Job Description

As an Associate in our Malaysia based Investment Banking team, you will be a key player in our business origination and execution across investment banking products from M&A to equity and debt capital markets. You will participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal committee memoranda and client presentations. You will play a leadership role in implementing the execution function including working with analysts and other associates, as well as assisting more senior bankers.   • Interacting with senior team members and client management teams to execute transactions and identifying and managing all risks in a given deal

During the summer you will be placed within one of our industry, country or product coverage teams. Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of Commercial Banking clienteles (Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Energy & Chemicals) for their domestic banking needs as well as target regional opportunities with the clienteles’ regional subsidiaries / diversifications
  • Broaden the corporate customer base with the team
  • Provide total banking solutions to both existing / new clienteles
  • Market, originate and complete deals with product partners, e.g. Global Markets, Investment Banking, Transaction Banking, etc. closely
  • Deliver both in terms of speed and quality for all KPIs assigned
Requirements
  • A recognised Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or Business-Related Studies
  • Independent, reliable and meticulous in work approach
  • Flexible, as significant extended hours may be required during specific negotiations and transactions
  • Strong analytical and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Committed, confident, determined, self-motivated and a team player
