The opportunity

This is an individual contributor role to support the Asean Service Line Leader in running an efficient business together with Finance & Talent. This role is responsible for closely monitoring key performance indicators to achieve strategic priorities and driving improvement initiatives with strong collaboration with other teams and leaders to drive the execution of strategic priorities. You play an active role in collaborating and managing relationships with key stakeholders in Asean and outside the region.

Your key responsibilities

Leadership insights

  • With a strong understanding of the Asean strategy and goals, work with the Asean leadership team to execute the strategy. The ability to break a strategy down into achievable activities and deliverables will be important, as will teamwork, communication and driving outcomes.
  • Prepare leadership insights and analysis from systems and reports on business performance for senior leadership within and beyond Asean.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams across finance, markets, BD and other operations teams to prepare a consolidated view of business performance results to enable identification of areas for improvement and drive activity to deliver improved metrics.

Reporting & Training

  • Closely monitor key performance indicators and provide the leaders with timely advice on business performance, relying on reports generated from the finance and markets organizations.
  • Together with Region Markets Finance, provide insights to the Asean Service Line Leader on sales and pipeline to help identify opportunities or gaps in the market and forecast the strength of demand, which has implications for future headcount needs and other commercial decisions.
  • Provide training on systems to new hires/promotes.
  • Provide support on any other reporting needs.

End-to-end planning for leadership meetings

  • This may include monthly leadership meetings, strategy meetings, symposiums, forums, webinars, review meetings with global leadership which may be held in-person or virtually by working closely with various teams (events management, branding, facilities management) to achieve a successful outcome.
  • These activities may include the full scope from agenda planning, coordinating rehearsals, preparing content and collating presentation decks, follow-up action items, on-the-ground support (as needed), meeting/logistics preparation, working with other teams on technical set-up, promotions and post-event management, etc.

Monitoring and Tracking of KPIs

  • Lead/Participate in various workstreams with the main aim to work towards enabling each Market to achieve the strategic priorities for Asean Service Line. This may include monthly reviews of KPIs together with Markets and Finance – providing the data analysis, identifying the gaps to improve, working closely with Service Line Transformation Leaders to improve the metrics.
  • Driving Sales & Pipeline management improvements by providing regular updates on data analysis, gap analysis and metrics outcome
  • Conduct training on systems to teams as needed.

Annual Revenue Planning

  • Support the annual revenue planning process, working closely with Area and Regional Operations and Finance teams to follow-up with each Market Service Line leaders and Region Sub-Service Line leaders.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong project management experience (preferably in a Professional Services Consulting firm)
  • Analytical skills with some financial literacy and the ability to interpret results and provide advice on performance. In addition, the ability to forecast and project areas that the leaders need to focus on.
  • Strong in excel, data analysis and savvy with PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with event planning for strategic business discussions
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple agendas; meet demanding time frames and tight deadlines. Ability to manage projects from start to finish.
  • Enjoys collaborating with different teams and have strong relationship building skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
  • The ability to stay calm and focused under high levels of pressure and the agility to quickly adapt to changes.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • At least 7 years’ experience in a professional services related role
  • Understanding of Asean cultures, desirable.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

Role & Responsibilities:

The Sr. Manager, Accounting Services Center Operations (Malaysia), will be the local lead presence of the Accounting Services operations in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for the day-to-day management of the accounting team (25+ people) in driving for sustainable and standardization of operations in compliance with policies and procedures, the optimization of resources, and migration of activities in connection with stakeholders. The role will also be responsible for the New Zealand & Australia market controllership activities and serve as the accounting principle lead for the team.

Key Result Areas:

  • Responsible for setting the direction, establishing strategies, goals and objectives for the Controllership team in the Kuala Lumpur center

  • Lead and implement accounting practices and procedures in the New Zealand & Australia markets and bring accounting expertise across all areas of team activities

  • Assess and develop plan on the optimal organizational design, processes and procedures to achieve objectives in connection with the Shared Services Center - Dalian

  • Identify and develop talents for building sustainable operations teams in RTR, PTP, OTC and other accounting related workstreams

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding Service Level Agreements and KPIs

  • Together with the Shared Services Center - Dalian, build and execute Business Continuity Plan in ensuring no disruption to the core activities

Experience

  • Minimum Relevant Experience: 7+ years in multi-national company environment or accounting firm, with proven records in shared services center operations in a team leader/management role to build sustainable talents pool and/or similar experience in an advisory role

  • Minimum Supervisory Experience: 3+ years

  • Experience to lead team of 10+ Nature of Work: Six Sigma, LEAN, Process Reengineering, Performance Measurement, Talent Development, Financial Controller, Compliance and Auditing

Academic Qualifications

  • Minimum Degree Held: Bachelor’s degree

Job Overview:

The Principal Subsea Engineer is responsible for interpreting internal or external business issues and recommending best practices. They will be tasked with solving complex Subsea-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Subsea Engineer may lead functional teams or projects and is regarded as a specialist in Subsea. As such, they must have in-depth expertise in Subsea as well as broad knowledge of the Subsea discipline within the Engineering function.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Support subsea and offshore projects in performing design and installation engineering/analysis in a lead role and address various requirements for procurement

  • Provide specialist skills and knowledge in the areas related to engineering and analysis including design codes related to subsea engineering and installation engineering

  • Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design as per design basis, project specifications, design codes, and standards

  • Apply in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and nonstandard situations

  • Coordinate and engage in daily activities and schedule priorities for subsea engineering under limited supervision

  • Tender engineering support with an emphasis on document review, preparation of subcontractor documents, CTR preparation, bid evaluation, and vendor selection

  • Assume responsibility for technical reports, design calculations, engineering analysis, and interface with third parties including subcontractors and verification bodies

  • Required to attend and prepare for project progress meetings and departmental meetings

  • Manage own time to meet objectives and (as Lead Engineer) forecast and plan resource requirements

  • When acting as Lead Engineer, in addition:

  • Direct small or medium-sized Engineering teams as a Lead Engineer

  • Lead the Discipline engineering design of the assigned work area and complete it within the planned schedule and budget, in accordance with standards, MDR, and project-specific procedures and to a high professional standard

  • Plan, organize, and direct all aspects of Discipline execution on the assigned project including scope, deliverables, schedule, and all manpower resources- agree allocations with the Discipline Manager

  • Ensure interfaces and deliverables are clearly identified

  • Maintain responsibility for progress and productivity, identifying any required corrective action

  • Act as project representative for the Discipline during meetings with the Project Team, Customer discipline lead, and relevant agencies such as certifying authorities, auditors, third parties, etc.

  • Adhere to the safety and legal objectives of the company

  • Train and mentor graduates and junior engineers

  • Perform Installation Analysis for rigid pipelines and risers including CLAD and Lined pipelines from reel-lay and S-lay vessels

  • Perform Installation Analysis for flexible flowlines, flexible risers of various configurations, umbilicals (static and dynamic) and subsea structures

  • Prepare Installation Analysis models using industry-standard packages and post-process analysis results applying design criteria from industry codes and client specifications

  • Support in the development of knowledge in the area of design and installation analysis related to subsea and offshore engineering

  • Review and (as Lead Engineer) approve third-party reports related to Installation Engineering and Analysis

  • Understand client requirements and develop solutions to address them, satisfying necessary codes and specifications

  • Take personal responsibility for design, analyses, and technical documentation

  • Liaise with operational teams to support project engineering and be available for site visits and offshore trips when necessary

  • Become fully familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements; including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address the issues Interpret contractual requirements as they relate to engineering execution

  • Identify changes to scope and promptly raise change notifications, including providing any necessary supporting documentation and estimates Provide similar support for Variation Orders

  • Interface with other departments to obtain input for Discipline designs and drawings

  • Maintain close coordination with other engineering disciplines, Planning, Fabrication, Marine, and Project Management Teams, as required

  • Document substantive communications (communications that result in significant decisions or assignment of actions) and forward copies to Discipline Lead Engineer and Discipline Manager

  • Prepare estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews, execution statements, and manhour estimates, identifying software requirements and any other project-specific requirements

  • Raise technical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope, and maintain preferred McDermott procedures, specifications, standards, practices, and operational requirements

  • Prepare, review, and (as Lead Engineer) approve Discipline engineering design basis, philosophies, and technical specifications

  • Participate in finalizing deliverables lists and deliverables, ensuring compliance with specifications and functional integrity

  • Review project schedule and fabrication schedule in relation to construction sequence, milestones, and engineering scope

  • Attend project kickoff and review meetings, vendor meetings, engineering meetings, and offshore site surveys, as required

  • Provide technical direction and review of Designers producing products related to Subsea Engineering

  • Prepare, review, and (as Lead Engineer) approve design reports and procedures

  • Assist in providing necessary design inputs to other disciplines to enable them to proceed with their deliverables

  • Assist procurement personnel in procuring Discipline equipment, materials, and services; ensuring that work produced complies with Customer objectives and procedures Procurement assistance includes preparing, reviewing, and (as Lead Engineer) approving requisitions, evaluating technical quotations, and preparing queries, compiling bid tabulations and recommendations, preparing purchase requisitions, and coordinating with Procurement to expedite vendor documents, as directed by Discipline Lead Engineer

  • Review and (as Lead Engineer) approve vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessary

  • Review and (as Lead Engineer) approve design verification through single-discipline check I interdisciplinary check (IDC)

  • Provide technical support to fabrication queries, including identifying defect and rectification requirements

  • Keep the Discipline Manager and Project Management Team apprised of all activities and concerns, technical, budgetary and manpower related

  • Assist in providing inputs for actual, planning, and forecasting progress reports including associated productivity

  • Check final subcontractor and vendor data manuals to ensure that all requested data has been received and approved

  • Present issues and problems to Customers in a timely manner and assist the Lead Engineer in negotiating resolution in accordance with project and company requirements

  • Perform (as required) Technical Quality Audit reviews in accordance with MDR Global Procedures

  • Assist Lead Engineer with responses to Customer and other agencies (such as certifying authorities, auditors, third parties, etc.) on their review and approval

  • Capture lessons learned and enter into MDR's Lessons Learned system

  • Capture Knowledge Objects and enter into MDR's system

  • Guide less experienced engineers on MDR and Discipline procedures, standards, worksheets, design calculations, software, requisitions, technical bid evaluations, technical queries, etc.

  • Supervise and guide assigned engineers and coordinate with project Lead Designers for Discipline engineering and design deliverables

  • Responsible for the engineering integrity of the assigned work area

  • Monitor costs of own work processes

  • Assist in the maintenance of departmental technical guidelines and standard calculation notes

  • Participate in development and maintenance of Global Procedures, Software, and Standards

  • May participate in standards development committees or task groups such as DNV and API

  • Develop communication and presentation skills (e.g., write technical papers, participate in conferences and/or seminars, present design solutions, and/or present topics at "lunch and learns"; etc.)

  • Identify and provide training to staff in specific techniques and proprietary software

  • Provide information on employee performance to the Discipline Manager

  • Assist the Discipline manager in interviewing job applicants

  • Review and (as a Lead Engineer) approve drawings and design reports ensuring technical correctness, professional presentation, and satisfaction of fabrication/installation requirements

  • Participate in Constructability Review meetings and offshore visits as required to support offshore installation

  • When acting as Lead Engineer, in addition:

  • Act as project-based Discipline point of contact in communications and meetings with Customer counterparts

  • Ensure substantive communications are documented

  • Prepare bids and project's Discipline engineering budget and execution plans, updating as required

  • Identify project staff needs based on knowledge of individual engineers' skill sets and provide requests to the Discipline manager

  • Plan, organize, and assign tasks, responsibilities, and manhour budgets to the discipline team, and verify tasks are completed within budgets

  • Plan Discipline Level 4 detail deliverable schedule/ register compliant with the overall execution plan

  • Prepare working forecasts identifying change management plans, corrective action, and realtime schedule

  • Provide Discipline inputs for actual, planning, and forecasting progress reports including associated productivity

  • Alert the project team of any deviation from the scope or a need for a change order

  • Monitor KPI measurement results, and take corrective action as necessary to improve

  • Discipline performance, including performance at interfaces with others

  • Coordinate with other Discipline Lead Engineers and Designers to ensure timely receipt of necessary design inputs

  • Review and approve requisitions, technical quotation evaluations and queries, compiled bid tabulations and recommendations, and purchase requisitions; and coordinate with Procurement to expedite vendor documents as required

  • Lead the Discipline team during project audits (internal, Customer, and third-party technical audits) and Design Reviews

  • Review comments from Customers and other agencies on documents and drawings produced by the team, and resolve and give guidance on their update and incorporation

  • Assist the Discipline manager in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and manpower planning

  • Anticipate project engineering needs and plan accordingly

  • Coordinate with vendor for discipline-managed/procured items

  • Assist the Discipline manager and Project Engineering Manager or Project Manager in the Performance Evaluation of project team members

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Minimum 10-15 years of industry experience related to SURF

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Engineering

  • Familiar with the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines as applicable

  • Knowledge of many basic design techniques and analysis methods

  • Experience related to installation engineering and analyses for subsea infrastructure including rigid pipelines, flexible flowlines, risers, and subsea structures

  • Experience with industry-standard software packages for analysis (E.g., Orcaflex, MCS Pipelay, Abaqus)

  • Experience with industry-commonly used codes and standards for subsea installation engineering and analysis

  • Good organization and communication skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet project deadlines

  4. Demonstrated deep knowledge of IT operations within a data center environment.
  5. Functional knowledge of cloud technologies and architectures, as well as IT service delivery principles and best practices.

  7. Familiarity with data center construction procedures is a plus.
  8. The ability to travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 50% or more at times.

In this role, you’re expected to:

The Transaction Capture Senior Manager is a senior management level position responsible for service delivery to clients across core Transfer Agency activities and managing multiple operational teams locally while reporting to the APAC Regional Senior Manager. The candidate will also be required to maintain a close working relationship with the Transfer Agency operational oversight team(s) in other Citi locations where processes and activities are outsourced

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations for multiple teams and unit supervisors and ensure teams meet performance and quality expectations.
  • Manage staff resource allocation while assisting with the development and oversight of the budget.
  • Resolve complex and highly variable issues with significant departmental impact.
  • Oversee the volume, quality, integrity, timeliness and delivery of complex deliverables.
  • Analyze issues with transaction capture and related functions where direction is needed, and actions must be recommended / taken.
  • Develop and implement, policies and procedures and support a range of internal and external clients and e nsure that essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining workflow standards.
  • Oversee performance of operational activities and define, develop, implement and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, client service, control, and cost reduction and implement improvements.
  • Conduct discovery and due diligence activities with clients to solve complex client queries.
  • Evaluate staff performance and make recommendations for training/development, pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
  • Contribute to the objectives of the Transfer Agency operations in the region.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

  • Key Competencies / Skills

    The candidate should have strong knowledge of the full trade cycle including other functions performed within the Transfer Agency operations, as well as the responsibilities of the Administrator and the Custodian. The candidate is required to have strong knowledge and extensive practical experience of the following core TA processes:

  • Client & fund distributor on-boarding, AML/KYC documentation & administration, and data maintenance
  • Investor on-boarding, AML/KYC documentation & administration, and data maintenance

  • Corporate action processing
