What will you work on?
We are presently seeking a Project Manager to become part of CLLS. This position is on a permanent basis, and the work location will be at our Kulai, Johor, Malaysia office.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying and addressing any potential issues.
- Responsible for project administration, coordination, and overall leadership for all marine projects, production, site management & subcontractors on all aspects of installation activities and preparation of drawings and installation details.
- Ensure that all objectives of safety, delivery, completion time, and profitability are met for projects and equipment.
- Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts.
- Liaise and conduct technical meetings with customers, owners, contractors, and internal service teams.
- Study and make recommendations on technical drawings prepared by consultants.
- Monitor and maintain project deliverable quality standards.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure project outcomes meet or exceed expectations.
Education and Experience
- Degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years' experience in a related role
- Well-organized with an aptitude in problem-solving

Thisrole reports to the T&D System Studies Asia Department and can be based in any of our officein India, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, or Indonesia.
Job DescriptionOur T&D Power Systems team assists clients in achieving compliance and efficiency byconducting power systems studies to navigate the design, grid connection and access standardsfor their energy generation and transmission projects. You will become part of a global, tight-knitteam of power systems engineers engaged in diverse projects supporting multiple type ofinternational interconnection and grid connection projects (including solar, wind, hydro, batteryenergy storage, and HVDC interconnectors).
Our team also provides technical assistance to Transmission Grid Operators (TSOs) and utilities,helping the private sector secure crucial grid investments through expert technical support. Thisrole office a unique opportunity to develop your career and play a pivotal role in expanding andshaping our business across Asia for a multinational company, while supporting clients not onlyin Asia but also in Australia, Europe, and Africa.
Responsibility:
- Conduct advanced power system studies (steady-state load flow, short-circuit, anddynamic stability analyses) for generation grid connection projects and transmissionplanning studies (feasibility and design stages). Projects will be primarily across Asia-Pacific, but also in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia.
- Perform detailed power system modeling and simulations for grid integration ofconverter-based resources, including high-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems, renewable energy plants (solar and wind), and battery energy storage systems. Analyzetheir impact on the transmission network, focusing on feasibility studies and compliance with grid requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive technical study reports for a range of clients (energy project developers, utilities, TSOs), from high-level grid connection feasibility studies to in-depthstatic and dynamic study reports. Ensure findings are clearly communicated and meetthe relevant standards and client expectations.
- Conduct complex assessments and provide specialist solutions on power system issues.This may include performing generator or converter model validations, stability improvement strategies, and proposing mitigation measures for network constraints. Youwill also deliver technical presentations and training to internal teams and externalclients, sharing knowledge on topics such as HVDC integration, grid stability, andemerging technologies (e.g. HVDC links, STATCOMs, and grid-forming inverter technologies).
- Contribute to project execution by leading or coordinating complex study tasks,especially those involving converter-based resources.
- Deliver high-quality outputs within agreed formats and timelines. As a senior engineer,review and validate the work of junior engineers when necessary, providing mentorshipand technical guidance to uphold quality and accuracy.
- Engage in continuous professional development and industry activities. This includesattending or presenting at conferences, participating in industry forums, and staying upto date with the latest developments in power system simulation tools and grid integration technologies to continually enhance our service offerings.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems or related field).
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in power system modeling and analysis for gridconnections and transmission projects. This should include hands-on experience withgeneration interconnection feasibility studies, transmission planning, and network stability assessments, ideally in a utility/TSO or power engineering consultancy environment.
- Proven knowledge and experience on performing complex transmission power systemstudies such as: steady state analysis, short circuit analysis, transient stability analysis,generator model validation. Any additional experience on the following fields is beneficial:electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulations, cable design, protection coordination andrelay settings studies, harmonic analysis, small signal stability, adequacy studies andprobabilistic approaches.
- Proven experience in modeling and integrating HVDC systems and inverter-basedresources into transmission networks, with a focus on assessing their feasibility andimpact on grid stability. Familiarity with emerging grid-forming converter technologies and their application in renewable energy integration is beneficial.
- Experience working closely with or within transmission utilities/TSOs on interconnectionprojects or advanced grid studies (e.g. cross-border interconnectors, renewable energyintegration, large-scale battery storage projects).
- Familiar with international grid codes and standards (e.g. IEC, IEEE) relevant to
transmission planning and grid connection requirements. - Strong proficiency in power system simulation software Siemens PSSE is essential.
Experience with additional power system analysis tools such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory
and/or PSCAD (in particular for electromagnetic transient studies or detailed converter
modeling). Ability to automate studies using Python scripting is beneficial. - Ability to manage tasks effectively under time and resource constraints, delivering results

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team at a gas-to-power facility utilizing aero-derivative or industrial gas turbines. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of turbine and balance-of-plant (BoP) control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations, including support for power plants running on natural gas or liquid fuel

Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain turbine control systems (GE Mark VIe, Woodward, or similar) and auxiliary control systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve control system faults and operational issues during startup, shutdown, and normal operation.
- Implement modifications and upgrades to PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems to improve reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with OEMs and vendors for commissioning, upgrades, and fault resolution.
- Support first-fire, FSNL, and other critical commissioning events.
- Maintain thorough documentation of logic changes, system configurations, and troubleshooting records.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety protocols and industry standards.
- Provide training and technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with control systems in power generation facilities, specifically those operating on natural gas or liquid fuel using aero-derivative or industrial turbine generators.
- Proven experience with GE Mark VIe, Woodward, or similar turbine control systems.
- Strong background in PLC, SCADA, and HMI programming, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- In-depth knowledge of turbine start-up/shutdown logic, first-fire, FSNL, and BoP systems.
- Proficiency in diagnostics and troubleshooting of control system faults and operational anomalies.
- Experience implementing and documenting logic changes and system upgrades.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
- Competency in using engineering tools for control system programming and simulation.
- Thorough understanding of plant safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry best practices in power generation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with OEMs, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
