Head of Department Information Technology (IT)

Type: Full-Time

JOB OVERVIEW: The Manager of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the organization’s IT infrastructure, systems, and operations. This includes leading a team of IT professionals, developing and implementing IT strategies, ensuring the security and integrity of IT systems, and providing technical support to users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Work the general project schedule.
  2. Upgrade project progress as required.
  3. Manage Automation Framework Development – Framework Design:
  4. Draft System Automation Design.
  5. Manage Automation Framework Development – System Development.
  6. Manage System Automation Development – New Purchase:
  7. Prepare paperwork and detail specifications.
  8. Monitor installations on purchase.
  9. Manage System Automation Development – New System:
  10. Conduct discussion on new system request.
  11. Prepare and submit business requirement study (BRS) for user approval.
  12. Conduct new system development.
  13. Manage System Handover:
  14. Conduct user acceptance test (UAT) session and sign off.
  15. Conduct system training.
  16. Request and conduct development in live environment.
  17. Manage Effectiveness Monitoring – Inquiries & Complaint:
  18. Investigate issues from inquiry/ complaint.
  19. Advise/ rectify identified issues.
  20. Manage Effectiveness Monitoring – Monthly Report.
  21. Manage System Improvement – Existing System:
  22. Take note on alert on request for support.
  23. Conduct and update status of system support.
  24. Request and conduct system support in live environment.
  25. Notify requester that problem rectified.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in IT management roles, with a track record of successful leadership and project delivery.
  • Strong technical knowledge across a range of IT disciplines, including networks, systems, and security.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Leader to drive our agriculture technology projects. This role requires someone who is both technically competent and people-oriented, with strong skills in demonstrations, presentations, and team leadership. You will lead projects from planning to execution, ensuring targets are met, while working closely with internal teams, customers, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage agriculture technology projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within scope.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, field trials, and training sessions for clients, partners, and government bodies.
  • Deliver presentations to stakeholders, customers, and at events to promote products and solutions.
  • Provide basic technical support and guidance, bridging communication between technical specialists and customers.

  • Basic technical knowledge (agriculture machinery, drones, smart farming, or related technologies preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead teams and achieve project or sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 30–50% of the time).
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to field conditions and customer needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with project management tools is a plus.

You will play a huge role in assisting the development of Globibo's market presence from the ground up by driving new businesses & building a pool of clientele. (A) Lead Management (30%)

  • Researching organizations and industry players to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Identifying the needs of other companies and their key stakeholders/ decision-makers
  • Contacting potential clients via email & cold calls with customized value offerings to establish rapport and set up meetings
  • Attending conferences, meetings, and Industry events
