  • Assist Regional Head IB in the planning, development and innovation of strategies and business plans to drive growth in corporate clients’ wallet share, customer portfolio, and cross-selling of CIMB Group products.
  • Assist Regional Head IB to oversee the rollout and implementation of regional investment banking business initiatives.

  • Assist CEO of CIMB IB to keep the Board informed of all significant financial and other relevant matters pertaining to Private Banking Investment Banking (PBIB) and Equities businesses.
  • Assist CEO of CIMB IB to enhance the profile of Investment Banking via award submissions and media releases.
  • Together with IB BPA, ensure that the annual budget of business units reporting to the office of the CEO of CIMB Investment Bank, domestic and regional, and the consolidated budget are prepared and aligned to the CIMBG financial objectives.
  • Together with IB BPA, ensure that the performance of the business units are tracked, analysed and reported at prescribed intervals to senior management and/or management committees.
  • Together with BPA, where relevant, attend to queries and requests by regulators on a timely manner.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics/Financial Engineering).
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in IB, finance and/or accounting-related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of Wholesale Banking business including Investment Banking business.
  • High level of business acumen.

JOB PURPOSE

  • To assist in managing AHIB’s Securities Division Risk Management function, ensuring that various risk initiatives are effectively carried out and providing the necessary support to key stakeholders to meet their needs while adhering to Affin Bank Group (ABG)’s Risk Management Framework and regulatory requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in maintaining governance standards, complying with associated policies, minimum and prudential standards, developing and embedding risk management processes within the organization.

  • Develop new risk methodologies , frameworks and controls to continuously improve AHIB’s risk management function.

  • Provide support in conducting stress testing scenarios.

  • Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by Head, Securities Division Risk Management / Chief Risk Officer (CRO).

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or professional qualification.

  • At least 3 years of working experience preferably in finance/banking.

  • Strong inter-personal communication skills, self-motivated and with a strong passion to learn.

  • Analytical and strong problem-solving skills.

  • A team player, dynamic, able to work under pressure and independently with minimum supervision.

What you’ll do:

As a Summer Analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Developing and maintaining complex financial models Performing various financial analyses, including valuations and merger consequences Conducting comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research Preparation of presentation and other materials for clients Participation in due diligence sessions, communications and interaction with deal team members Management of several projects at once and work effectively as an individual and as part of a team. Work on projects alongside bankers in specific industry, product and country coverage groups, providing you with a unique learning opportunity Help the team deliver solutions to clients leveraging full spectrum of the bank's capabilities Develop and leverage upon a truly global network - learn from, and work with, teams consisting of professionals drawn from across the business, including senior bankers within your group, experts in other areas of the firm and colleagues from around the globe Build relationships, knowledge and experience that will open doors to a wide range of future career options and opportunities

Our Summer Analyst program is designed to offer you a broad and exciting experience of work as a full time Investment Banking Analyst. During the summer you will be placed within one of our industry, country or product coverage teams. Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the program in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.

Unique to Bank of America is our provision of a Chief Resource Officer (CRO). The CRO’s role is to manage and optimize the junior banker experience. The CRO partners closely with senior leadership to instill the firm’s culture, to ensure work/life balance and to provide a well-rounded, fun and value-add experience for junior bankers.

In some countries, Summer Analysts are placed in a generalist team which means a 'staffer' will staff you on projects in specific industry, product and country coverage groups. In others, Summer Analysts are placed directly with a specific team throughout the internship. Team placement is determined by considering business needs and the interests/skills of the Summer Analyst.

Program Overview

The Summer Program is a 10-week program designed to provide Summer Analysts with a unique opportunity to gain an exposure to life at Bank of America and also make significant contributions to the team. Summer Analysts are given a true associate experience, as assignments mirror full-time responsibility and include goal-setting and a formal review process.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Product Manager specialized in Capital Markets with Bursa project experience. The Product Manager will be responsible for managing product life cycles, developing product strategies, and coordinating with cross-functional teams. The role will involve analyzing market trends, gathering requirements, and ensuring products meet client expectations.

  • Lead and manage end-to-end digital transformation/migration projects (core back office, ERP, security, DR, cloud).
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors (e.g., Silverlake, AWS/Azure).
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Oversee RFP/RFQ process, vendor evaluation, and contract negotiation.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet Bursa Malaysia/SC/Banks' regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.
  • Manage change management, user training, UAT, and post-go-live support.
  • Conduct regular project meetings, status updates, and executive reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Capital Markets, particularly with Bursa projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Engineering, Business, or related.
  • 7+ years of project management (preferably in capital markets/banking/fintech).
  • Product management skills, including product lifecycle management and strategy development
  • Strong analytical skills to analyse market trends and gather requirements
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in financial services or similar industries is a plus
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets operations, Bursa Malaysia processes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience managing IT migrations, system consolidations, and cybersecurity projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and vendor management skills.
