Job Description
  1. Manage and coordinate the production function of the plant/operations unit.
  2. Translate plant/operations unit’s production strategy into action plans and ensure implementation.
  3. Contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning).
  4. Ensure the achievement of production targets according to internal and external customer expectations.
  5. Initiate and control investments for production equipment (e.g. production machines, assembly equipment).
  6. Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities by applying CBS methods and training measures.
  7. Interface to segment, BU or BA functions in order to gather local production requirements and demands and other feedback.
  8. Participate in and/or steer global or local production-related and cross-functional projects.
  9. Conduct employee dialogues, personnel development and coaching.
  10. Prepare, review and manage the budget and forecast of production cost centers.
  11. Ensure timely submission of financial data to controlling.
  12. Implement and conduct activities according to the budget established.
  13. Ensure that the financial goals are met.
  14. Ensure planning of all production processes, equipment and employee resources taking into account customer demand and available capacity.
  15. Ensure the fulfillment on the daily and monthly production plan and corrective actions with relevant departments.
  16. Contribute to regular production planning and control processes (especially in close cooperation with supply chain function of plant/operations unit).
  17. Ensure operation of all production and rework processes and equipment (e.g. mixing, calendaring, extruding, making-up, pressing, vulcanization, assembly, etc.) according to standards and planning in close cooperation with maintenance (manufacturing engineering / facility management).
  18. Ensure operation of in-process quality control and final inspection according to standards and planning.
  19. Improve and follow up regularly on quality and losses with relevant departments.
  20. Ensure operation of internal material handling and transportation (internal logistic) for semi-finished goods (raw materials and finished goods are excluded) according to standards and planning.
  21. Ensure production data acquisition (e.g. order, machine, process or quality data) according to standards.
  22. Ensure compliance with requirements regarding ESH.
  23. Operate shop floor training management (i.e. education and training of variable staff for production, logistics and maintenance processes).
  24. Ensure the availability of qualified employees for the production function in cooperation with plant HR.
  25. Initiate and control the continuous qualification of production employees in cooperation with plant HR.
  26. Support production performance (KPI) monitoring and reporting (e.g. regarding cost, lead time, quality, scrap, waste, energy, OEE, etc.) in cooperation with manufacturing engineering and plant controlling.
  27. Initiate and control measures to improve production process performance.
  28. Ensure local implementation of central production standards.
  29. Provide feedback and input for further development of standards regarding production processes (e.g. production flow plan, production control plan, work instructions, standardized work chart, standardized work combination table, job instruction sheet, process parameters, materials), production equipment (e.g. machines, equipment, layout), logistics (e.g. material handling and storage technologies) and quality (e.g. test methods, equipment) to segment, BU or BA functions.

Education & Experience

Establish, review, implement and maintain Lean methodologies to increase throughput, reduce excess inventory and reduce operating cost. Job Purpose

The Project Manufacturing Manager (PMM) is in a key project leadership position responsible to deliver a complete subsystem or product, according to project requirements, on time and on budget, to the Subsea Projects organization.

Job Description
  • Accountable for all work to fulfill the contractual obligations between Subsea Projects and REMS Manufacturing, within project budget and schedule, related to the delivery of a specific sub-system / product (including all products / components constituting the complete sub-system; project reporting and documentation…), from project start-up to close out;
  • Ensure the REMS project is fully mobilized after receiving the formal instruction from the Tendering Team: key project team members assigned; commercial and technical handover completed; Purchased Order received from Subsea Project; project created and demand loaded in ERP; Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing schedule baselines released;
  • Upon tender handover, ensure the float of the project schedule is maintained to protect the committed delivery dates;
  • Review and approve contractual documents, as needed, between REMS and Subsea Projects (e.g. Sales Order, Variation Orders.);
  • Work transversally within REMS and lead regular sub-system / product meetings with key project contributors (Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing.) to drive the upcoming work according to the plan and ensure everyone is working towards the same priorities;
  • Proactively provide accurate reporting to Subsea Projects, through standard project progress reports, project schedules, etc. (actuals, forecast, risks and mitigations, opportunities…); At times, the PMM might have to prepare special reports for the projects, based on specific needs;
You are meant for this job if:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent diploma. Desirable: PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent business experience.
  • 10 years of experience as project coordination related area and/or six years experience in a Project Supervisor role.
  • Project Management techniques and standards.
  • Leadership training.
