ROLE PURPOSE

Manage and supervise the collection, compilation and dissemination of credible and timely payment statistics to facilitate surveillance, compliance analysis, policy formulation, in accordance with statutory and stakeholders’ requirements and international, national and bank-wide compilation/ dissemination standards and methodologies. Lead statistical analysis/research, establishment of business and functional requirements for the development/enhancement of the payment related statistical systems.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assume the role of technical expert and point of reference on reporting requirements, compilation methodologies, and operating procedures for the unit.
  • Monitor and manage the operations of the unit to ensure timely and accurate submission of data by reporting entities, systematic data quality check and disseminate credible and coherent data to users, in accordance with international, national and bank-wide statistical standards and compliance requirements (EDG, ISMP etc.).
  • Resolve problems/weaknesses in data management operations including system related matters, make recommendations and implement solutions to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Review policy documents, data quality framework and operational procedures to document the latest reporting requirements and data management operations.
  • Keep abreast with the latest developments on international and national statistical standard and significant developments affecting best practices in data compilation.

Statistical Insights

  • Provide advisory, analytical support, value add to line departments in surveillance/ making policy recommendation/ decision arising from or impacting payment reporting, including new/ changes of reporting.
  • Provide guidance and direction on analysis of data trend at individual entity, sector/industry, domestic and global settings to identify data patterns and significant developments affecting stakeholders, within subject area – the outcome will be incorporated as part of existing report or specific white papers.
  • Provide expertise in generating meaningful data insights, including collaboration with line departments for presentation to senior management and policy platforms, through statistical methodologies and analytics.

Statistical Imputation & Forecasting

  • Identify and drive relevant areas for statistical analysis/ research on relevant publication with the application of relevant statistical methodology to improve data comprehensiveness and quality.

Statistical Communication

  • Plan and strategise effective statistical communication in conveying statistical information and insights to a wide range of audiences.
  • Provide guidance on issues monitoring by the unit where payment data can be used to address public queries and collaborate with strategic communications of the Bank to dispel misconceptions or reinforce key messages.

System Enhancement: Monitor progress and deadlines to ensure

  • Delivery of comprehensive business and functional requirements for the development/enhancement of the payment related statistical systems.
  • Comprehensive system testing covering all business and functional requirements are properly incorporated and that the system is able to meet user requirements in an efficient manner.

Data advisory and advocacy.

  • Lead and guide the promotion of data products and enterprise learning programs to facilitate greater data usage across the organization.
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance in delivering advisory and technical services to stakeholders, ensuring the effective utilization of payment data.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to proactively identify, recommend, and publish new or granular data items, supporting the Bank's open data initiatives and broader data-sharing goals.

Provide coaching and feedback to staff and identify training opportunities to help them develop their potential and further enhance their productivity. Plan and allocate appropriate resources based on the work volume to ensure fair distribution of work amongst officers in the Unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Academic qualifications: Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Finance, Banking, Accounting, Data Science or equivalent
  • Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in central banking environment, with good working knowledge of data analysis and data compilation.

  • Identify, assess, mitigate, report, and escalate operational risk exposures; support the team in minimizing risk-related failures and investigate material issues to prevent recurrence.
  • Identify new potential failure points and implement appropriate controls; coordinate exceptions and track risk issue resolutions.
  • Identify weaknesses in control standards and ensure effectiveness of controls; assist with internal/external audits and provide timely information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and enhance business strategies using data, optimizing resources across various teams, like sales operations, seller programmes.
  • Lead our commercial target-setting process to guide business growth effectively, Create and maintain dashboards to keep track of key performance indicators.
  • Work with Business Intelligence and Data Product teams to ensure our data is accurate and actionable for key stakeholders.
  • Spot trends and opportunities in seller program design for improvements and maintain strong governance of financial viability.
  • Monitor seller performance and provide insights to refine seller programs and optimise KAM incentive distributions according the efficient seller target setting process.
  • Conduct targeted analyses to solve unique business challenges, offering data-driven solutions. Provide strategic insights to leadership on sales operations, including incentives and profitability models.
  • Collaborate with Seller Engagement and Sales Operations teams to manage seller communications and inquiries.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field.
  • At least 3-4 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or commercial operations (e-commerce, consulting, or retail).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; you thrive in teamwork settings.
  • Quick learner who adapts well to changing environments and priorities.
  • Solid analytical abilities, especially with Excel; familiarity with data tools such as SQL is a plus but not mandatory.

Manager, Data Analysis (Malaysia, India) Responsible for managing data analysis controls and operational risk processes related to the Client List Derivation. Focus on executing and updating controls, conducting root cause analysis, and communicating findings to stakeholders. Responsibilities

Execute and update the Key Control Indicator (KCI) / Control Sample Testing (CST) for the Client List Derivation process to minimise potential failures arising from operational risk events; perform root cause analysis on issues identified and communicate to the relevant process owners. Assist in designing and updating KCIs / CSTs to ensure potential failure points are adequately mitigated. Coordinate, drive, and direct effective operational risk management for the automated Client List Derivation process. Perform root cause analysis on issues and ensure timely communication to the respective process owner. Implement and monitor KCI / CST processes, sampling, testing, and recording of related activities; monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). Enhance automated KCIs to remain effective and aligned with framework requirements; maintain proper records of KCI / CST activities. Identify, assess, mitigate, report, and escalate operational risk exposures; support the team in minimizing risk-related failures and investigate material issues to prevent recurrence. Identify new potential failure points and implement appropriate controls; coordinate exceptions and track risk issue resolutions. Identify weaknesses in control standards and ensure effectiveness of controls; assist with internal/external audits and provide timely information to stakeholders. The Data Science Lead will collaborate with various business teams to apply suitable prescriptive and predictive models to solve complex problems, driving strategic decision-making. As a Lead Data Scientist – Global Reporting & Analysis you will:

Lead Data Science in FP&A: Oversee strategy reviews, best practice adoption, and identify gaps in current ML processes.
Advanced Modeling: Design, develop, and deploy predictive models and AI solutions to address business needs.
Team Leadership: Lead multiple Data Scientists and mentor team members on best practices.
AI Strategy: Drive strategy for AI applications and advanced analytics solutions.
Performance Evaluation: Evaluate and optimize data-driven products.
Project Management: Drive large cross-functional projects from ideation to implementation.
Collaboration: Work with engineers and other data scientists to integrate models into production systems.
Solution Design: Design and deploy data-driven solutions to improve business outcomes.

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

· Bachelor’s degree in a data science related field.

· Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.

· Minimum 5-7 years of experience in data science.

· Experience developing machine learning models into full production.

· Strong expertise in ETL processes, data integration, and transformation.

· Proficiency in programming and statistical tools such as Python, R, SQL, SPSS, IBM CPLEX

· Experience with cloud platforms and big data technologies – Databricks, Azure, Spark, SAP (R4) and/or SAP (4HANA), IBM Planning Analytics

· Strong experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

· Experience working with business teams and within general business processes

· Experience in Manufacturing Industry

· Understanding of common business financial terms and metrics

· Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.

· Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.

· Strong communication skills, including the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders, facilitate discussions, deliver training, and manage time effectively.

· High initiative and creativity, with the ability to work independently and think strategically and technically.

· Leadership and mentoring experience, with a demonstrated ability to guide and develop junior team members and develop collaborative teamwork

· Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
