1. Perform lab tests required to maintain quality of process streams, finished products, and discharged wastes
2. Ensure all data are accurate and details of all tests are recorded and retained
3. Compare test results against targets, norms, and/or specifications and liaise with the appropriate personnel accordingly
4. Prepare and standardize all necessary reagents in accordance with specified methods
5. Prepare quality reports and maintain records of all test results
6. Prepare summary reports on non-routine samples, test cross-check programs and report on minor technical experiments to troubleshoot plant problems
7. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure they are in good and accurate operating condition
8. Maintain equipment/test under statistical control through SQC (Statistical Quality Control Systems for Historical Data)
9. Maintain lab inventory and lab procurement system
10. Observe safety rules and good housekeeping practices; conduct safety talk
11. Carry-out basic troubleshooting and calibration of lab testing equipment

1. Diploma in Technical related
2. Preferably 1-2 years’ experience in Laboratory related work
3. Possess good communication skills with good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
4. Possess valid driver's license
5. Willing to work in a shift cycle
6. Willing to be based at Port Dickson Refinery

• Responsible for carrying out lab works on new product and colour development
• Responsible for conducting tests to support technical service functions

Minimum SPM/ MCE or Diploma

Minimum 2 year relevant experience in colour matching

Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English

Willing to travel within the region

Capable of working independently and diligently to high quality standard

Ability to planand organize work to ensure the completion of assignments according to deadline

To be fully competent in the use of IT systems and software including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint

Team player with positive attitude.

Capable of working under pressure to strict deadlines whilst adhering to quality requirements.

• To execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings.

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Certificate /Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Mechanical or Electronics or any related field.
• Proven working experience as a Lab Technician or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with operating electrical equipment and handling potentially hazardous materials.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Perform routine laboratory tests on milling, batching, packing samples, and raw materials according to SOP, ensuring timely and accurate results.
• Report any quality defects or arising issues to the superior for further action.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for product quality defects and update NCR records accordingly.
• Conduct additional testing related to competitor’s flour analysis, flour streaming studies, complaints, and R&D evaluations as assigned.
• Accurately record and file test results, graphs, and other documents with no errors.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements such as HACCP, FSSC 22000, HALAL, and Good Laboratory Practice.
• Serve as a backup to change formulas in IFIX after normal shifts, during weekends, and on public holidays as instructed.
• Support and comply with FSSC 22000 requirements and actively participate in related activities.
