Programme Overview

The Financial Sector Enrichment Programme (FSTEP) is a 3 + 9-month intensive graduate training programme, in collaboration with Asian Banking School (ABS), designed to equip talent with the skills and knowledge needed for a career in financial services. Job Responsibilities:

  1. Compliance & Audit Management
    • Provide advisory on regulations issued by regulators.
    • Coordinate responses to regulatory consultative papers.
    • Manage cross-segment regulatory projects.
    • Act as the main contact point between Corporate Banking and auditors/regulators/compliance/market risk on regulatory, operational, and legal matters.
    • Conduct preliminary investigations on misconduct and manage disciplinary records.
    • Ensure controls are in place to meet regulatory requirements.
    • Train CBK staff on regulations and policies.
    • Drive compliance projects and initiatives.
    • Handle data requests from CBK / Group CBK Business Management.
  2. Business Operational Risk Control
    • Perform control testing via KRCSA exercises.
    • Manage Key Operational Risk Indicators (KORI).
    • Align with Group standards and localize controls as needed.
    • Report incidents, analyze gaps, and implement controls to prevent recurrence.
    • Conduct internal self-assessments for CBK.
  3. Others
    • Compile and analyze data for regulatory reviews and reporting.
    • Prepare presentation decks for internal forums and management reviews.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Malaysian nationality.
  • Bachelor's degree in any field.
  • Fresh graduates or with less than 3 years of work experience.
  • Fluent in English, with good communication skills; adaptable, dedicated, and independent.
  • Willing to commit to the 1-year bond period of the programme.
