We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Account Manager to cultivate and grow relationships with existing clients, identify new opportunities within those accounts, and ultimately increase sales revenue. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, along with a deep understanding of Information Technology. This role requires a proactive and results-oriented approach, with a focus on building long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities for expansion and increased revenue.
  2. Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within assigned accounts.
  4. Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  5. Understand client needs and challenges, providing solutions and recommendations tailored to their specific requirements.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., presales, marketing, product development, support & delivery) to ensure seamless client experience.
  7. Accurately forecast sales and provide regular updates on account progress.
  8. Identify and qualify new sales opportunities within existing accounts.
  9. Proactively manage client issues and concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  10. Participate in sales training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, and account progress in CRM system.
  12. Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in relevant field, e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  2. 3-5 years of proven experience in a sales account management role, ideally within the IT industry.
  3. Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving revenue growth.
  4. Strong understanding of the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Key Account Manager Responsibilities May Include

  • discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Understand customer requirements and applying product knowledge to meet their needs
  • Attend, manage and resolve customer enquiries and complaints
  • Develop and implement the sales strategy to maintain existing customers and bring in new customers to increase sales volume as set target

  • Good in spoken and written English, Bahasa Malaysia language

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Services Sales Account Manager to join our Services business and to make a significant impact. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing strategic relationships with key clients. You will manage the services sales of our comprehensive range of electrical power distribution products and solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and business success.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for integrating all Schneider Electric services around customer needs and looks after assigned key customers and industry segments.
  • Responsible for creating and implementing specific plans.
  • Works together with Service Operations, Projects and Business Unit sales.
  • Ensures maximum awareness of the Schneider Electric Services portfolio in the assigned market space.
  • Actively manages his/her funnel up to order closure to assure a consistent and growing business. Helps define and/or initiates new services and strategies.
  • Secures customer satisfaction overseeing all ongoing activities with the customer (orders, delivery etc)
  • Utilizes BFO (Salesforce.com) for sales funnel management, account planning, performance and opportunity detection via Sales Cockpit.
  • Provides monthly forecasts, using BFO, and summaries in a timely manner.
  • Monitors margin to be at or above country thresholds. Uses DOA process to escalate opportunities below thresholds.
  • Regular collaboration with Operational Marketing team for thorough understanding of country Installed Base.
  • Coordinates and/or attends trade shows and marketing/sales seminars as and when needed.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar field.
  • Having adequate Electrical Power Distribution systems experience is a must.
  • Any experience in Automation (Drives & PLC) would be an added value for this role.
  • Ability to build a sustainable and reliable relationship with the customer. The concept of Customer Intimacy is critical in Field Services.
  • Energetic, outgoing, proactive and have attention to prospecting and networking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including C-level customers
  • Thorough knowledge of Schneider Electric services offers throughout the Asset Management Life Cycle of the product.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and ERP/CRM related tools. Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to leverage technology for communications and managing own performance

  • Secures customer satisfaction overseeing all ongoing activities with the customer (orders, delivery etc)
  • Utilizes BFO (Salesforce.com) for sales funnel management, account planning, performance and opportunity detection via Sales Cockpit.
  • Provides monthly forecasts, using BFO, and summaries in a timely manner.
  • Monitors margin to be at or above country thresholds. Uses DOA process to escalate opportunities below thresholds.
  • Regular collaboration with Operational Marketing team for thorough understanding of country Installed Base.
  • Coordinates and/or attends trade shows and marketing/sales seminars as and when needed.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar field.
  • Having adequate Electrical Power Distribution systems experience is a must.
  • Any experience in Automation (Drives & PLC) would be an added value for this role.
  • Ability to build a sustainable and reliable relationship with the customer. The concept of Customer Intimacy is critical in Field Services.
  • Energetic, outgoing, proactive and have attention to prospecting and networking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including C-level customers

We are currently seeking a Field Sales (Hunter Role) to join DHL Global Forwarding Malaysia! The Field Sales (Hunter Role) will be responsible for achieving sales revenue targets through retention, development, and acquisition activities. This involves servicing and retaining existing customers and targeting new business opportunities.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships with a portfolio of Strategic Business Customers and prospects within a specific sector, serving as the primary contact and coordinating account activities, including Trade Lane involvement.
  • Being assigned to one of the major products: Airfreight or Ocean Freight.
  • Formulating a personal sales plan to identify and acquire new strategic prospects, aligned with the product focus, and maximizing growth within existing accounts to meet sales targets.
  • Seeking additional business opportunities from existing or new customers outside the major products.
  • Focusing on penetrating new FDI opportunities and expanding the rapidly growing customer base.
  • Aligning sales activities with global and regional sector strategies.
  • Building customer relationships through external and internal meetings to support business development.
  • Achieving sales targets by maintaining a healthy sales pipeline, ensuring contractual performance, and proactive engagement.
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activities through regular reporting and analysis.
  • Gathering customer information for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, and preparing documentation for smooth operational handover and implementation, including SLAs and SOPs.
  • Retaining customers by maintaining close contact, ensuring satisfaction with DHL services, and proactively addressing potential issues.
  • Coordinating with product teams on account planning, customer inquiries, and business reviews.
  • Updating product and executive sponsors regularly on business-critical issues.
  • Consulting with product and sector heads on solutions and best practices.
  • Gathering market and customer information to keep the product and trade lane teams informed of current conditions.
  • Supporting inter-departmental relationships and assisting with accounts receivable issues.
  • Driving company objectives, targets, and programs as approved by management.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental legal requirements through coordination with IMS coordinators.
  • Being aware of environmental impacts of daily activities and taking measures to minimize significant impacts.
  • Implementing operational controls related to environmental aspects with significant impacts.

Qualifications for success in this role include:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; tech-savviness is an advantage.
  • Customer-centric attitude, strong communication skills, and an assertive approach to engaging with customers.
  • Resilience, proactivity, and a positive mindset to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • The position is based in One City, Subang Jaya.
