Job Summary
The incumbent works closely with the Sales Manager in managing the Consumer Health/ Pharmacy channel.
General Responsibilities
- Support superior in managing day-to-day operating expenditures against operating budgets to ensure efficient usage of resources
- Implement action plans (e.g. make regular calls/visits, take orders, etc.) to achieve sales targets for assigned businesses/territories
- Track self/team progress against key performance indicators and sales plans. Prioritize and review daily sales activities performed
- Execute sales activities for assigned businesses/territories, including product portfolios and marketing plan introductions, order taking, marketing display set-ups, and in-store merchandising
- Prepare quotation/tender prices, delivery, and commercial terms, in accordance with company policies
- Report on the activities and products of the competitors via inputs to the competition reports
- Record sales data for reporting and tracking purposes. Maintain relevant customer data in appropriate customer relationship management databases
- Execute continuous improvement activities to enhance sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc. Track and collect payments from customers
- Maintain a customer complaints/issues log and follow up on customer issues
- Respond to customer orders and queries. Inform current and prospective customers of promotions and new/upgraded products
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of products. Support internal stakeholders in relationship development with key customers
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of the industry/ market/ competitors/ customers/ products/ services and selling skills.
- Possess basic knowledge of regulatory requirements of products within assigned territories, including handling procedures, shelf life, warranties, etc.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Minimum Degree in Allied Health program will be added advantage.

Office Administration
- Facilitate daily operations of KL & Penang sales office by maintaining compliance with company rules, regulations & policy while optimizing operation cost/expenses.
- Administer Penang sales office’s general facilities and manage its utilities billings. Ensure Capital Appropriation Request submission & asset leasing contract renewal are timely & in order.
- Assist in preparing Annual Operating Plan budget (Penang Office).
- Maintain filing systems and ensure the proper retention, protection, and disposal of records.
- Prepare shipping document/samples/parts for outbound shipment/courier.
- Provide support to staff and management which are not limited to:
- compile sales reports for submission to Sales Director;
- assist local and foreign staff on business travels, includes arranging for hotel bookings and transportation, as well as facilitating cash advance request;
- coordinate & facilitate semicon exhibition roadshow;
- source for customer corporate gift.
- Involve in GEAR Project including User Application Testing.
Sales Admin Function
- Provide support to customer, including handling correspondence and preparing documents.
- Prepare sales quotation on behalf of sales manager/sales rep & submit order package via the system.
- Work closely with Sales Manager and Product Marketing Department to verify machines pricing and specifications.
- Prepare the manual quotation for service and training after obtaining pre-approval from Customer Support and Training manager.
- Work together with Service Manager to ensure accurate & timely billing for service Purchase Order and provide necessary updates to customers.
- Coordinate warranty Claim for Defect Part replacement (PTR).
- Provide advices to customers on warranty part (Return Material Requisition) return procedure for repair or new parts replacement and provide necessary updates engineer/customer on PTR status.
- Assist to submit sales document/form for new customer set up, credit limit increase and payment terms changes/application.
Qualifications:
- Typically 4-5 years proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role.
- Diploma holder or equivalent.
- Proficiency with office applications, and aptitude for learning new software and systems.
- Ability to keep track of multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Resourceful and independent, able to work with minimum supervision.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

As the Inside Sales Representative:
- The first contact point to build long term relationship with mid-market business partners/customers to deliver a strong support to improve overall sales target & revenue.
- Manage sales cycle effectively which include prospecting, make contact, qualify & nurture prospect turning them into sales closure & delivery.
- Manage quotation requests daily, build sales pipeline, track & review weekly performance.
- Work closely with marketing, channel, & vendor management team in executing leadgeneration campaigns & partner recruitment activities.
- Engage & follow through company inbound & outbound leads across industries to identify opportunities & determine customers’ needs with company’s security & cloud offerings.
- Operate company Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems for customer profiling & track leads, quotations, Marketing Qualified Leads (MQL), & Sales Qualified Leads (SQL).
- Deliver products, solutions & company value proposition messages verbally, in writing, & through digital platforms to capture business partners/customers attention, envisioning their future with company.
- Able to leverage on digital & social platforms like emails, video, chat, phone, conference call, LinkedIn & etc. to maintain high daily activities to effectively reach out & sell to business partners/customers (minimum 60-90 activities daily).
- To do action plans and results reporting to team lead & management to stay on top of team goals and objectives.
- Be the digital sales ambassador of company & deliver a world-class customer engagement experience (Distribution-as-a-Service) to company’s vendors, business partners, & customers.

- Promote and Increase Awareness of JCI Marine Solutions.
- Collaborate and coordinate activities across L-Tyco & L-JCI Marine Solutions Teams within Global Marine & Navy

- Working with the Sales Manager to implement the agreed strategy for Business development and the promotion JCI Marine Solutions.
- Work alongside the Sales and Engineering teams to create and develop a strong platform for new build sales within South East Asia Marine & Offshore markets.

How you will do it:
- Be responsible for promoting JCI as the Industry Leader together with our full range of fire solutions to key decision makers and influencers within the Marine & Offshore market places.
- Target and develop key End User relationships across each of the regions. In particular those associated with the Marine & Offshore.
- Develop an understanding of the Local Authorities and their associated regulations and company registrations required in association with each of the solutions we take to market.
- Identify, lead and coordinate JCI efforts to obtain local Authority and End User product / solution approvals
- Long term goals will include developing a strategy and platform by which we are able to target new installation sales opportunities for JCI within the territory.
- Responsibility for the development and achievement of the JCI Business Development and Growth Plan, including specific sales objectives and financial targets.
- Identify potential and develop those accounts within territory that have a mind-set and can add value as Key Account Service Partners.
- Further develop existing and identify / target new Customer relationships and projects in order to promote JCI and generate new build business for the complete JCI Fire businesses.
- Develop and maintain a high level of opportunity conversion by maximising strong relationships with potential Customers and decision makers / influencers.
