and/or calibration.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned activities which include testing, method development/qualification/validation, equipment qualification or computer systems validation as per agreed lead-time/milestones.
  • Initiates/Reviews/approves procedures, documents, records, deviations, investigations, corrective action/preventive actions, changes controls and gaps assessment associated with the QC area(s) assigned.
  • Ensure QC personnel are qualified and trained to perform assigned tasks.
  • Support product/materials testing, methods qualification/validation activities, equipment qualification activities or other QC related activities as an executor, reviewer and/or approver.
  • Ensure products are tested and assessed per applicable current GxP and regulations.
  • Ensures that facilities, equipment, materials, processes and procedures that are applicable to QC comply to applicable, current GxP and regulations.
  • Manage performance and development of direct reports to ensure achievement of organizational goals.
  • Supports improvement initiatives, programs and projects driven from the Quality Management System.
  • Escalates quality and compliance risks to QC and QA Management.

Note: Other responsibilities may be assigned by Head of Quality, or senior management

Requirements

  • Bachelor or higher, in Science, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, or equivalent, with preference of more than 6 years of relevant work experience in Quality Assurance Lead role in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology/medical device/healthcare industry, preferable with increasing people management responsibilities.
  • Extensive knowledge in Quality Management System concepts
  • Extensive knowledge in regulations and industrial guidance especially for stem cell / cell and gene therapy
  • Excellent communication and able to engage stakeholders effectively from different functional units
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skill are of advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with Data Scientists and business partners to architect, drive design, implement diagnostic & predictive analytics solutions with Python, Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Developing and maintaining advanced analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions.
• Build custom quantitative models by applying advanced statistical methods (e.g., causal and predictive modeling, forecasting, data mining, simulation, and/or optimization)
• Interpret results of quantitative models, identify trends and issues, and develop alternatives to support business objectives.
• Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and determine need for reformulation.
• Perform software validation and/or testing requirements and activities

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field Required
• 4 + years of experience in data science, software development, tool development, database design, analytics and dashboard creation, related work Required
• Experience working in a medical device and/or regulated industry Preferred
• Experience working in/for Supply Chain and/or Quality functions Preferred

Skills and Qualification:
• Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and managing Python, Power BI and/or Tableau driven dashboards & analytics and working knowledge of administration/architecture.
• Good exposure to Data Warehousing system like Snowflake, Teradata, or Redshift.
• Experience in documenting data flows, business processes, power point presentations
• Solid knowledge and understanding with BI, reporting, data mining, or multi-data center applications
