We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Operations Engineer to manage and maintain our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing robust network infrastructures—including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and cloud networks—to ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and security. This includes monitoring network health and capacity, troubleshooting Tier2/3 incidents under SLA, applying firmware updates, and executing change-control procedures. The role involves enforcing security policies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs), maintaining comprehensive documentation and network diagrams, collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams on projects and outages, and planning for disaster recovery and business continuity. Strong in protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark). Public Cloud exposure/hands-on and certifications like CCNA/CCNP or any others are added advantages.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Configuration, Deployment and Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance—patching hardware/software, firmware updates, and system health checks.
2. Monitoring, Performance and Capacity
- Provide reports and analysis of network monitoring, performance and capacity on a monthly basis or as required.
3. Incident Response and Troubleshooting
- Provide L2/L3 support; diagnose and resolve network incidents within defined SLA

4. Security and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards through periodic reviews and assessments.
5. Change and Capacity Management

6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
- Create and Maintain detailed documentation; but not limited to network diagrams/configuration logs, runbooks, and capacity records.
- Ability to hold knowledge sharing sessions for the team
7. Vendor and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective deliverables.
- Works throughout the entire organization, leveraging other resources for knowledge, skillsets and assistance in the diagnostic process
8. Upgrades, Optimizations and Projects
- Provide network support; discussions and participation in technical workshops for internal and external projects/ initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective deliverables.
- Works throughout the entire organization, leveraging other resources for knowledge, skillsets and assistance in diagnostic process
- Identify and propose improvements throughout business processes, systems, and platforms.
9. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
- Plan and test network DR processes, back/ up restore configurations and maintain fallback connectivity
- Create and maintain DR Runbook
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Malaysian citizen.
- Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including an oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science/ information technology or equivalent which is recognized by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT Network Operations.
- In depth knowledge in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, VPN, QoS, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, NetFlow; proficiency managing routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, public cloud networking
- CCNA/ CCNP or any other Networking Certifications are an added advantage
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills and ability to work together in a team environment.
- Hands-on experience for Routing/ Switching, Firewalls, Load Balancers
- Hands-on experience in networking within Public Cloud is an added advantage
- Ability to conduct technical assessments and POCs.
- Advisory skills for new integrations and tools.

Job Title: Senior Network Operations Analyst
Reports to: IT Senior Manager – Network Engineering and Operations
Department: AVEVA IT Infrastructure and Operations
Job Purpose
The Senior Network Operations Analyst provides Tier-2 support for AVEVA’s global IP networks. The candidate will work closely with IT Network Engineers to provide support AVEVA’s network and network security services, including LAN, WAN, WiFi, firewalls, load balancers, cloud networking and many other. This position provides a terrific opportunity to gain experience working with large enterprise scale IP networking and cyber security infrastructures.
Responsibilities – You will do:
The individual will be involved in the following critical activities:
Monitor ServiceNow incident tickets.
Review Network Monitoring dashboards to monitor network health and respond to network alerts.
Respond to service requests submitted by end users. Review and assign requests to other team members or, where appropriate, implement the requested service.
Perform software upgrades on network devices.
Troubleshoot and resolve network and application problems.
Contact and work with Internet Service Providers on network circuit issues.
Escalate problems to Tier-3 network engineers.
Implement scheduled changes planned by network engineering.
Work closely with end users, IT service desk and incident management teams to manage incidents.
Update CMDB data and network documents.
Provide 24x7 network support coverage as a member of AVEVA’s network team. We rely on a follow-the-sun model and split coverage between two teams located in the Americas region and APAC region, including on weekends.
Work assigned tasks with network engineering to deliver IT projects.
Help mentor junior level Network Operations Analysts.
Requirements – You will have:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field, or equivalent training such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP training.
At least three years of IP network operations support or similar work experience.
Knowledge of LAN, WAN and WiFi technologies and protocols.
Good understanding of networking concepts, including routing and switching, and topics covered in Cisco CCNA.
Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
Experience with MS Windows operating system, including troubleshooting.
Familiar with Apple iOS or Android OS.
Experience working with Service Management software such as ServiceNow or other similar platforms.
Experience working and interacting with end users to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel and Visio.
Strong work ethics and a desire to learn.

The successful candidate should possess:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a IT or Computer Science field, complemented by relevant professional certifications.
2. Approximately 8 to 10 years of extensive, hands-on experience in Network WAN/LAN with a focus on Security technology, along with operational experience in an ISP setting, particularly within the Banking and Financial Services Industry or in a RIM role managing large enterprise environments.
3. Demonstrated capability to effectively manage the expectations of a diverse range of stakeholders.
4. Subject Matter Expert (SME) level technical and analytical skills, with a strong background in root cause analysis and network performance optimization.
5. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear articulation of ideas to stakeholders, from engineers to senior management.
6. Experience collaborating with cross-border teams, ideally within the Banking and Financial Services sector.
7. Strong time management abilities and a commitment to excellent customer service.
8. Proficient in engaging and communicating with external clients and various internal teams.
9. Strong interpersonal skills.
10. Cultural awareness to understand varying business expectations across different cultural contexts.
11. Industry certifications, specifically CCNP or equivalent, are essential.
Following Skills are highly desired at deep technical level:
1. Familiarity with Software Defined Infrastructure, particularly the Cisco ACI Platform or VMware NSX, is preferred.
2. Experience with Switching/Routing (WAN & LAN) technologies, especially Cisco, VMware, Juniper, is preferred.
3. Knowledge of Security Platforms, including FortiGate, VMware DFW, Juniper SRX, Cisco ASA Firewalls is preferred.

Job Title: Senior Network Operations Analyst
Reports to: IT Senior Manager – Network Engineering and Operations
Department: AVEVA IT Infrastructure and Operations
Job Purpose
The Senior Network Operations Analyst provides Tier-2 support for AVEVA’s global IP networks. The candidate will work closely with IT Network Engineers to provide support AVEVA’s network and network security services, including LAN, WAN, WiFi, firewalls, load balancers, cloud networking and many other. This position provides a terrific opportunity to gain experience working with large enterprise scale IP networking and cyber security infrastructures.
Responsibilities – You will do:
The individual will be involved in the following critical activities:
- Monitor ServiceNow incident tickets.
- Review Network Monitoring dashboards to monitor network health and respond to network alerts.
- Respond to service requests submitted by end users. Review and assign requests to other team members or, where appropriate, implement the requested service.
- Perform software upgrades on network devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and application problems.
- Contact and work with Internet Service Providers on network circuit issues.
- Escalate problems to Tier-3 network engineers.
- Implement scheduled changes planned by network engineering.
- Work closely with end users, IT service desk and incident management teams to manage incidents.
- Update CMDB data and network documents.
- Provide 24x7 network support coverage as a member of AVEVA’s network team. We rely on a follow-the-sun model and split coverage between two teams located in the Americas region and APAC region, including on weekends.
- Work assigned tasks with network engineering to deliver IT projects.
- Help mentor junior level Network Operations Analysts.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field, or equivalent training such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP training.
- At least three years of IP network operations support or similar work experience.
- Knowledge of LAN, WAN and WiFi technologies and protocols.
- Good understanding of networking concepts, including routing and switching, and topics covered in Cisco CCNA.
- Experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
- Experience with MS Windows operating system, including troubleshooting.
- Familiar with Apple iOS or Android OS.
- Experience working with Service Management software such as ServiceNow or other similar platforms.
- Experience working and interacting with end users to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel and Visio.
- Strong work ethics and a desire to learn.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field highly desirable
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP level hands-on knowledge
- Scripting and programming skills such as Python and PowerShell
- Security knowledge, especially with firewalls
- Familiarity with Linux and MacOS
- Public Cloud networking
