Department Overview
Rapid Prototyping Lab activities focus on physical realization technologies and associated engineering services to create high-quality prototypes and samples. Fabricate and assemble materials and components using various types of machinery and hand tools, including 3D Printing, CNC Machining, Silicon Rubber Molding, Laser Engraving, Sanding, Buffing, Sewing, and Modelmaking. Our goal is to provide a substantial competitive advantage for Motorola Solutions by helping to ensure on-time testing and evaluation of new products and rapid resolution of current product issues.
Job Description
Assist Prototyping Lab in all creation phases, from sample construction, and assembly to product. Creation of physical prototypes through Urethane Vacuum Casting, CNC Machining, Model Making & etc. Hands-on CNC machining from 3D CAD, CAM programming, CNC machine setup until the finished product. Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot errors with mechanical equipment. Continuously increase knowledge of the latest technological trends in rapid prototyping and post-processing of parts. Increase the speed and efficiency of processes by eliminating non-value-adding steps and try to execute ‘right the first time’
Basic Requirements
Diploma/Advanced in Product Design/Bachelor’s degree, CNC CAD/CAM, Mechanical Engineering, Model Making or related field Minimum 2 years experience in CNC milling machine and Urethane Vacuum Casting experience in consumer product preferred Strong familiarity and proficiency with PTC Creo 3D Parametric, Creo Parametric Manufacturing for CNC preferred, and other 2D/3D CAD will be an added advantage. Able to work independently to meet targets Must have strong attention to detail. Experience working in a Prototyping Lab environment using a variety of tools and machinery. Must provide a link to a portfolio or digital examples of your work when applying.

- Responsible for design and development of highly sophisticated communications products for professional and mission critical markets. Specifically, the role is an Mechanical HW engineer to develop Mechanical Sub-Systems to meet stringent MIL-STD / ETSI Specifications. This includes bi-material processing development in areas of battery door design, back housing design, etc.
- Ability to work with a team of highly qualified engineers to generate the overall design concept for the mechanical system to meet the safety thermal requirements for product specific which may include detailed design of the mechanical components using CAD tool i.e plastic parts, sheet metal stampings, castings, rubber and elastomers.
- Familiar with integrating process between Electrical Hardware and Software team, in particular Electro-Mechanical components that require hardware and software controls during the period of product development.

Bayan Lepas, Penang . As a Senior/Mechanical Design R&D Engineer, You will: Author and update controlled drawings (pack out, Step file, etc.), design change, correction of instruction in Agile. Perform design of electro-mechanical part (brackets, stiffeners, faceplates, heat-sink etc.) and product packaging. Sourcing and work with part suppliers throughout the prototype verification in a fast-paced mode. Submit ECO approval for the prototype design and record change to start fabrication of first article samples. Work with the Manufacturing team and part suppliers throughout the tooling modification during first article sample preparation. Coordinate construction of first articles for the new packaging until drop test completion. Coordinate construction of PPAP report new mechanical parts. Design, assemble and maintain functional test hardware for production usage. Review and evaluate vendors performance to fabricate tooling or to carry out low-cost changes. What skills and experiences are we looking: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Strong knowledge in mechanism or automation design, minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an engineering role. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge on FPGA background would be a plus.

Professional Recruiter at Infinecs Systems Sdn. Bhd.Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- You will be participating in the leading-edge System-On-a-Chip (SoC) design projects using cutting- edge process technology nodes for various client applications.
- Ideate, develop, and execute physical design solutions: floorplan, placement, routing, cell sizing, buffering, logic restructuring to improve timing and power.
- Participate in design/architecture reviews to track design milestones.
- Evaluate and deploy the evolving physical design methodologies to handle increasingly complex SoC/IP designs within aggressive, market-driven schedules.
- Active participation in benchmarking of library, technology parameters, and implementation strategy to enable design requirements of die size, power & speed.
- Actively work as part of a team both locally and with remote or multi-site teams.
- Actively assists full chip timing constraints development, full chip Static Timing Analysis, and timing signoff for a complex, multi-clock, multi-voltage SoC.
- Analyze and incorporate advance timing signoff flows (SSTA, LOCV Based STA, IR Drop aware STA) into SoC timing signoff flow.
- Active participation to enhance the flow from the front end (pre-layout) to the back end (post-layout) at both chip level and block level.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any related discipline.
- Good understanding of Digital Logic, VHDL/RTL representation, Verilog
- Good scripting skills in Perl, Tcl, Python to handle and optimize CAD automation flow
- Experience with Synopsys EDA tools: Fusion Compiler, Primetime, IC Validator, VC Low-Power
- Experience with Cadence EDA tools: Innovus, Tempus, Virtuoso, Conformal Low-Power
Additional Skills:
- Experience in advance FinFET process nodes and below (16nm, 12nm, 7nm, 5nm, 3nm), including low-power methodology
- Expertise in analyzing and converging crosstalk delay, noise glitch, and electrical/manufacturing rules in deep-sub-micron processes.
- Hands-on experience in full-chip or sub-chip Static Timing Analysis, timing constraints management, and timing closure.
