Teachers have the overall responsibility to prepare students for, most importantly, the real world and more immediately, the Cambridge IGCSE examination.
Core Roles and Responsibilities
- Deliver content and facilitate coursework, discussions, and activities according to ACE EdVenture’s pedagogy and standards
- Contact students’ parents regularly to update them on their children’s progress in the real world, academic and behavioural aspects whether positive or negative, especially positive
- Attend mandatory team meetings such as Termly Tactics to stay updated on the school’s growth and evolution and convey relevant updates to students
- Work with Academic teams to update and upgrade curricula based on purpose and principles in the ACE DNA
- Set internal exam papers and deliver them in a timely manner for sufficient time to vet and print
- Prepare students’ report cards in a timely manner for sufficient time to vet and print
- Be ready to aid Heads in the preparation of materials needed in the classroom or for student progress and wellbeing
- Document student work/progress for tracking purposes
- Encourage and instil self-discipline in students
- Speak English at all times and ensure students do the same except during non-English language classes
- Handle emergencies and crises in the classroom
- Communicate information to leaders that could jeopardise a student’s/student safety or wellbeing with the utmost appropriation
- Collaborate with other teachers to address classroom or student-specific issues
- Adhere to company policies that are put in place to protect and serve all stakeholders within ACE EdVenture
- Replace other teachers’ classes when called on, the exceptions being:
- The teacher needs to assist to replicate the lesson in his/her own class
- The teacher must be in the class to mentor the main teacher
- Enforce, document and execute mentoring sessions and growth measures for mentees
- Ensure replication of and improvements in ACE Pedagogy by ensuring that mentees obtain the ACE standard of skills, understanding and know how.
- Communicate and collaborate with Heads, Training, and HR to track progress and grow mentees.

- External experience in the corporate world in any other field

Skills, Qualification And Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in education is a prerequisite.
- You must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Demonstrate a deep passion for teaching and learning, along with a familiarity with effective instructional strategies in the classroom.
- Show an aptitude for positively managing student behavior.
- Be willing to invest time and effort in continuous self-improvement.

Interviews
Initial interviews will be completed Face to Face whenever possible.

Candidates are invited to send in a letter of application including the reasons for applying to Tenby Schools together with a comprehensive CV, a recent passport-size photograph and contact details of three referees (one of which must be from your current school)
