We are seeking a talented individual to join our

Claims Operations

team at

Marsh & McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS) . This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective team's arrangement. Manager - General Insurance Claims Claims Operations (Supporting Hong Kong) Processing General Insurance (Non-Motor) Claims includes, verifying claim documentation, evaluating claim eligibility, determining coverage parameters, and calculating appropriate claim settlements.

The ultimate objective is to facilitate a streamlined and accurate claims handling process, ensuring prompt and equitable resolutions for a diverse range of non-motor insurance policies in Hong Kong.

We will count on you to: Adjudication and processing of claims (General Insurance) within turnaround time.

Ensure computed claims settlement and verified reimbursements from insurers are valid.

Diligently monitor and follow-up on unsettled claims with insurers and/or outstanding information from clients.

Interact with stakeholders to ensure proper execution of tasks.

Provide advice to clients on queries related to policy coverage,

claims preparation and operation and other advisory role.

Effective interpersonal skills, presentation and competency in insurance claims management

Prepare claims statistic report on a monthly basis include, updating the documentation processes.

Proactively identify problems with the team or client and provide solutions.

Participate in project initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity of the department.

What you need to have: At least a

Bachelor’s degree in any field

Minimum of 7 years working experience in General Insurance claims

Experienced managing a team , either as a Team Lead or Team Manager.

Good work ethics with high level of integrity,

detailed oriented, compliant and process driven

Have experience in handling Property or Liability Claims processing

Experienced in training juniors

in technical claims processing

This role supports the Chief Reserving Actuary in delivering a wide range of responsibilities. The role is expected to perform more complex actuarial analyses, in relation to reserving, reporting and quantitative risk management:

Supervise annual and quarterly valuations of general insurance liabilities in accordance to generally accepted actuarial principles and local/group requirements Prepare the Financial Condition Report (“FCR”) Collaborate with Finance team for the yearly planning cycle and the Full Year Forecast exercise throughout the year Perform stress test and Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) in accordance with the relevant internal and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines Support IFRS17 implementation Provide recommendation on surplus distribution to participants and shareholders Identify key trends in portfolio’s experience and provide recommendations to the business Perform independent review on product pricing

Your skills and experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics Good exam progress from an international recognized actuarial association At least 2 years of working experience in a related role Able to manage multiple stakeholders across the business and contacts at the regional or head office. A serious and professional attitude towards compliance of regulatory submissions with an eye for attention to detail in order to support accuracy. Excellent team-working, communication and interpersonal skills are also required Able to manage and meet deadlines and work under pressure Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply and will be considered for the Analyst position

The opportunity As part of our non-life (GI) actuarial team, you’ll focus on high-impact opportunities to apply your knowledge and experience that will shape our services. You will be at the forefront of issues that are shaping the insurance industry in Asia and gain a wide exposure to a diverse range of actuarial projects. Your key responsibilities As a Senior Associate in the Actuarial Consulting team, you will be assisting and leading the delivery of a wide range of client engagements, leading or working as part of a project team, relating to, Merger & Acquisitions (M&A) and due diligence; valuation, pricing and product development and regulatory changes. You will also be performing evaluation in areas related to financial risk, product distribution and capital issues. Skills and attributes for success Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong drive to excel professionally, and to guide and motivate others Advanced written and verbal communication skills Dedicated, innovative, resourceful, analytical and able to work under pressure Foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment To qualify for the role you must have Minimum 2 years of experience in the non-life actuarial team or an actuarial consulting firm. Candidates with lesser experience will be considered for Associate position Good exam progress with either the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK), Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), the Society of Actuaries (SoA) or the Institute of Actuaries of Australia Good written and verbal communication skills Ideally, you’ll also have Depth of experience in at least one of the following areas from a Non-Life perspective: financial and regulatory reporting reserving product pricing and distribution strategy ERM / solvency framework/ statutory capital IFRS 17 What we look for Highly motivated individuals with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a rapidly changing industry.
