Kinesso is currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Software Engineer to fill an immediate need. The individual will be working as part of a platform engineering team that builds distributed systems that cater to growing internal engineering community.

This role involves close collaboration with multiple engineering groups to understand and implement their requirements and concerns. The candidate will also be responsible for management and deployment of a set of internal tooling catalogues as well as API application development, maintaining diverse data stores, and utilizing cloud services for platform solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage reliable and scalable distributed systems of data services to support internal engineering needs.
• Provide technical expertise and leadership in requirements analysis, design, effort estimation, development, testing and delivery of scalable and secure distributed data services.
• Collaborate and work closely with engineering team from various disciplines ( ie front end engineers, back end engineers, devops, data engineers, data scientists, and product teams to understand requirements and implement their requirements and concerns.
• Provide pre-configured templates that accelerate development, ensuring consistency and best practices as well as creating clear, structured documentation with practical examples, guiding developers from onboarding to advanced usage.
• Follow GitOps principles for all infrastructure changes with declarative configurations. Maintain infrastructure definitions as code with proper versioning and review processes
• Design modular, composable platform components that can evolve independently. Implement golden paths for common development workflows while allowing for exceptions.
• Implement least-privilege access patterns across all platform resources. Integrate security scanning and validation throughout the CI/CD pipeline. Automated compliance checks and policy enforcement using tools like Kyverno. Practice secure secrets management using tools like AWS Secrets Manager / Hashicorp Vault
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting for all platform services. Design for failure with graceful degradation of platform components. Create runbooks and automated responses for common failure scenarios
• Regularly conduct internal platform reviews and improvement cycles. Stay current with cloud-native ecosystem developments and best practices
• Make use of cloud platform and cloud services to develop and enhance platform solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong coding / debugging skills in the following languages Java, Python, Angular, SQL with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Technical proficiency working with various data stores such as
• Data Warehouse (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake),
• NoSQL (e.g., ElasticSearch, DynamoDB).

Responsibilities

Make an impact The Senior Software Engineer (SW Hub) is responsible for developing software solutions that meet customer needs and ensuring high customer satisfaction. They are actively involved in customer projects starting from the development phase until the integration phase. This job is for a Senior Software Engineer (AI) focused on creating advanced customer service software. You might like this job because you'll work on innovative projects, use cutting-edge tech, and help build impactful AI solutions.

Responsible for designing and developing software products that enable omni-channel Customer Contact Center solutions and AI-powered capabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to understand diverse use cases, translate them into technical specifications, and engineer scalable, high-quality solutions. This includes end-to-end development—from system design and build to rigorous testing and validation—to ensure the final product meets both functional and quality standards.

• Build cutting-edge technology that provides a unique value proposition allowing it to become a leader in the market.
• Ensure timely development of proof of concepts, and prototypes prioritizing time to market with MVP features.
• Utilize Agile and Lean techniques to deliver key features quickly.
• Continuously research new technical capability and solutions for adoption.
• Build configurations on AWS Connect based on agreed specifications.
• Document and elaborate on the technical design and building of the completed product.
• Provide production support for the platform, perform triage and troubleshooting of incidents raised, and restore/fix defects identified in a timely manner.
• Build and integrate GenAI capability into platform and solution to build future-proof solutions.
• Ensure the application/platform built is scalable and maintainable at a multi-tenant/international enterprise production level.

• Solid know-how of AWS technology stacks and services; familiarity with other cloud providers and technologies is a plus.
• 5 years of experience with Node.js and React .
• Proven experience building applications using various AWS services such as Connect , S3 , SQS , SNS , API Gateway , EC2 , Lambda , AppSync , Kinesis , Lex , Polly , and Transcribe .
• Possessing certifications like AWS Solutions Architect or equivalent is an advantage.
• Knowledge of WebRTC is a plus.
• Familiar with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and DynamoDB .
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as CloudFormation and Bitbucket Pipelines .
• Familiar with unit testing tools such as Jest , Playwright , and Cypress .
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform .
• Comfortable working in Linux-based environments.
• Proficient in source code management and branching strategies using Git , and tools like GitHub , GitLab , and Bitbucket .
• Working knowledge of Agile and/or Lean methodologies, and collaboration tools like Confluence , JIRA , and SharePoint .
• Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• General knowledge of GenAI concepts (e.g., context, tokens, completions); prior experience with GenAI projects, including mini or proof-of-concept projects, is a plus.

• Soliciting clients requirements and perform impact analysis.
• Develop and test configuration scripts as per client requirements.
• Perform software design and development as per specifications.
• Perform unit testing and peer code review to ensure quality of deliverables.
• Provide support to various testing phases - Quality Assurance (QA), User Acceptance Test (UAT), System Integration Test, Regression Test, Performance Test, etc.
• Provide client training as required.
• Provide support and guidance to other team members, remotely or in-office, when required.
• Additional work outside regularly scheduled/ normal business hours may be required.
• As a Project Lead, plan, monitor and track the progress and quality of the deliverables for the entire project team.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in IT industry.
• Educated to degree level (e.g. BSc, MSc, B Tech) in an IT related subject such as Computer Science or MIS.
• Solid programming/development experience on RDBMS stored procedures (Oracle PL/SQL).
• Familiarity with enterprise level application.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working with teams in remote location.
• Ability to communicate with client and managing clients expectations.
• Ability to convert business requirements into detailed technical specifications.

Get to Know the Role

You will be reporting to the Software Engineering Manager II. Your work will help millions by developing mobile apps used daily by tens of millions, crafted to ensure seamless service with failure and fallback solutions. You will collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and Designers to create the best delivery features.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Work with the product and design team to understand requirements, provide product feedback, own and implement the product from start to finish.
• Participate in technical discussions with other engineering teams
• Write code that is reusable, scalable and testable. Make sure products are delivered on time and with high quality.
• Collaborate with QAs to make sure our app releases are always worthy of five star ratings.
• Review code from other team members, provide constructive feedback and aim to raise the engineering bar.
• Improve the codebase. Propose and set better engineering solutions for the team.
• Be responsible and responsive during on-call duty. Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship and knowledge sharing to peers.
  
  

• A degree in computer science, software engineering or related fields.
• 4+ years of iOS development experience with up-to-date on the modern iOS programming paradigm such as OOP, TDD, reactive programming, and dependency injection.
• Fluent in Swift.
• Knowledge in architectural approaches including clean architecture like MVVM or VIPER.
• 1+ years experiences in writing code, including API design, unit testing, and UI testing techniques.
