Your tasks

As a mechanical design engineer at PEC, you will have the exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies for battery testing equipment and production lines. You will be:

• Part of a global cross functional team with mechanical, software, electronic and automation engineers.
• Reporting to the Mechanical Design lead.
• Responsible for the mechanical design of your assigned projects, from initial concept and pre-design to installation and the successful delivery of the machine.

Primary Duties:

Specific Functions & Tasks

• Develop and propose design concepts for the next generation of Remote Weapons Systems

• Prepare and review all documentation required to support designs.

Required Qualifications & Experience

You will be a detail-oriented problem solver and can work collaboratively with others. You demonstrate sound pragmatism and judgement and deep technical knowledge, capable of being adaptive to adjust the engineering effort based on priority changes.

You will ideally have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Post graduate qualifications in Engineering highly desirable.

Reporting directly to the team leader, you will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the company, actively participate in all phases of the project, including requirement definition, design, development, research, fabrication, testing/integration, customer interface, maintenance, safety, and economic utilization in the manufacture of VAT products.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Good product knowledge including design, machining, assembly, and the surrounding processes.

• Lead the technical aspects of relocation and customization projects by turning customer-specific requests into deliveries.

Mechanical Design Engineer

who will be part of application solution team focus on product & solution development, familiar with manufacturing process on steel metal fabrication Your Tasks: Generate concepts and develop detailed designs for entrance system product Generate 3D models for design review and verification. Generate manufacturing drawing and BOM list for manufacturing purpose Prepare mockup and prototype for design review and verification Prepare manual for the purpose of assembly, operating and maintenance Produce test plan to verify the design Develop customized design base on existing product for special project Review and evaluate design specification with customers. Liaise with vendor to solve the problem during fabrication Work closely with sales team, production team and procurement to successfully deliver project Your Skills: Working experience: Junior – Minimum 2 years working experience Senior – Minimum 5 years working experience Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Familiar with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Desig n for Assembly (D FA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), stac k up tolerance analysis t echniques, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing Familiarity in Design Process (Feasibility Study, Conceptual Design, Design Review, Verification, Validation etc) up to Production realization. Must be familiar with manufacturing process of sheet metal fabrication. Familiar with any following manufacturing process will be an advantage: die casting, injection molding, aluminum & rubber extrusion and 3D printing. Proficient with 3D and 2D CAD design software, preferable Solidworks and Draftsight Experience with testing, reliability, and qualification of product Able to work hands-on and manage project deliverables individually. Excellent problem-solving skills. Possess good coordination skills and communication skills Positive mindset and able to work as a team. Able to multi-task Able to work in a fast-paced environment Good spoken and written English skills. Able to speak and write in Mandarin and German will be an advantage.
