The Product Procurement Manager is responsible for proactively managingassigned NPI and LX projects/products, ensuringProcurement engagementfrom early concept phase to End of Life (EOL).

As a Product Procurement Manager, you will:

Ensure Procurement milestone deliverables and KPI’s are proactively managed, tracked and met to support new product introduction (NPI), for SOP and launch of all main SLU’s/markets.

Report Procurement project status to Operations and senior stakeholders.

Identify, mitigate and report Procurement risks for assigned projects.

Develop and manage project sourcing plans, including dual sourcing plans and dual sourcing business cases with cross-functional input and alignment.

Product Procurement Manager is responsible to drive product cost in the whole life cycle.

Manage and report bought-out component/material pricing, cost opportunities and cost risks monthly, or whenever there is a change or up issue in specification / drawing revision during NPI. Collaborate with RDD and GCM driving cost opportunity meeting DDU cost target.

Create and maintain the project dual sourcing business case and manage the implementation of the project dual sourcing plans with RDD/BU, to ensure dual sourcing delivers the return on investment and creates supply chain resilience.

Drive product material delivery on time and in full (OTIF) to ensure products are clear to build from a procurement perspective and supportmanufacturing build plans, whilst avoiding and minimizing any material/component exposure.

Contribute to on-going continuous improvement activities, identifying improvement activity and process improvements.


About you

Degree level/CIPS qualification or equivalent.

Procurement Project Management experience within NPI in a manufacturing and engineering environment.

Commodity management / sourcing experience or an awareness of new supplier assessment and supplier selection processes

Knowledge of costed bills of materials (BOMs)and business cases

Strong commercial background and experience of managing and driving Direct Procurement cost avoidance and cost reduction activities.

  • Act as the primary liaison with the China Procurement Team, ensuring alignment on product knowledge, sourcing strategies, and procurement activities.
  • Strengthen cross-border collaboration with country partners to support seamless regional operations.
  • Supervise and support the Purchasing Department and team members in audit compliance, SOPs, logistics planning, and travel coordination.
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to enhance procurement efficiency and value creation.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse, logistics, and other key departments to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement execution.
  • Ensure all procurement documentation, reporting, and filing systems are accurate, organized, and compliant with internal standards.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to enhance departmental performance.
  • Perform other related duties and special assignments as delegated by senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with procurement systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Willing to work at HQ (Seri Kembangan, Selangor) and travel as needed.

About The Role

  • Defines and drives equipment OPEX reduction strategic and tactical approaches
  • Formulate negotiation strategies with related vendors and suppliers to secure best pricing for selected equipment and services.
  • Analyze the full cost structure of each piece of equipment, including direct, indirect, and hidden costs
  • Develop cost models for equipment categories and provide insights to assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Initiates and drives cross-functional and process improvements and cost management activities consistent with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external networks involving coordination among various groups & stakeholders.
  • Partners with functional and/or cross functional leadership to influence priorities and objectives to ensure supply reliability, best total cost, on time delivery, minimum risk and best quality
  • Utilizes leadership and negotiation skills to influence outcomes with internal stakeholders and/or external customers and suppliers.
  • Leads complex, strategic and business critical projects or initiatives.


About you

  • Minimum 5 yrs engineering experience; ideally with 2 years of experience in cost related coverage or 3 years of experience in equipment procurement role (OPEX). SAP/ Ariba knowledge is a plus.
  • This role performs activities related to the sourcing of Capital Equipment and services, in support of Dyson manufacturing plan. (OPEX)
  • The ideal candidate will thrive working autonomously while demonstrating a meticulous approach to cost breakdowns and supplier negotiations to drive bottom-line reduction. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions that support our operational and financial goals.
  • To coordinate sourcing projects, ensure completion to meet project/business needs.
  • Reviews purchase requests for completeness and compliance with company requirements.
  • Approves purchases of authorized amounts or size.
  • Maintains and updates purchasing orders, systems, and documentation. Monitors the cost, schedule and performance metrics of contracts and subcontracts.
  • Works on other projects and/or assignments as needed.
