- Set up automated data acquisition and data extraction.
- Develop tools to verify data integrity.

- BSc/MSC/Ph.D Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, or Engineering.

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Science Analyst with expert-level Power BI skills and a strong foundation in data analysis, documentation, and communication. Key Responsibilities
Analysis & Insights
- Apply statistical techniques and data mining methods to large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations.
- Clean, transform, and validate data for analysis and reporting, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs, business rules, and success metrics for various use cases (e.g., churn, campaign performance).
- Design and execute data validation and quality control checks across multiple pipelines.
Power BI & Visualization (Expert Level)
- Build visually intuitive, interactive, and performance-optimized Power BI dashboards to support business and client needs.
- Ensure visualizations are easily understood by non-technical users across markets and functions.
- Leverage advanced features like DAX, row-level security, bookmarks, drill-through, and paginated reports to meet business needs.
- Work closely with engineering and campaign teams to embed insights into real-time reporting solutions.
Documentation & Communication
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications (FSDs), use cases, and process flow diagrams.
- Translate complex requirements into technical tasks in collaboration with the development team.
- Document analysis outcomes and present clear narratives for internal stakeholders and client partners.
- Support the full data science lifecycle: from defining the business problem, data collection, exploration, modeling, validation, and solution delivery.
- Contribute to proof-of-concepts involving Generative AI, NLP, personalization, or best-next-action models (experience is a plus, not mandatory).
- Engage in agile ceremonies and maintain documentation and collaboration via Jira and Confluence.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience building advanced Power BI dashboards.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and handling large relational datasets.
- Demonstrated experience writing BRDs, FSDs, process flows, and structured documentation.
- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of statistical techniques and data mining methods.
- Ability to independently manage tasks while working cross-functionally with tech, campaign, and business teams.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
Preferred / Nice to Have:
- Working knowledge of Python or R for analysis and modeling.
- Familiarity with Azure, Databricks, and cloud-based data tools.

Essential Functions: • Conduct basic data review. • Write & Resolve data clarifications with guidance from senior staff. • Conduct basic quality control procedures. • Plan and coordinate database design, development, implementation, maintenance, and user support of clinical systems with guidance from senior staff. • Program, test, and document databases in accordance with programming standards and validation procedures with guidance from senior staff. • Program database manipulation and transfers of data for internal and external clients with guidance from senior staff. • Perform and plan: (i) the programming, testing, and documentation of programs for use in creating statistical tables and listing summaries, (ii) the programming of analysis databases (derived datasets) and transfers of data for internal and external clients and (iii) the programming of database quality control checks. • May program the integration of databases from multiple studies or sources, under supervision. • Develop programming documentation including specifications, as appropriate, under supervision. • Provide advanced technical expertise in conjunction with internal and external clients, and bring project solutions to teams and department, under supervision. • Develop, implement and validate new process technologies, macros and applications under supervision. • Understand basic database structures. • Meet personal project objectives, as assigned by manager. • Meet objectives as assigned and interact with the project team to organize timelines, responsibilities and deliverables. • Escalate problems to the attention of the Data Science Project Lead or Manager. • Understand and comply with core operating procedures and working instructions. • Understand, provide input to and comply with all applicable sections of Project Plan & Specification. • Develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with Data Science team. You will be part of a team of embedded experts and deliver projects using sophisticated data science methods to understand connect people experience and business outcomes and objectives.

What You Will Deliver Advanced Analytics and Research: Design and implement advanced people analytics projects to address stakeholder questions and hypotheses. Apply strong statistical and machine learning techniques to derive actionable insights that drive business outcomes. Develop predictive models and leverage machine learning capabilities for deeper data analysis.
Collaboration and Business Impact: Demonstrate strong business and commercial acumen with an understanding of bp’s people agenda and broader strategy. Manage and influence stakeholder relationships, effectively communicating findings through compelling storytelling.

What You Will Need To Be Successful Minimum of 4 years’ experience within established organizations. Strong expertise in statistics and analytics Proficiency in data science tools and platforms (e.g. Python, SQL, Databricks, PyTorch, Microsoft Fabric etc). Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP etc) Proficiency in NLP methodologies and modeling such as sentiment analysis, topic modeling, text classification etc. Experience working with NLP libraries and frameworks (e.g. SpaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face etc) Demonstrated ability to develop and document procedures, workflows, and best practices. Experience in data quality control, validation, and linkage, with a clear understanding of data protection principles. Strong skills in data visualization and the ability to produce clear graphical representations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to tell compelling stories through data. Experience delivering results within company-wide, metrics-driven programs in global organizations.
