What's the role? The purpose of the role is to design, develop, test, and operate a complex set of applications or platforms in a specific area. The role involves the utilization of advanced tools and analytical methods for gathering facts to develop solution scenarios. The job holder needs to be able to execute quality codes, review codes and supervise external developers. What does the role involve?

We are looking for a passionate Test Automation Engineer with at least 8+ years of experience to join one of our strategic IT locations: PJ, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and work closely with many other colleagues from HILTI globally. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be part of The Application Landscape Management Team. Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Gather business requirements and translate them into a technical solution. Design, develop, and execute the test automation scripts. Actively resolve and improve test automation passing rate to establish long-term solutions. Keep up to date with the latest industry developments in Enterprise test automation. Work closely with team members to build automated test suites to verify the quality, security, and scalability. The Product Owner will guide you to understand our existing test automation framework and development guidelines and support you in collaborating with the stakeholders.

Your contribution will ensure the quality of our IT systems and deliver tangible values to Hilti Business now and in the future. Therefore, we are focusing on building the in-house Test Automation expertise, and here we want you to grow your career with us and be part of our exciting journey!

This role provides a unique opportunity to work on multiple test automation frameworks, manage test automation suites as a product, and work closely with stakeholders. You should possess good teamwork skills, a high level of coordination skills, and confidence in front of stakeholders.

What you need is:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science or related technical discipline with a Cumulative Grade Point Average > 3.0. Proficient with any common programming languages and debugging skills. A good understanding of the fundamentals of Software Testing methodologies and strong knowledge of any Test Automation frameworks, especially Tricentis Tosca, is an advantage. Ensure high quality of deliverables while enforcing test automation design best practices. Practical experience in Agile Software Development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is an advantage. Excellent interpersonal skills and well-balanced, adaptive communication style; ability to explain complex topics in simple terms. To be very passionate about learning new things, regardless of challenges. To have strong structural, analytical, and critical thinking Fluent in English (verbally and written). Why should you apply? The Fulfillment tech family is one of the pillars allowing Grab to out-serve our customers and partners. Get to know the role

This role is required because we are supporting the project planning and growing business. I You will report to the Senior Software Engineering Manager and be based onsite at Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Define test plans, test specifications, test suites, test cases and proposed tools for functional, security and performance testing
• Understand the product/feature in-depth from the end-user point of view and the underlying implementation.
• Understand the feature and the implementation to find and build feature tests and impacted feature test cases.
• Debug failed test cases by analyzing logs and API responses and report bugs with details. Follow-up on bugs to closure.
• Maintain UI (Web, Mobile app) and API automation suites. Debug and correct script and data issues in automation suites.
• Understand automation framework and add automation test cases for the new features and regression test cases
  
  

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields
• 1 year experience as QA Engineer/Automation Engineer or Software Development Engineer
• Experience with test methodologies, test planning, and test case design
• Have hands-on coding experience with test automation (Mobile app and API automation), including script languages (Python) or other languages (JavaScript, Go)
• Experience using build and release pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or equivalent

• Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proven ability to quickly learn new technologies in a dynamic environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with SAP Fiori apps, S/4 Hana or ECC is a plus
• Experience with Python, Git, HTML or CSS is a plus

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer for partner solution product testing. We believe a successful candidate has 3+ years’ experience as QA engineer / Automation Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test and familiar with one of the test scripts Python/Golang/Java experiment for product automation, but if you believe you have what it takes then we’d love to hear from you either way. This role is required because we are supporting the critical path and continually growing business. In return, you will get an opportunity to work with a creative team and help Southeast Asia people have a better life.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Define test plans, test specifications, test suites, test cases as well as proposed tools for functional, security and performance testing in a programmatic manner
• Understand the product/feature in-depth from the end-user point of view and the underlying implementation.
• Work closely with the Product Manager, Front End, and Backend developers to understand the feature and the implementation to derive and execute feature tests and impacted feature test cases.
• Debug failed test cases by analyzing logs and API responses and report bugs with details. Follow-up on bugs to closure.
• Execute & maintain UI (Web, Mobile app) and API automation suites. Debug and correct script and data issues in automation suites.
• Understand automation framework and add automation test cases for the new features and regression test cases

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Preferably a degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or related fields
• 3+ years of experience as QA Engineer/ Automation Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test
• Should be able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
• Excellent communication, collaboration and analytical skills in English
• Perform testing of iOS, Android apps and Backend API’s to ensure that product meets requirements
• Should have a deeper understanding of the product at the implementation level, should be able to analyze logs and API responses in the Micro-Service integration level.
• Should have coding experience and hands-on with automation (Web, Mobile app and API automation)
• Understanding of database concepts and queries (MySQL)

The Nice-to-Haves

• Should have exposure to Agile and weekly sprint and release working models.
• Knowledge of Tools: Charles, Postman, UI Automation Tools (Selenium, Appium, etc.), Testing Frameworks (Mocha, TestNG, etc. ), object-oriented programming languages (Java, Golang) or any script languages (Python, Shell)
