Key Responsibilities: Conduct 3D electromagnetic simulations and optimize power packages and passive components.
Develop and simulate power inductors, transformers, and converter systems.
Provide simulation support to technology and product development teams.
Apply system-level and EM simulation techniques in package development.
Drive new methodologies for EM simulation and power device testing.
Explore innovation opportunities in power simulation techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute technical expertise.
Participate in expert forums and stay updated on simulation technologies.
Required Skills: Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years' experience with ANSYS 3D EM tools (Q3D, Maxwell).
Proficient in simulating power packages, PCBs, and passive components.
Knowledge of power converter architecture and analysis tools (e.g., Simetrix).
Familiarity with ANSYS Icepak (thermal) and HFSS (electrical) simulations.
Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent English communication; German is a plus.
Passion for innovation and simulation methodology development.

As a Senior Power Systems Consultant , you play a critical role in driving the energy transition and in creating a more sustainable future. As part of a global team of motivated and passionate individuals, you leverage your technical background to coordinate technical studies related power transmission, and work closely with our customers to develop customized solutions that improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. You will guide them in selecting optimal solutions, that meet their specific needs, and be integral part of project with real impact on the world.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Leading consulting engagements through completion, aligning and coaching your team from different technical backgrounds within a multi-cultural environment
- Overseeing the execution of analyses of power systems, engagements for transmission and industrial network planning, and grid interconnection studies of large generation, storage and load resources.
- Engaging with clients to work towards successful grid connection requests, highlighting potential risks and commercial implications.
- Supporting the integration of power electronic devices, renewable generation, storage devices, HVDCs, etc. into AC grids (from conceptual studies to project execution).
- Supporting the analyses of high frequency phenomena like harmonic distortion, transient overvoltage, TRV, missing zero-crossings, or inrush currents
- Engaging in business development activities by developing proposals to address our clients’ challenges and putting together the appropriate execution team
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field (Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred)
- Proven experience in conducting power system analysis in steady and transient states
- Proven skills in effectively managing a team of experts
- Expert knowledge in transmission planning and operating studies (100 kV ~ 765 kV), power system performance analyses including load flow, dynamic stability, voltage stability, protection coordination, short-circuit and transfer limits.
- Advanced skills in HVDC and FACTS applications, power transmission systems, industrial power supply concepts, power electronics and renewable generation.
- Experience in power system simulation programs (e.g. PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, DigSilent PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD/EMTDC, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Hands-on expertise in programming tools such as Python, FORTRAN, MATLAB, etc.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

The Infrastructure Platforms team manages all server-related infrastructure and hardware within the datacentres in Clarks, including virtualisation, storage, compute, backup and recovery. We now have an excellent opportunity for someone keen to get experience in a broad range of systems and services. In larger companies, there’s often a narrower focus, but working in the small team we have in Clarks means the role has accountability for many technologies.
This is a great opportunity if you are currently working as an AIX/Linux System Administrator, who is looking to expand your expertise working in a small team supporting IBM Power hardware. You will be working alongside experienced professionals located in the UK to ensure the reliability and performance of our critical systems.
What You'll Do
- Day-to-day activities can vary from remote management of operating systems, performance monitoring and tuning, troubleshooting (often with broad involvement from multiple teams and including out-of-hours support), hardware replacement and maintenance of storage appliances, cabling, and firmware updates. Each day can be very different.
- Support the setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of IBM Power hardware, gaining hands-on experience.
- Perform routine maintenance and firmware management under supervision.
- Assist in AIX and Linux system administration on IBM Power architecture, including basic patching, OS upgrades, and deployment tasks.
- Learn to configure and maintain HMC and VIOS environments.
- Support IBM storage provisioning, snapshot restores, and replication policy maintenance.
- Assist in IBM Workload Scheduler operations and platform maintenance liaising with the batch operations team to ensure the schedule is running smoothly and aiding them where needed.
- Contribute to the maintenance and testing of disaster recovery (DR) procedures with guidance from senior team members.
- Develop your scripting skills in helping to maintain SFTP servers and scripts.
- Develop an understanding of IBM Spectrum Protect backup / recovery operations, including tape library maintenance and disk/tape backups.
What You'll bring with You
- You will have a strong foundation in IT support, including troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, and network issues.
- Ideally 1–3 years of experience in AIX/Linux system administration.
- An interest in expanding your knowledge of IBM Power hardware components and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with server maintenance, networking, and storage solutions is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn, troubleshoot, and contribute to a collaborative environment.

The Role:
We are a looking for a Field Service Engineer specialize in Variable Speed Drives / Power System to make an impact!
What will you do?
- Provide on-site or remote technical supporting during installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and retrofits mainly focusing on Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Variable Speed Drives and Soft-Starters.
- Preform installation works and hands-on testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities inclusive of troubleshooting support during commissioning stages and spare part replacement during repair stages.
- Advise customers on issues related to warranty, spare part management, technical training and maintenance activities throughout the lifecycle for optimum productivity of the equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the Customer Care Centre to handle warranty claims and defects which includes monitoring field complaints, coordinating, investigation, RAC and others.
- Properly document, label, and return all defective parts utilized in the repair of equipment to the designated disposal/repair location.
- Develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise during start-up.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs.
- Assist Schneider Electric Service Partners in site visits, evaluating technical and professional performance.
- When at customer site, look for other business opportunities outside current scope of work and lead them to the sales team
- As Technical support level 2, solve technical issues arise by other field service rep. Escalate to other technical support level within the company when needed
- Investigate remotely the origin of the breakdown and submit fixes (in a service bureau for example)
- Support Consulting Expert, Project Engineer and IOT Integration Digital Execution in all business and operational issues to ensure perfect Business Delivery and Performance.
What qualifications will make you successful?
- Degree in Electrical & Communication Engineering with at least 5 years in services onsite environment.
- Have experience and knowledge with Schneider Altivar products will be preferred.
- Possess experience to troubleshoot protection relays, switchgears and power system products like low and medium voltage, transformers 33kV
- Possess project implementation, testing & commissioning experience is a must
- ENMCS & IMCS system knowledge is an added advantage
- Knowledge in PLC,HMI & SCADA knowledge is an added advantage.
- Able to work 90% time onsite.
- Open to be based in Johor.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Regional Specialty team at Marsh & McLennan Asia Business Services (MMABS) . This role will be based in our Pavilion Damansara Corporate Towers, Kuala Lumpur office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working as per respective team's arrangement.
Risk Engineer - Power Generation / Power Construction
- Plan and execute insurance underwriting surveys for clients and prospects in Asia.
- The work will require planning the survey and travel, leading the survey team which may include underwriter engineers and producing the Underwriting survey reports to the required deadlines.
- The work will involve overseas travel.
- The work will cover (Operational Upstream and Downstream clients and Upstream and Downstream Construction Projects / Operational Power and Power Construction Projects, emphasis on Conventional Power such as Gas Fired, Coal Fired, and Renewable Power such as wind power, PV solar, BESS, hydroelectric, geothermal, and etc
We will count on you to:
- Support the Practice for insurance underwriting surveys outside Asia, GERE and GRETN.
- Conduct Risk Management surveys for clients e.g. multi-national (power / oil) companies.
- Provide technical support to clients and prospects as and when required such as attending client meetings, and seminars and renewal roadshows. For large clients this will require planning and management of the annual survey plan.
- Support the Practice for developing Deep Dive Reviews, Loss Estimations for topics related to Asset Integrity/Inspection, Maintenance, Operations and Process Safety Management.
- Provide support to the Asia Power Practice with collection of risk engineering fees.
- Support the Claims Practice as required/appropriate.
- Attend technical seminars, conferences for Conventional / Renewable Power, Marsh Power risk engineering seminars and GERE team meetings to maintain and develop technical competences.
- Develop thought leadership products such as Position Papers and contributions to the GERE and GRETN Loss Control Newsletter.
- Provide ongoing support and development of GERE and GRETN technical methods and tools such as the Marsh Risk Ranking tool.
- Identify and deliver business development opportunities such as consultancy work for clients and prospects e.g. Power Deep Dive, Loss Estimation, Enterprise Risk Management workshops.
- Support the Energy and Power Practices for tender proposals for clients and prospects.
What you need to have:
- Minimum a Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or similar.
- 5 to 10 years in Power Generation / Power Construction industry with Operational, Technical or Projects focus .
- Strong communication skills – both verbal and written (English).
- Good presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willing to travel frequently.
