TA Specialist at Ichor Systems#We are hiringWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manufacturing Manager to lead and optimize production operations with a strong focus on special processes, including electropolishing (EP), passivation, anodization, and related surface treatments. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing activities to ensure that production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of manufacturing with an emphasis on special processes.
- Ensure production output aligns with quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Oversee scheduling and prioritization of work orders involving special processes.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to monitor and improve process control.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related quality issues.
- Maintain strict compliance with all applicable industry standards and safety requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies.
- Analyze and improve production workflows, equipment utilization, and throughput efficiency
- Supervise and mentor manufacturing supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, communication, and results.
- Coordinate training programs for operators and technical staff on special processes
- Track and report on KPIs including yield, scrap, cycle time, and downtime.
- Develop reports for senior leadership and contribute to strategic planning
Special Process Expertise
- Provide technical oversight and guidance on electropolishing (EP), passivation, anodization , and similar processes.
- Ensure all special processes are performed per customer, internal, and regulatory specifications.
- Support and maintain special process accreditations, including audit readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field
- 8+ years manufacturing experience as factory leader
- 5+ years previous management experience required
- Hands-on experience with special processes such as electropolishing, passivation, and anodization
- Strong knowledge of process validation, FMEA, and SPC
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, lean principles, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma)
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Broad knowledge of process/production principles
- Ability to plan, organize, motivate and evaluate assigned resources
- Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbally
- Proficient in the use of MS and mainframe applications
- Advanced people skills: ability to evaluate, coach and motivate employees

Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Manages resources responsible for assembling, testing and repairing products in a manufacturing site generally with fewer than 400 employees.
- Plans, manages and controls department performance by establishing overall direction and priorities.
- Establishes policies and guidelines and evaluates results.
- Establishes production metrics, tracks metrics and sets realistic production goals to maximize throughput.
- Recommends and manages the work unit budget.
- Advocates for and allocates appropriate resources, tools, equipment and support to meet production requirements.
- Acts as an interface between production and other product related functions.
- Drives and promotes quality workmanship and continuous improvement in all manufacturing processes.
- Participates in cross-functional product teams and process improvement groups.
- In–depth knowledge of the production process and the tools and equipment used in the process.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the business unit and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery and the profitability of the unit.
- Ability to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metrics.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight time deadlines and in a highly dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use some or all of the following PC applications: Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Duties of this position are performed in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, etc.
- Duties may require periodic sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Occasional overnight travel is required.

Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning, organizing, and managing daily production activities to meet quality and delivery targets.
- Monitor and coordinate the workflow between roasting, packing, and filling lines.
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely order fulfilment for wholesale, online, retail, and custom orders.
- Supervise and support production staff, ensuring safety, hygiene, and efficiency on the factory floor.
- Maintain proper documentation for production records, quality checks, and inventory updates.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety and food quality standards at all times.
- Assist in managing maintenance schedules for machines and equipment.
- Liaise with procurement and supply chain departments to ensure raw materials are available in a timely manner.
- Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach.
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards is an added advantage.
- Able to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English

Key Responsibilities:
- Leads the end-to-end implementation of financial accounting systems and information infrastructure.
- Cost control and analysis: Monitor and analyze direct/indirect manufacturing costs (materials, labor, overhead); conduct variance analysis(e.g., material usage, labor efficiency) and root-cause investigations.
- Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement by collaborating with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to align with targeted cost objectives.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation and submission of direct and indirect tax filings (e.g., Corporate Income Tax, Sales and Service Tax, Withholding Tax, and Customs Duties), with particular attention to the accounting and tax treatment of cross-border transactions.
- Managing daily accounting functions including GL, AP, AR, FA, and cash management.
- Prepare annual production budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

- Experience with tax incentives for manufacturing (e.g., MIDA incentives)
- Strong cross-function communication & influence.
- High integrity, strong sense of teamwork, honesty, stability, and reliability.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and proficiency in MS office.

The New Role
Reporting to the CFO, you will be involved in the full spectrum of treasury management and corporate finance activities, including cash & bank accounts management, treasury documentation and compliance, project financing, M&A, corporate restructuring, short- and long-term financing etc. You will also lead a team that will manage cash flow and funding matters, forex, interest rate risks, and loan covenants monitoring. You will work with various stakeholders, both internal & external, to drive efficiency in fund management and improve the overall liquidity of the Group.
Requirements to Succeed
The successful candidate must hold a Chartered Accountant certificate, with around 6-8 years’ relevant work experience, ideally with a blend of Big4 and commercial experience, preferably in a Public Listed Entity. Strong knowledge in accounting standards and proficiency in Excel will be an added advantage. It is critical that you are adept in debt and equity financing exposure, forex, and cash flow management.
