Senior Consultant, Solar Power
to work in various solar PV projects in Malaysia and elsewhere in the APAC region.
Responsibilities
Your scope of work will include the following:
Prepare conceptual design and feasibility studies for ground-mounted, rooftop and floating solar PV, battery storage, hybrid renewable energy and potentially other renewable power projects
Prepare technical due diligence for potential acquisition or financing of solar PV, battery storage and other renewable power projects.
Prepare energy yield analysis for solar PV projects
Assist Clients with solar PV EPC tendering projects, negotiations with EPC contractors, and renewable power project development in general
Owner’s engineer during design and construction of the solar PV projects, including assistance in project management and design review
Act as lenders engineer in solar PV projects, doing construction monitoring and operations monitoring.
Preparation of reports for the clients as required
For interested candidates, there is a possibility to expand the role to include participation in other type of projects, such as green hydrogen/ammonia projects, decarbonisation studies, etc.
Qualifications Qualifications and Requirements
Higher professional degree in engineering field relevant for the job (B.Sc. or higher)
Industry background and more than 5 years’ work experience from power utilities, IPP developers, engineering companies, or power sector consulting companies
Good experience in solar and battery storage project development phase
Fluency in English; Chinese language skill is a plus but not mandatory
Excellent report writing, presentation and verbal communication skills
Experience in client interaction and capability to meet deadlines
Ability to work well with people from a range of cultures
Ability to work independently
