We’re looking for a Lead Artist to join our award winning team conveniently located in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur.
As a Lead Artist at Double Eleven, you’ll lead and manage a diverse team of artists across multiple disciplines. The role involves providing clear artistic vision, driving quality standards, and ensuring consistency throughout all projects. With a deep understanding of industry-standard software, tools, and workflows. You will also excel at solving artistic challenges and collaborating effectively with other departments, including Design, Code, and QA, to deliver visually compelling player experiences.
As a global gaming company, we've enabled millions to conquer Minecraft Dungeons, battle in Rust Console Edition and create new adventures in Fallout 76.
Recently, we collaborated with Rockstar Games to bring Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 as well as partnered with Obsidian Entertainment on Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 and 5.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead the artistic team in the development and continuity of High Quality 3D and 2D art assets".
- Working with producers and artists to create an art production roadmap that aligns to content releases and maintain planning foresight.
- Maintain effective information flow to the team to ensure the team members are aligned with the project objectives.
- Provide regular review and feedback on teams work in a clear and constructive manner
- Encourage creativity and participation from all team members.
- Maintain efficient collaboration between the team members and other dependent teams.
- Maintain a close working relationship with your direct manager, producers, leads, and other teams to push project quality.
- Share knowledge and recommend best practices in your area of operation.
- Ensure that produced and integrated assets respect the artistic vision of the game and meet the quality standards.
- Manage direct reports through regular 1 to 1 meetings and setting personal development plans.
What we’re looking for
- Extensive experience as an artist with multiple shipped titles displayed in a strong, relevant, digital portfolio.
- Previous experience as a Senior or Lead Artist in the games industry.
- Experience with Maya, 3D Studio Max or equivalent.
- Experience with Photoshop or other related 2D software.
- Experience working in varied art styles from stylization to realism.
- Experience with shaders and real-time rendering pipelines.
- PBR workflow experience (Substance Painter / Designer).
- Visual art skills, e.g. illustration, graphic design, VFX experience.
- Strong observation and research skills.
- Strong knowledge of the video game industry and awareness of the video game development processes.
- Strong understanding of art fundamentals.
- Experience working in an Agile production workflow.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written

· Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Arts or related fields.
· Minimum 1-3 years of relevant working experience in graphic design.
· Languages: English, Malay and preferably Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
· Fresh graduates with strong portfolios and similar experience are also encouraged to apply.
