Position Overview
This role is responsible for managing and ensuring the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-quality IT infrastructure and IT security services for the organization in line with the Centre of Competence (CoC) framework. The position is essential for maintaining smooth day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with both internal policies and external regulatory standards, and upholding the highest benchmarks across IT infrastructure, IT security, and information security activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee IT infrastructure, including servers, networking devices, cabling, and datacenters, while ensuring compliance with NIST frameworks.
- Oversee daily IT operations following ITIL practices (incident, change, patch, and asset management), as well as network and datacenter administration, vendor coordination, and continuity planning.
- Lead and support IT infrastructure, IT security, and information security initiatives, ensuring alignment with business requirements or central IT team (CoC) strategies.
- Act as the primary local contact for IT infrastructure and security-related matters.
- Provide backup support for both front-end and back-end IT operations when necessary.
- Carry out ad-hoc tasks and projects as delegated by the line manager.
Required Experience and Competencies
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' practical experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, and support.
- Strong knowledge of computing systems, networks, hardware, and enterprise applications.
- Proficiency in managing Windows Server, Windows clients, Active Directory, and Intune.
- Expertise in key infrastructure technologies, including:
- Firewalls (Cisco ASA), IPS, VPNs, Proxy, NAC (Cisco ISE), VoIP (Cisco/Avaya).
- Network protocols (VLAN, STP, LACP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.).
- Backup systems (Veeam), SAN storage, and disaster recovery solutions.
