Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet production targets accordance to set quality standards with cost effective mindset.
- Monitoring production schedules, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
- Analyzing production data and providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Monitor and evaluate the accuracy and quality of work across all sections.
- Collaborate with other department managers to resolve interdepartmental challenges and align on shared goals.
- Ensure all inventory is accurately labeled and organized for efficient retrieval and stock control within the work area.
- Support the planning and optimization of equipment and assembly floor layouts to improve workflow and material handling.
- Ensure all lifting tools and equipment within the assembly and fabrication areas are regularly inspected, maintained, and documented in routine checklists.
- Develop and review key performance indicators (KPIs) for the production team to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Promote a clean, safe, and organized factory environment. Ensure all health and safety regulations are strictly followed and immediately address any hazards.
- Champion a strong safety culture by enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a hazard-free workplace.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of working experience in HVAC manufacturing environment (fabrication/assembly) is added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and provide practical solutions.
- Knowledgeable in machine maintenance related (mechanical, electrical & hydraulic).
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, external vendors/suppliers.
- Good at reading and interpreting engineering drawings and having experience in sheet metal processes.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
