Get To Know The Role

The Collections Supervisor is responsible for running the Collections operations and call strategies for Malaysia/Singapore consumer and SME portfolios.

The day-to-day tasks:
  • Manage the active delinquent portfolio

  • Monitor and control delinquency, minimise credit losses and improve resolution rates through effective digital and call strategies

  • Review and improve Collections strategies and processes to ensure overall efficiency in terms of customer contacts, early warning signals and recovery techniques

  • Provide regular inputs to management on delinquency trends, early warning signals from the newly booked portfolio and flow rate velocity and recovery indicators

  • Run the Collections function on a day-to-day basis (system performance, worklist assignment, call centre, reporting)

  • Ensure the processes and policies are documented, updated and in compliance to statutory, regulatory and bank’s requirements

  • Develop comprehensive training plan and conduct trainings for new officers

  • Manage and mentor the team

  • Monitor the teams’ and officers’ productivities

  • Review officers’ performances; conduct appraisals and coaching to continuously improve the standard of the performances

  • Review customer feedbacks and develop resolution timeframe and benchmarks

  • Partner with product teams and business units to coordinate Collection’s activities across the bank

  • Take on additional projects and tasks assigned by reporting manager

Must Haves:

  • Have at least 5-years experience in a Collections context with at least 3-years experience in a direct supervisory position

  • Well versed in the bank products and processes

  • Possess strong communication, good interpersonal and people management skills

  • Possess a logical and analytical mindset

  • Able to think outside the box and suggest innovative ways that Collections can be run

  • Experienced in managing and using Debt Manager system a plus

  • Good with SQL, VBA Macro and primary Microsoft applications a plus

**Responsibilities:**
+ Transaction Banking ("TB") provides core banking products and services for our corporate customers.
+ This includes the channel and account offerings for the delivery of Trade & Supply Chain Finance and Cash Management, such as liquidity; pooling and sweeping; payments and receivables; trade and supply chain finance, usance LC payable at sight basis, LC discounting on non-recourse basis and Accounts Receivables Payable Scheme ("ARPS").
+ To identify and drive the sales of TB with internal support from stakeholders in achieving targeted growth in revenue and drivers (for assets and liabilities) while representing the bank in client and industry engagements.
+ Proactively manage TB relationships within the portfolio of existing and agreed target clients in order to develop, structure and provide proposals that meet customers' requirements. Spot opportunities to deepen TB income and economic profit, recommending and implementing the appropriate solutions.
+ Develop, implement and execute TB Account Planning, client sales and trade relationship pipelines in a timely manner.
+ Act as a point of contact for all TB transactions for customers, with the ability to discuss technical and operational aspects of transactions.
+ Identify product gaps or new product opportunities to support the enhancement and development of existing and/or new product/services via a cost-effective delivery channel.
+ Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role. Understand and comply with applicable laws and regulations, the Group's policies, procedures and the Group Code of Conduct. Effectively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters. Contribute to a culture in which all stakeholders feel safe to raise concerns and where risk and compliance are addressed and appropriately dealt with.
+ Support the active management of the TB portfolio as required.
**Requirements:**
+ Applicant must have a recognized Degree in Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or its equivalent from a recognized university/higher learning institution.
+ Proven record of technical understanding of Trade and Supply Chain products. Minimum of 2 years of experiences in a trade sale.
+ Demonstrable success in Trade Sales and Business Development/Marketing
+ Strong knowledge of risk profile and regulatory treatment of Trade & Supply Chain products and associated risk and portfolio management practice
+ Good understanding of local and/or international products and other banking products related.
+ In-depth understanding of Trade and Supply Chain Finance products and sound understanding of the broad range of Transaction Banking products. Minimum 2-year experiences in a trade sales or product management capacity
+ Demonstrable success in Trade Sales and Business Development area
+ Proven record of technical understanding of Trade and Supply Chain products
+ Broad knowledge of the Trade Finance risks and related.
+ Knowledge of risk profile and regulatory treatment of Trade and Supply Chain and associated risk and portfolio management practices.
+ Knowledge on working capital requirement, credit background and Trade Operations would be an added advantage.
+ Ability to read and write Japanese language would also be an added advantage

+ To take charge of a mixture of credit & non- credit portfolio, attending to business promotion (loan, deposit and forex growth).

+ Experience in handling corporate clients within the semi-conductor sector will be considered an advantage.
+ Applicant must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
+ Good knowledge of banking regulatory environment, relevant laws & regulations, industry trends and products.
+ Possess good written and oral communication skills in dealing with internal employees or external customers/client.
+ Strong PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

+ To ensure the compliant and adherence of all relevant policies, procedures, regulations, guidelines in line with BNM, Parent Bank and regulatory requirements, cultivating and practicing a robust risk compliance culture.
**Requirements:**
+ Applicant must have a recognized Degree in Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or its equivalent from a recognized university/higher learning institution.
+ Preferably with 1-2 years of relevant working experience in credit and marketing.
+ Applicant must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
+ Good knowledge of banking regulatory environment, relevant laws & regulations, industry trends and products.
+ Accountable for own and team contributions and take ownership of their tasks.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
+ Possess good written and oral communication skills in dealing with internal employees or external customers/client.
+ Strong PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

**Responsibilities:**
+ Assist in executing and monitoring day-to-day operations related to Global Corporate (GC) Banking activities.
+ Support Relationship Managers in managing relationships with MUFG Berhad and Labuan GC clients, contributing to seamless client servicing.
+ Coordinate with internal teams to prepare instructions for Credit Control, Loans, Bank Guarantees (BG), Letters of Guarantee/Credit (LG/LC), and ensure proper handling of key documents.
+ Track credit expiry dates and assist in timely renewal to maintain credit validity in line with internal systems (e.g., SMILE).
+ Respond to client queries via email or phone in a professional and timely manner, delivering high-quality service.
+ Assist in preparing and submitting claims and documentation for business trips and client entertainment for Relationship Managers and Head of Department.
**Requirements:**
+ Applicant must have a recognized Degree from a recognized university/higher learning institution.
+ Minimum 1 year of experience in banking or financial services is an advantage, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and external clients.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
+ A team player with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
