DESIGNATION: Software Test Engineer
SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS
· Carry out tasks in accordance with the QC framework, which includes establishing and tracking quality assurance metrics, building test plans, and designing and executing test cases with sufficient test coverage.
· Responsible for timely completion of quality tests within project timelines, ensuring they are free from defects and meet company standards and procedures.
· Meet the business and technical requirements that guided design and development.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify deviance from standards and suggest modifications to ensure compliance.
- Ensure test procedures are well documented for reusability and compliance with standards.
- Document software defects using a tracking system and communicate defects to the software development team.
- Drive forward the company test strategy.
- Ensure that all testing is done systematically; identify and log test failures, ensuring that all failures are re-tested.
- Perform Static Testing: Validate the accuracy and completeness of requirements using requirement documents.
- Define and prepare the following documents:
- Requirement review checklist
- Requirement Traceability Matrix
- Test Scenario and Test Case
- Understand requirements and build the Test Plan.
- Build Test Plan, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Data.
- Build, update, and execute all testing types documented in the test plan, such as smoke tests, functional tests, non-functional tests, system tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests, etc.
- Ensure handshake from SIT/QA to UAT, which includes sharing Test Cases, Test Results, and Defect Logs with business users.
- Conduct regular Defect Triage meetings and Defect Reporting to discuss critical and high-impact defects for prioritization and fixing.
- Consolidate and analyze metrics for all test phases.
- Perform causal analysis of all defects raised during various types of testing, especially escaped defects.
- Conduct Test Phase Quality Review with all impacted stakeholders.
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
· Strong analytical and logical skills.
· Experience with Agile and SDLC methodologies.
· Effective time and work planning abilities.
· Experience in test management and defect management.
· Attention to detail with the ability to create clear and precise reports.
· Familiarity with testing tools such as SauceLab and Jira.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to work independently.
· A minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in testing.
· Knowledgeable in both General and Life insurance domains.
· Experience in API testing with Postman/SoapUI.
· Knowledge of SQL and querying databases.
· Defect Leakage, test case effectiveness, and deliverable/execution rate should meet minimum expectations.

The Senior Quality Assurance Tester will be responsible in performing manual and automated testing for CompAsia’s project deliveries across different business units.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Responsible of timely completion of quality test within project timeline and free from defects and meeting company’s standards and procedures.
- Work closely with Product Owner and the business team to translate requirement into test cases and recommend solutions to improve the product usability and quality.
- Responsible for developing test cases and performing QA testing (i.e. Functionality, Regression, Stability, Performance Testing).
- Test functionality during each release to ensure good quality of deliverables.
- Participate in requirement and reviews session to ensure test plans are traceable to requirements.
- Design and implement QC framework which includes establishing and tracking quality assurance metrics, establish testing in both manual and automation, design test cases and efficiently increasing test coverage.
- Handle and prepare testing documents.
- Guide and assist developers in testing matter.
- Collaborate closely with Scrum Master on entire process and workflow.
- Provide test estimates in Test Planning and Test Design stages.
- Provide visibility into progress, risks and issues in regular stakeholder updates.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Analysis or a related study.
- 4+ years of experience software testing in both manual and automation testing.
- 2+ years of experience in implementing test automation framework such as Selenium, etc.
- 2+ years of experience in mobile application testing.
- Experience working with Jira, Jenkins, and GitLab.
- Strong sense of ownership. Willingness to go above and beyond to chase down loose ends that lead to successful project delivery.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to make sound technical decisions
- Ability to develop relationships and work with a wide variety of people.

We're looking for a Senior QA Tester QA to join our team on a 1-year project-based contract to support the development and launch of our upcoming game, Pixelmon TCG. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring game stability, performance, and player experience through thorough manual testing and cross-team collaboration.
What You Can Expect to Work On:
- Oversee Project Delivery and Manage QA testing process and members
- Set up QA workflow and processes for Pixelmon TCG Internal QA to ensure smooth collaboration with other departments
- Set up and manage outsourced QA teams to ensure proper coverage of testing for Pixelmon TCG
- Collaborate with the game development and live ops teams to execute QA strategies specific to Pixelmon TCG during the launch and operations
- Create and execute test cases tailored to project requirements, ensuring high product quality throughout the limited project timeline
- Perform manual and exploratory testing to uncover bugs, performance issues, and edge cases across multiple devices and platforms during the active testing phase
- Log, track, and document defects clearly during the initial release window, collaborating closely with developers to ensure timely resolution within the project scope
- Conduct regression testing and verify bug fixes during each iteration, ensuring all updates meet defined quality standards during live support period
- Participate in post-release and post-implementation testing to maintain gameplay stability
- Analyze trends in reported issues and player feedback to identify potential risks and enhance the live player experience
- Support cross-functional collaboration with Customer Support and Community teams to deliver a seamless launch experience during its release lifecycle edge cases and recommend user experience improvements to the product team
- Uphold QA standards in a fast-paced environment, advocating for quality throughout the launch day and post-launch process
- Perform any other ad-hoc testing tasks required to ensure successful support for the Pixelmon TCG project
What You Need to Succeed:
- Experience: Proven experience with a minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Quality Assurance Tester in the gaming industry or similar role. Experience testing with multiplayer games is a plus
- Technical Skills: Familiar with project management and QA methodologies, as well as software like Jira, Testiny, Excel, Confluence, or equivalents
- Communication: Ability to communicate with stakeholders and the team as a whole in an effective and concise manner
- People Management: Able to work as part of a team, and proven record of cross-functional collaboration. Experience managing teams of QA testers or developers is a plus
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mind, Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Avid Gamer: Being an avid gamer with strong familiarity of common game systems and design practices is highly desirable. Your firsthand experience will help you catch issues others miss and advocate for what players expect
- TCG player: An active TCG player, use your game knowledge to spot balance issues, edge cases, and design flaws early, helping us build a competitive, fun, and fair experience for players
- NFT & Blockchain: Experience in working NFTs and blockchain technology/industry is a plus

We're looking for a Senior QA Tester QA to join our team on a 1-year project-based contract to support the development and launch of our upcoming game, Pixelmon TCG. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring game stability, performance, and player experience through thorough manual testing and cross-team collaboration.
What You Can Expect to Work On:
- Oversee Project Delivery and Manage QA testing process and members
- Set up QA workflow and processes for Pixelmon TCG Internal QA to ensure smooth collaboration with other departments
- Set up and manage outsourced QA teams to ensure proper coverage of testing for Pixelmon TCG
- Collaborate with the game development and live ops teams to execute QA strategies specific to Pixelmon TCG during the launch and operations
- Create and execute test cases tailored to project requirements, ensuring high product quality throughout the limited project timeline
- Perform manual and exploratory testing to uncover bugs, performance issues, and edge cases across multiple devices and platforms during the active testing phase
- Log, track, and document defects clearly during the initial release window, collaborating closely with developers to ensure timely resolution within the project scope
- Conduct regression testing and verify bug fixes during each iteration, ensuring all updates meet defined quality standards during live support period
- Participate in post-release and post-implementation testing to maintain gameplay stability
- Analyze trends in reported issues and player feedback to identify potential risks and enhance the live player experience
- Support cross-functional collaboration with Customer Support and Community teams to deliver a seamless launch experience during its release lifecycle edge cases and recommend user experience improvements to the product team
- Uphold QA standards in a fast-paced environment, advocating for quality throughout the launch day and post-launch process
- Perform any other ad-hoc testing tasks required to ensure successful support for the Pixelmon TCG project
What You Need to Succeed:
- Experience: Proven experience with a minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Quality Assurance Tester in the gaming industry or similar role. Experience testing with multiplayer games is a plus
- Technical Skills: Familiar with project management and QA methodologies, as well as software like Jira, Testiny, Excel, Confluence, or equivalents
- Communication: Ability to communicate with stakeholders and the team as a whole in an effective and concise manner
- People Management: Able to work as part of a team, and proven record of cross-functional collaboration. Experience managing teams of QA testers or developers is a plus
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mind, Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Avid Gamer: Being an avid gamer with strong familiarity of common game systems and design practices is highly desirable. Your firsthand experience will help you catch issues others miss and advocate for what players expect
- TCG player: An active TCG player, use your game knowledge to spot balance issues, edge cases, and design flaws early, helping us build a competitive, fun, and fair experience for players
- NFT & Blockchain: Experience in working NFTs and blockchain technology/industry is a plus

What you will be doing as a Traditional Chinese Localization QA Tester) to support the PlayStation Studios QA department:
- Test the Traditional Chinese version of games developed by PlayStation Studios or external development.
- Verify and report whether the localized content aligns with the game's world and whether there are any discrepancies in content or behavior compared to the original version of the game.
- Check for any inconsistencies in in-game dialogue (such as typos, grammatical accuracy, and whether the tone of speech aligns consistently with the character).
- Identify and report cultural inaccuracies, errors in expressions, and potential issues.
- Categorize issues based on their severity.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Strong passion for games
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in both an individual and team environment
- Flexible schedule
- Passion for videogames
- Highly detail-oriented and capable of maintaining structure in fast-paced environments.
