Job Description Workshop Supervisor – Job Scope Project / Work Orders
  • Lead, coordinate, and supervise the team of technicians and fitters.
  • Organize workshop and prepare project items for execution of work orders to meet a minimum output target of 90% each month based on workshop factory fitting assembly work orders planning.
  • Communicate and liaise closely with Customer Service Team for the timely execution and completion of work orders before the ship date.
  • Update Sales CS Team if any issues arise that could impact order completion or shipping dates.
  • Ensure fitting tools and consumables are recorded, inventory is maintained, and items are kept in good condition.
Safety
  • Apply and practice all activities in the workshop in compliance with HSE standards as specified by the Group safety policy or local safety regulations.
  • Manage and supervise subcontractors to ensure safety compliance during work/testing in the workshop.
  • Conduct risk assessments and follow safe operating procedures.
  • Stop any unsafe activities.
Workshop
  • Develop and implement best practices for jobs/projects.
  • Improve factory fitting assembly processes to enhance quality and workshop efficiency.
  • Acquire and print relevant technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals for reference.
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Consult with Application Engineering/technical staff as needed.
  • Rebuild or repair faulty assemblies to meet quality and operational standards.
  • Manage manpower, subcontractors, and interns.
  • Provide training to technicians to develop a skilled workforce.
  • Assist warehouse team with stock takes and receiving goods when needed.
  • Suggest operational improvements to management.
  • Set performance goals and communicate expectations.
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external parties.
Quality
  • Supervise technicians to ensure final products meet quality standards and client requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and supervision within the workshop.
  • Manage quality issues and NCR complaints.
  • Generate FAT reports and videos, and archive project files.
  • Rectify or repair assemblies to meet end application requirements.
  • Improve actuation system quality through process enhancements.
Continuous Improvement, Lean, 5S, and Housekeeping

This position primarily works in an office and manufacturing/production environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Knowledge and experience in CGMP requirements and preferably FDA and ISO medical device requirements. Experience with electrical/optical products. Education: B achelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience. Physical Requirements/Work Environment: This position primarily works in an office and manufacturing/production environment. It requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary, so the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license is required. The physical demands of the position described herein are essential functions of the job and employees must be able to successfully perform these tasks for extended periods. About The Role

As a

Production Supervisor , you’ll play a key role in driving a safe, high-performing, and collaborative environment within our controlled environment room. Your leadership will directly impact our ability to meet production schedules, maintain high-quality standards, and deliver consistent results.

What You'll Do

Lead the team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals by setting clear objectives and organizing tasks effectively. Provide hands-on support and coaching to team members, ensuring they have the tools and training to succeed. Promote a positive and engaging workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute. Supervise and track production processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality compliance. Maintain detailed training and personnel records for all staff. Address and resolve production issues related to equipment, materials, and processes promptly to minimize downtime. Partner with quality and engineering teams to troubleshoot challenges and identify long-term solutions. Coordinate cross-functional communication with R&D, Engineering, and other departments to support process improvements. Support safety and compliance by upholding company protocols and encouraging a culture of accountability. Review performance metrics and implement action plans to improve efficiency and meet KPIs. Manage inventory and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production flow. Recommend enhancements to production systems, workflows, and training programs. Take initiative on other projects and tasks as needed.

What You Bring:

Proven experience in high-volume manufacturing, ideally in the medical device industry. Hands-on knowledge of process validation, transfers, and audits or inspections by regulatory authorities. Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and their application in day-to-day operations. Ability to work flexible shifts to meet production needs. Experience working in both start-up and commercial manufacturing environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or a combination of 5–8 years of related work experience and training. Previous leadership experience in a fast-paced, regulated production environment.
