Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of administrative and clerical support tasks for the manufacturing department.
• Responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of inventory counts, records, and reports.
• Conducts manufacturing transactions in Oracle and InSite (Camstar).
• Creates, revises and maintains manufacturing documents such as MPIs, labels, SOPs, materials, training documentations, etc with the help of engineering or with supervision.
• Performs word processing, or typing to prepare correspondence, reports, statistical data and other forms.
• May act as liaison between departments for coordinating R&D, Engineering, and experimental builds; responsible for filing and data archiving of these builds.
• Conducts regular audits of manufacturing documents to ensure up-to-date versions and records are kept.
• May conduct training and time studies of manufacturing processes.
• This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements:

• Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience
• High School diploma/certificate or equivalent
• Basic computer knowledge with Excel & Microsoft word application knowledge

This full-time Manufacturing Engineer position at Amphenol TCS (M) Sdn Bhd is based in Bukit Minyak, Penang. As a key member of the team, you will play an integral role in driving manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Maintain & troubleshoot any technical problem in production line
• To improve production efficiency by planning and analyze process performance, workflow, capacity, space requirements and equipment layout.
• Handles & follow up on product ECN/DN
• Handles product from other site to Malaysia in the areas of detailed parts drawing, assembly drawing and preparation of Bill of materials and etc.

• To ensure all production activities and process comply with ISO standards and mandatory regulations

• Drive SCN/ECO deliverables from Initial stage to closure & manufacturing implementation.
• Generate, review and reject or approve SCN/CAF/ECO/test protocols/reports.
• Generate Agile ECO SPN (Specification Package Notification) to external contract manufacturers.
• Perform OH stocks, Production Impact date, Last Time Buy analysis for EOL components.
• Perform presentation to cross region, cross functional teams & route DR for approvals in Agile.
• Review/update manufacturing working instruction/ BOM in Agile system.
• Work closely with Haemonetics R&D, Quality, Sourcing, RA and contract manufacturers to solve or de-risk manufacturing day to day challenges.
• Able to document and report activities with appropriate amount of precision with data driven mentality.
• Carryout any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's /master's degree of Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• Min 2-3 years working experiences in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering or equivalent. Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates who demonstrated experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas will be given strong consideration:
• Familiarity with the Agile system and related methodologies.
• Proficiency in basic statistical tools, as well as experience with Six Sigma and LEAN manufacturing principles.
• Experience in the development and/or production of Class I, II, or III medical devices.
• Comprehensive understanding of medical device manufacturing standards, including but not limited to:

· Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R)

· First Article Inspection (FAI)

· Preparation and execution of IQ/OQ/PQ protocols and reports

· Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Capability Analysis

· Application of Six Sigma methodologies for problem-solving

Responsibilities:

Product Quotation Request (PQR)

• Assessing project feasibility through product drawing and B.O.M review. (including built cycle time, avaibility of tools & equipment, non-recurring engineering (NRE) cost etc.)
• Set up the bill of materials (B.O.M) for the request for quotation (RFQ) stage in the Agile system.

Receive Customer Request Form (CRF)

• Establishing System Bill of Materials (B.O.M)
• Maintaining routing in SAP system
• Reviewing and preparing digital harness board drawing
• Reviewing and submitting Technical Queries (TQ)
• Managing project needs with customers, suppliers, and vendors.

FAI Sample Preparation

• Handle all technical queries (TQ) related to sample build.
• Ensure readiness of OI/CP/FMEA/General standards in the Agile system.
• Generate Control Plans (CP) and conduct Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
• Prepare and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) for customer approval
• Implement engineering changes (ECR/ECN) after sample preparation.

Others

• Provide regular reports on engineering-related key performance indicators (KPIs) and other KPIs assigned by Management on a weekly and monthly basis to both the departmental Head of Department (HOD) and the corporate office.
• Fulfill any additional responsibilities as directed by the HOD or direct superior as needed.
• Take the initiative to launch improvement projects or activities that aim to expedite engineering tasks.

Requirements:

• Applicants must possess at least a degree in Electrical & Electronic/Mechanical field of qualification.
• Fresh graduates or individuals with working experience in the Manufacturing Industry are strongly encouraged to apply.
