- Collaborate with service centers to understand product quality in the market.

Operation Support / Value Stream Quality
- Oversee product & process quality in the value stream, supporting performance improvement.
- Manage quality during process changes, sorting, rework, concessions, customer complaints, etc.
- Handle quality management for plant activities like ALR, relocations, new lines/equipment, machine/process parameters, etc.
- Support supplier quality issues, cost-saving initiatives, and change approvals.
- Conduct regular reviews with production for CP and FMEA.
- Perform failure analysis on warranty complaints and drive improvements.
- Verify ANDI contents before release and proper implementation.
- Conduct periodic audits for line and process compliance.
- Investigate non-conformance incidents with cross-functional teams.
- Drive quality process improvements like Q-VSM, functional testing, MES data analysis, etc.
- Manage plant-to-plant quality complaints and product transfer quality measures.

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Sciences.
- At least 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, or project management.

- Knowledge of software coding is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, TS16949, EN standards, and safety requirements like UL, CSA.

Qualifications

- Develop and maintain quality engineering documents (QIP, WI, VA) and inspection criteria. Prepare and manage Certificates of Conformance (COC) to ensure quality consistency.
- Quality Improvement & Process Qualification
- Lead quality improvement projects using DMAIC methodology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process changes, new line/machine qualifications, and tooling validation. Identify and mitigate quality risks proactively.
- Approve WIP scrap applications, monitor scrap trends, and initiate corrective measures.
- Analyze top failures, identify root causes, validate improvement actions, and track results to ensure sustained product quality performance.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a quality function within the electronics industry;
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an advantage.
- Proven ability to lead teams in DOE, GR&R, and data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of cable assembly manufacturing processes (crimping, soldering, testing).
- Familiar with IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC-A-610, and other relevant electrical industry standards.
- Fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin to communicate with our TE China counterpart.

We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer to further develop their skills in quality management and problem-solving. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support activities such as managing product quality plans and handling customer complaints. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong behavioral skills, including:
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Representing quality in innovation, customization, and relocation projects, initiating necessary quality measures
- Product quality planning and management
- Approval of products and component parts (First Lot and Product Approval)
- Initializing and approving Initial Sample Inspections
- Coordinating and processing First Article Inspections
- Handling customer claims (8D reports and Non-conformance reports)
- Managing deviations and approvals
- Ensuring compliance with CE!/CEX requirements
- Supporting change requests and approval processes from a quality perspective
- Assisting in Design and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
- Additional qualifications in quality engineering or a proven track record as a quality engineer are advantageous
- Extensive experience with quality processes of high-tech components in a global, highly consolidated market environment
