The System Administrator for iSeries is responsible for the system administration and technical support of the iSeries (IBM i) infrastructure, including the implementation, enhancement, maintenance, and administration of IT applications and systems supporting the Provident Fund System (PFS) Back End and its components. This role requires close collaboration with system users, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, effective system performance, and reliable operations within the iSeries environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

System Implementation and Enhancements

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EPF’s iSeries-based PFS Back End Systems and technical domains.
• Analyze existing iSeries application and infrastructure requirements to plan for functional and technical enhancements.
• Lead, manage, and participate in the end-to-end execution of iSeries-related projects and change requests.
• Develop and maintain system documentation specific to iSeries, including Technical Operation Manuals, Guidelines, ‘Arahan Kerja’, and performance reports.

System Maintenance and Administration

• Administer, monitor, and optimize the iSeries (IBM i) platform, including system configuration, work management, job scheduling, storage management, replication & journaling, and security controls within the EPF network.
• Coordinate system maintenance tasks including software upgrades, backup configuration, and performance tuning.
• Ensure all iSeries systems are current and compliant with software/security patching, technology refresh, vulnerability remediation, and operational bug fixes.

Technical Support and Incident Response

• Diagnose and resolve iSeries-related incidents, job errors, system alerts, and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Provide continuous system support and incident response, applying structured problem-solving and change management processes.
• Involved in IBM i OS upgrades and infrastructure upgrade projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration support
• Coordinate deployment activities and configuration changes related to iSeries platform upgrades and software rollouts.

Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

• Maintain and ensure readiness of the iSeries disaster recovery (DR) environment, including high availability, backup verification, and DR documentation.
• Participate in all phases of disaster recovery testing and simulation activities, including planning, preparation, execution, and post-evaluation reviews.

Technical Support Assistance and Ad-Hoc Tasks

• Support the integration of iSeries systems with other applications or enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams in support of Application Infra Support Unit responsibilities.
• Prepare and deliver technical documentation, incident reports, presentation slides, or other deliverables for iSeries environments when needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of IBM i operating system, including job control, CL scripting, SQL, BRMS, system security, and storage management, as well as experience supporting SAP infrastructure and integration.
• Good understanding of integration with Windows, Linux, virtualization platforms, or open-source tools is beneficial.
• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure components such as firewalls, security appliances, backups, storage systems, and cloud-based storage.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Melayu
• Exposure in handling tender documentation, contract renewals, and procurement-related paperwork is an added advantage.

Qualifications:

• Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including an oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
• Bachelor’s degree (Honors) or master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent which is recognized by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
• Certifications in IBM i (iSeries/AS400) administration, operations, or CL programming are an added advantage.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in iSeries system administration, hardware knowledge, infrastructure architecture, and infrastructure operation and maintenance.
• Able to commute to the office in Kwasa Damansara.
• Able to work outside office hours when required, during on-call standby roster.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Systems Administrator to play a key role in the design, development, and documentation of our on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft Azure environment. This role requires deep technical expertise in AD, Azure AD, Intune/Entra, Microsoft Defender, SaaS administration, endpoint security, and cloud automation, along with a knowledge of networking. This position will work closely with the Solutions Architect to ensure systems and technologies are aligned with the group strategy ensuring alignment and scalability.

This role forms part of a re-alignment of technical skills within the team. This position is hands-on, focusing on architecting, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions while ensuring compliance with enterprise change control processes and regulations. Strong technical documentation skills, experience in network security, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are key to success. Key Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and optimize on-premises servers and storage to ensure high availability and performance. Design, deploy, and maintain hybrid IT environments integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services. Configure and administer Azure services, including Azure Entra ID, Privileged Access Management, Office 365, Virtual Machines, Azure Monitoring and storage solutions. Ensure security best practices across hybrid environments, including encryption, and compliance with organizational policies Perform configuration and setup activities such as developing and implementing templates for server builds, setting permissions and rules (e.g., privileged account access management/PIM), work with Network and Applications personnel to assist with system/application/services into a cloud platform. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to connectivity and performance between on-premises and Azure systems. Monitor and enhance the security of current and future Azure environments and evaluate scaling and capacity requirements. Strong knowledge of on-premises and cloud infrastructure (Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, Active Directory).

Strong knowledge of Backup, Restore, Recovery and high availability strategies for Microsoft Azure and on-prem environments.

·

Strong knowledge of IaaS and PaaS.

Windows Server and SQL database creation, configuration, upgrade, migration and patching

·

Ability to identify and troubleshoot Azure server and SQL database related CPU, memory, I/O, diskspace and other resources.

It offers a fully integrated testing system that includes test development, test delivery and data management capabilities. On behalf of 600 current clients in the academic, professional, government, corporate and information technology markets, Prometric develops and/or delivers assessments through a global network of testing centers in 132 countries as well as direct to candidates via the Web Prometric is seeking highly motivated, system administrator to handle daily functions. The administrator functions include backup checks, restoring data, building VM servers, daily production support, monthly Microsoft security patching and software deployments. The candidate will work one evening shift in support of the global teams of Production Support, System Engineering and development. Candidates will be asked to work weekends for monthly security patching, production deployments and on-call support. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

: Build and maintain a variety of operating systems VM servers to include Microsoft and Linux. · Troubleshoot systems to include hardware, software, and applications utilizing standard Microsoft toolsets.

· Perform installations of in-house applications based on standard release notes.

Perform monthly Microsoft security patching to all environments. Perform daily backup checks of all production environments and correct if there are issues. On request, restore data from backups. Communicate effectively with co-workers and outside representatives. Execute ongoing procedures for upgrades to servers, applications and networks, inclusive of patching and configuration changes necessary for server hardening. Deploy internally developed software in test and production environments. Provide on call support after standard business hours and be available for weekend software deployments into the production environment. When needed, assist the Cyber Security team in checking daily lists. REQUIREMENTS

Applicant MUST be fluent in English. Working knowledge of data center operations, network operations, network management, network protocols, infrastructure design and implementation, client/server architecture and application security. Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMWare). Understanding of enterprise authentication systems, particularly Microsoft Active Directory. Minimum three years of System Administration experience in the IT field supporting Windows systems. Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong adherence to and understanding of change control process. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Team player and able to work effectively in a group environment. Motivated self-starter willing to take on ownership of systems and projects. This individual will provide technical support for Weblogic, TOMCAT, Apache, and MQ systems, ensuring optimal performance, troubleshooting issues, and assisting in server and application management. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of web application servers and messaging queue systems, along with the drive to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
