Job Description
- Lead the manufacturing function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards.
- Full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost and delivery requirements are met.

- Maintains a high standard of 6S environment.
Required:
- At least degree holder in management / engineering.
- Communicates with and assists other departments as needed.
- Well good knowledge in 6S / Safety & ESD production environment.
- Can give full support during off/rest day as well (if required).
- Able to work 12hours & Class 1K cleanroom.
- Preferable have a proven experience of at least 3 consecutive and recent years in leading the development of automation framework and automation (functional).
- Lean six sigma / Lean expert / Project management & other Engineering related certification added as advantage for the job.
- Proficient in standard business application software, Tools & standard engineering method (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, MES). Other soft skills will be an added advantage.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Comply with the procedures defined in the Quality System, Company Policies and Malaysian Labor Law.
- Supervise hiring, training and performance of associates and leads.
- Work together with Quality and Process engineering department to clearly document steps and acceptance criteria of the product assembly in the appropriate manufacturing documentation (MAP and AP’s) and Visual aids.
- Ensure and monitor that the manufacturing lines have available appropriate manufacturing documentation to assembly products such as visual Aids, Physical Visual aids and manufacturing documentation.
- Ensure manufacturing lines have printed and posted in each process workbench visual aids and physical visual aids as required for easily access of the document in a manner that the associate and leads can have product acceptance criteria as reference.
- Ensure adherence to procedures and to good manufacturing practices.
- Meet production schedule within Efficiency and yield goals. Achieve company’s metrics.
- Ensure Line Balancing document is available in production line and work with leads, process engineer and industrial engineer to assign workloads to each assigned work station with personnel available in order to improve efficiency, reduce/eliminate bottlenecks, minimize associates downtimes and eliminate waiting waste.
- Perform Disciplinary sanctions according to internal regulations.
- Supervise proper material identification and segregation (Raw material and Finished Product).
- Elaboration of reports requested by Management.

- Knowledge/experience on ISO 13485 requirements and the Quality System Regulation.

Education:

Physical requirements/Work Environment:
This position primarily works in an office and manufacturing/production environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.

Conduct manufacturing readiness reviews, optimize capacity models, and collaborate with Supplier Development, Quality, and cross-functional teams (IT, Facilities, Supply Chain, Warehouse) to align infrastructure (cleanrooms, material flow, MRP setup) for rapid scale-up.
- Process Optimization & Lean Manufacturing: Drive efficiency, yield, and quality through Lean methodologies (5S, SMED, Value Stream Mapping), error-proofing (poka-yoke), and precision tooling design. Reduce cycle times, resolve defects via structured problem-solving (8D, DMAIC), and implement PFMEA to mitigate risks. Optimize labor allocation, reduce Cost of Quality (CoQ), and execute cost-saving initiatives through waste reduction.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Validate processes using Gauge R&R, enforce Process Quality Plans (PQP) for CTQ characteristics, and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) with closed-loop CAPA. Ensure compliance with SEMI/safety standards, statistical process control (SPC), and in-line metrology inspections. Supports and drive towards successful internal/external audits (e.g. cross-sites, customer, ISO audits).
- Automation & Advanced Manufacturing: Integrate robotics, PLC systems, and automated solutions into assembly, testing, and material handling. Validate reliability (GR&R) and compliance while optimizing throughput.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D on design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and tolerance analysis, support NPI activities (pilot validation, workstation readiness), and troubleshoot critical production issues (equipment failures, test bottlenecks). Develop training programs for copy-exact compliance, covering assembly practices, and defect recognition.
- Cost & Operational Excellence: Analyze manufacturing costs, establish labor & machine time standards, and recommend tooling/process upgrades. Lead small-to-large projects, ensuring on-time delivery within budget, while maintaining Test & Measurement Equipment (TME) calibration standards and managing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Additional Responsibilities: Support ad-hoc business needs and lifecycle optimization across product phases. Undertake other duties as assigned, to support evolving business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead and optimize our high-volume production operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with local Malaysian Direct labors, fostering collaboration, and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Oversight: Manage day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production targets and quality standards.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Local Workforce Engagement: Leverage deep understanding of Malaysian work culture to enhance team performance and motivation.
- Quality Control: Ensure compliance with industry standards and company quality assurance protocols.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations.
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Manufacturing Environment : Experienced in managing mixture of both highly manual manufacturing processes and highly automated processes.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain, engineering, procurement, quality, facility, and IT teams to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and ensure seamless integration of manufacturing processes.
- Employee Development: Conduct training programs to upskill the workforce and improve operational performance.
- Crisis Management: Develop contingency plans for unexpected disruptions in production or supply chain.
- Strategic Planning: Develop long-term manufacturing strategies to support business growth and market demands.
- Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality production standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in high-volume manufacturing management.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience working with local Malaysian teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
