Job Objectives

Data Lost Prevention Analyst is an operational role within UOB's Group Security Operations Center. The incumbent will be responsible for the continuous monitoring, analyzing, and investigating of insider threats and data leakage incidents. He/She must have good analytical and investigative skills to recognize and detect anomalous behavior.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the DLP monitoring function to ensure protection of sensitive financial and customer data.
• Design and enforce DLP policies aligned with banking regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, PDPA, GDPR).
• Oversee incident response for data leakage involving customer PII, financial records, or insider threats.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and IT Security teams on investigations and audits.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and recommend enhancements to DLP strategy and tooling and automation integration.
• Report DLP metrics and incidents to senior management and regulatory bodies as required.
• Mentor and guide the DLP monitoring team, ensuring continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Required Skillsets

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, with 2+ years in DLP or data protection in financial institutions.
• Deep understanding of banking regulations and data classification standards.
• Experience with enterprise DLP platforms (e.g., McAfee, Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint).
• Familiarity with insider threat detection, endpoint protection, and SIEM integration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC.

JOB SUMMARY

Support the business in maintaining data loss prevention controls to monitor, detect and prevent unauthorized access and/or distribution of data. Protect the Bank's digital information from unauthorized access or theft. This role required technical skills in managing solutions.

11. Improve information security documentation and develop a set of best practices for the data protection program.
12. Contribute to the preparation of reports to various management committees.
13. Research and evaluate new solutions to provide recommendations in keeping the company's systems up to date with current threats and trends.
14. Manages SLA and contract renewals with solution vendors.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• At least 7 years' experience in Technology.
• 5 years working experience with data security or related domain.
• Expertise in at least 2 of these solutions; PAM, DLP, DAM, SWG, Cryptography.
• Experience in working in a regulated environment such as Financial Services.
• Good understanding of general IT and network security.
• Certifications desired; CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.
• Ability to anticipate problems, identify solutions and address issues creatively.
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize work in an organized manner and to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with peers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

The Security Engineer will support the day to day operations and development of the bank security suite of products with key objective in designing, developing, deploying, maintaining and enhancing the Bank’s Data Security capabilities which includes but is not limited to Data Loss Prevention (DLP), E-Mail Encryption and Operations.

• Support a wide array of security solutions and infrastructure deployed within the bank for Data Security
• Transform business data security requirements to effective rules with consideration of operational impact
• Product research and define requirements for new projects, perform product evaluation and technical Proof of Concept
• Propose, develop, test and manage Data Security solutions, system and infrastructure changes, upgrades, troubleshooting, patch and improvements
• Drive upgrades and migration to ensure Data Security solutions and/or related platforms are maintained in tip-top working conditions with proper documentation and RCA
• Conduct regression testing on new data security rules, use cases and enhancements
• Manage and coordinate change process engagement with regards to current Data Security solutions
• Automation development on existing processes and develop contextual data sets, reports and dashboards to provide management and service insights
• Provide support for all Audit and Regulatory requests

• Education: Diploma/Degree in engineering/Computer Science/IT/Cyber Security from a recognized educational institution
• Data Security product certifications will be favorable although not mandatory

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in managing and deploying Data Security technologies
• Knowledgeable with the variety of Data Security technologies and aware of industry trends and best practices
• Familiar with open systems (e.g., Windows, Unix, Linux), networking technologies (routers/firewalls), end user technologies (Windows, iOS, Android) and endpoint management platforms (MDM) in relation to Data Security
• Knowledgeable with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, M365, GCP) in relation to Data Security
• Knowledgeable with cryptographic standards and secure data transmission methodologies
