We are seeking a Senior Geologist to join our growing offshore asset team. This role will focus on both developed oil and gas fields as well as greenfield opportunities and near-field prospects. As a key player with a leading international oil and gas operator, you will provide strategic geological insights to drive field development and appraisal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct high-quality geological studies to support field reviews and development plans.
- Build and update 3D geological models to inform exploration and development decisions.
- Present technical findings to internal and external stakeholders, including non-operating partners, PETRONAS, and service companies.
- Provide geological input for well proposals and post-drill well reports.
- Offer geological support during drilling operations to ensure operational success.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior geologists, fostering team development and knowledge sharing.
- Degree in Geology (Master’s or PhD in a related field preferred).
- A minimum of 10-13 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including time spent with an operating company.
- Expertise in all aspects of oil and gas development geology, including structural geology, stratigraphy, and sedimentology.
- Ability to critically assess and integrate work from other disciplines, such as petrophysics, geophysics, and reservoir engineering.
- Proven experience in geomodelling and geological software applications.
- Hands-on experience with wellsite geological operations.
- Seismic interpretation experience is a strong advantage.
