System Analyst Our client, a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America, is looking for consultants to be part of the project.

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.

The selected resource will be working in a newly set-up technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities:

Gather and analyse business requirements for automation opportunities across various domains.

Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including BRD (Business Requirement Document), PDD (Process Design Document), and FSD (Functional Specification Document).

Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for RPA development teams.

Collaborate closely with RPA Developers, Business Users, and Project Managers to ensure successful delivery of automation solutions.

Evaluate automation feasibility and identify process improvements.

Support development and testing phases by validating use cases, reviewing scripts, and ensuring alignment with business goals.

Work within Windows Server and SQL Server environments, supporting RPA workflows and reporting needs.

  • Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for optimization.
  • Recommend system enhancements or workflow changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support data analysis efforts and generate reports to provide insights into business performance.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across systems.
  • Serves as escalation point for troubleshooting issues and coordinates with other Business Analysts and technical personnel for their resolution.
  • Conduct end-user training when necessary.
  • Prepare and keep system and project documentation up to date.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems/computer science or equivalent
  • 6-8 years of experience
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to measure and improve existing processes and procedures.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and able to perform in a team base environment with positive working attitude.
