Purpose of the post

The Research Assistant (RA) will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator and study team members to ensure the successful completion of the ongoing project “Unraveled the mechanism of selective targeting mutant KRAS driven pancreatic cancer” on time. The RA’s principal role will be to work with mentor to complete the manuscript for publication.

Main duties and responsibilities

The Research Assistant will liaise with the senior lab members of the lab with following things:

1. Help to do the experiments to complete the project and write the manuscript;
2. Help in general lab management;
3. Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures;
4. Assist with any other duties of a similar nature that are delegated by the PI.

1. Have a first degree with good results or holds a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Life Science
2. be able to work independently and in a team, have an investigative nature, attention to detail;
3. have knowledge of computer applications, e.g. SPSS, MS office, PowerPoint;
4. have experiences in research

In 2023, Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) has appointed the Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) in Duke-NUS Medical School to set up and lead the new Standards Development Organisation (SDO) supporting the Biomedical and Health Standards Committee. CoRE-SDO is hiring a Research Assistant (Senior) to provide technical and operational support in the Precision Medicine domain.

The job responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

• Identify emerging domains in Precision Medicine for standard development in line with the goals of the Singapore Standard Council.
• Conduct research and analysis of the international standardisation landscape in Precision Medicine.
• Convene and coordinate focus groups or working groups comprising domain experts to identify standardisation gaps.
• Contribute to the development and promotion of national and international standards in collaboration with industry stakeholders.
• Review existing standards with industry partners to ensure continued accuracy, relevance, and alignment with local needs.
• Drive stakeholder engagement to facilitate the adoption and implementation of standards, including planning and managing events such as launches, workshops, and conferences.
• Provide administrative and operational support to technical committees and working groups.
• Support Singapore’s participation in international standardisation activities, including global meetings, study missions, and working groups.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support SDO operations and other related duties incidental to the work described therein.

Job Requirements

• Master’s Degree or equivalent in Precision Medicine, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences/Biomedical Sciences.
• Strong knowledge of molecular biology, genomics, bioinformatics, and relevant clinical applications.
• Prior experience in project management, planning, and coordination would be advantageous.
• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to present findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Job Requirements

• Applicants without academic research experience: At least 3 years of work experience in non-research sector thatdemonstrates candidate’s interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in a team, manage projects, analysedata, write reports and communicate effectively.
• Applicants with academic research experience: At least 1 year of qualitative research experience (e.g., participatoryaction research, ethnographic research, evaluation research, culture-centred approach) which demonstrates candidate’sability to work with a qualitative research team, and conduct fieldwork in local settings with people from different walks of life.
• Demonstrate strong interest and inclination to interact and engage with older persons in the community, and bilingual inboth English and non-English languages (e.g. Mandarin, Chinese Dialects, Malay, Tamil, etc)
• Demonstrate ethical consideration, sensitivity and competency in working with older adults and/or vulnerablepopulations.
• Demonstrate an understanding of local ageing, policy and/or health contexts.
• Interest in conducting both evaluation and exploratory research that impact policies and programmes relevant topopulation ageing.

The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT), National University of Singapore is looking for researchers and engineers to develop next generation quantum computers based on trapped ions. There are multiple positions available at different levels with a diverse set of expertise. This program is funded under the National Quantum Processor Initiative, a flagship program under the National Quantum Office Singapore. The aim of the program is to develop a full stack quantum processor based on Yb-Ba ions. This program brings together the unique capabilities of the existing ion trap groups in CQT expertizing on these two-ion species to explore scalability of the system.

We are looking for several software engineers to join the small team of scientists and engineers working on the next generation of the ion trap quantum processor. The ideal candidate should have:

• A Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, electrical engineering, physics or related areas;
• At least 1-2 years of experience in software development in the R&D environment is preferred;
• Hands- on experience in one of the following areas and desire to cross the boundaries and learn new things
• Embedded software development for the FPGA / CPU SoC systems (for example, Zynq 7000, Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC, Altera Cyclone SoC);
• Good knowledge of C/C++ and familiarity with Verilog/VHDL HDL and communication between FPGA and CPU cores.
• The experiment control and automation of routine experimental tasks.
• Experience with Python programming in the experimental lab environment and for scientific applications. Familiarity with the quantum toolboxes such as Qiskit or QIBO and ability to integrate them into the experimental control system is a plus.

The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of the development cycle: collaborate with team members to define technical requirements, design, test and integrate the software into the final product.

We are inviting applications for a Research Assistant to support ongoing research in the area of cell mechanics and mechanobiology in research group of Prof. Lim Chwee Teck. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to investigate how mechanical forces influence cellular behavior, with applications in cancer biology, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine. The selected candidate's key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the design and execution of experiments related to cellular biomechanics, including traction force microscopy, micropatterning, and live-cell imaging
• Supporting day-to-day lab operations, including equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, and inventory management
