Responsibilities:
- Supervise shift personnel, including Process Technicians, Boilermen, and Lab Technicians, to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Monitor and optimize process parameters to meet production targets and improve efficiency.
- Ensure product quality compliance by working closely with the Lab team and addressing process deviations.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, respond to process upsets, and make real-time decisions to maintain plant stability.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Lead shift handovers, report operational issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate shift reports, production records, and compliance documentation.
- Participate in safety briefings, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Support process improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize energy consumption.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process operations, preferably in biodiesel, oleochemical, petrochemical, or refinery plants.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a shift-based production environment.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) is an advantage.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Willing to work on a shift basis and be based in Port Dickson.
