Senior Finance Associate / Finance Associate (2 positions)

About the roles:
The positions – RTR is responsible for managing end to end RTR activities including period end close activities, fixed asset management, intercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliation, financial and management reporting, local statutory and tax support for APAC region.

What you’ll Do

• Coordinate with business controllers to ensure accuracy and timeliness in
• processing General Ledger (GL) entries at the month/year end closing activities.
• Responsible to prepare the monthly balance sheet reconciliation and ensure that all the accounts are reconciled accurately.
• Responsible for preparation and closing of monthly and annually financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Identifying trends, patterns, and potential issues in the financial data.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support and complete the financial tasks assigned.
• Proactively work with the team lead/manager to identify, propose, an implement continuous process improvement and automation initiatives within the RTR function to increase the efficiency.
• Maintain and update the internal controls framework, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AP/AR/Cash Management team to support business requirements.
• Responsible to perform forecast, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Assist in ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis as needed.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance with min 5 years of relevant working experience
• Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP & well versed in MS Excel
• Fluent written and spoken in English and Mandarin, Cantonese would be added advantage as to handle Hong Kong country

The role primarily supports daily financial and accounting operations to produce accurate and reliable records for both external and internal reporting. Providing analytical reviews to management is also essential.

Task 1: Assist in internal controls & policy adherence—ensure all receipts from retail stores are properly recorded and highlight anomalies immediately.

Task 2: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for retail, ensuring all reporting requirements are met both externally and internally.

Task 3: Ensure timely and accurate recording of invoices and payments to retail landlords.

Task 4: Assist in system implementation and document SOPs in SAP to maintain work quality.

Task 5: Support PUMA wholesale functions as needed and assist with other duties as assigned.

• Assist in preparing the company’s annual budget and rolling forecasts.

Audit, Tax & Treasury Support

• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities for audits and reviews.
• Support treasury operations including cash flow monitoring and bank relationship matters.
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all finance activities.
• Maintain a can-do attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback.

Qualifications & Requirements:-

Education & Certification

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Partial or full professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW) is preferred.

Experience

• 4–8 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, or audit.
• Industry experience in retail, consumer financing, or manufacturing is advantageous but is not mandatory.
• Candidates from audit firms (Big 4 or mid-tier) transitioning into commercial roles are encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of MFRS/IFRS, tax, and internal control principles.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• High level of personal discipline, time management, and integrity.
• Effective communicator with a growth mindset and a strong sense of teamwork.
